The ride to Conyberry takes a little over half a day. The sun has just begun to descend from high in the sky when the ruins come into view. Not long after, the party's wagon rides into the remains of the town, which is mostly undecipherable stacks of rock interspersed between random trees and dense shrubbery. The Triboar Trail dissects the strange ruins in two. Keeping his eye out, Glynn makes out what he assumes to be the smaller trail he was instructed to take heading north and west into Neverwinter Wood.
The trail is less clear than the Trail, but still passable, even by the wagon, though you sometimes have to help the wheels get over occasional tall roots and out of random holes. The forest grows dark and still as the trail winds deeper into the trees. Heavy vines and thick layers of moss drape the branches, and the air is noticeably colder than it was in the ruined village. Rounding a bend in the trail, you see a screen made from the warped branches of trees standing close together, woven into a domelike shelter in the shadows. A low doorway leads inside.
Ian will hop out of the wagon, and motion for Gruxx to stop the wagon, and hold back
He moves to the side, into the woods, and quietly up to the opening, attempting perception from a different angle than Glyn, in case someone is hiding that Glyn cant see.

HDP, who had been working on a ballad as they rode, slowly goes quiet as the woods get darker, and colder, and spookier.
Glynquinal, you listen hard, but hear nothing both the woods around you ... a little wind, birds chirping, some small creatures moving through the underbrush. If there's someone inside, they're either being very quiet, or something else might be keeping you from hearing them. You knock a little awkwardly on one of the thicker branches that make up the natural dome. It makes a small noise, but nothing like you were hoping for. After a short wait, you still hear nothing from within.
Despite the natural debris littering the floor, Ian, you move into the woods almost silently.
Glynquinal, you enter the dome of woven branches alone and find a home of sorts is sheltered within. It is sparsely furnished with chests, shelves, a table, and a reclined couch, all of it old and of elven craft.
As soon as Glynquinal touches the first chest, the air grows cold, and a powerful feeling of dread grips him (and anyone else who has entered at Glyn's call). A cold, pale light flickers in the air, rapidly taking on the form of a female elf, her hair and robes waving in a spectral wind. She might have been beautiful once, but a hateful expression twists her features now. "Foolish mortals," she snarls. "What do you want here? Do you not know it is death to seek me out? Are you here to rob me?"
Ian did step into the area, but stayed at the edge. He lets Glyn take the lead in the conversation, but he is still holding a loaded crossbow in each hand, covering Glyn, in case anything should go wrong. He looks around, to make sure this "thing" doesnt have backup.

HDP walked into the area, and notices the fine craftsmanship. He moved a little closer, to see if he can discover anything about the craftsmanship or who owns it by the work.
HDP perception 14
When the spirit materializes, HDP takes a step back from whatever he was investigating, keeping Glyn between himself and the female elf.
Glynquinal sensing tbe depth of the cold thnks quickly. "Spirit, I am Glynquinal Witherwind. I am here at the request of a Sister in Phandalin. I was to go forth and seek you out, for there is a great need of knowledge only you could possess. I apologize for disturbing you, but I knew not how else to make contact."
Gruxx at first jumps out with his glaive ready to defend his fellows but seeing Glyn keeps a calm nature keeps Gruxx at bay. Gruxx will stand silently in the back with his glaive in a non-aggressive manner.
HDP can't quite make out exactly how old the furniture is, but it is very old and very well taken care of. He can appreciate the craftsmanship and the preservation.
The female elf gives Gruxx a sideways glance, but doesn't react to his violent impulse. She looks at Glynquinal as he makes his apology, and she appears appeased by it. "Speak clearly, elf," she responds.
Glynquinal, respond and include a persuasion check.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
asked you to persuade a banshee named Agatha to answer a question about a spellbook. Garaele gave you the jeweled silver comb to give to the banshee to help persuade her to tell what she knows about the location of a spellbook belonging to a legendary mage named Bowgentle. Sister Garaele believes that a character who flatters Agatha’s vanity might be able to trad
Glynquinal, looks directly into the haunted eyes of the specter, " Beautiful Agatha, I am tasked by Sister Garaele to find you. IThe Sister needs your help in finding a spellbook created by the legendary mage Bowgentle. Your kindness in this matter would be greatl appreciated. In fact, I would like to reeard your help with something that wiuld match your beauty."
Glynquinal shifts his pack around to dig out a decirated Silver comb, Please, would you have it your kind soul to help me in my task?"
Ian and HDP are already in the cart.
Ian says "Waiting on you now."
Glynquinal will walk along the cart unless the trail gets too narrow. Then he'll drop behind it until the trail widens out again.
Grux you drive, I will ride up front with you!

Gruxx grips his glaive watching Glyn intently. Patiently waiting to come to aid if needed.
Rock will stand with Grux with battle axe
Glynquinal will enter the structure to discover what lies inside waiting.
Ian has has loaded hand crossbows, one in each hand, covering Glyn from the side.

Glynquinal calls out to the other elves,"Ian, Herr Doktor, come take a look."
He then begins to examine the chests, trying to open the first one he sees.
