Glynquinal smiles broadly seeing Gruxx get up an put a hard hit on the Yellow Redbrand. quickly drawing his scimitar to join with his already drawn short sword he will swipe with the scimitar at the Green Redbrand.
OOC: Ha! The tides have turned, now. You guys are squeaking by, but it's working!
Gruxx gets to his feet and immediately swings his glaive in a crazy, yet deadly arch, cutting a massive gash across the (yellow) Redbrand's stomach. His sausage-like guts begin to tumble out, and the man falls on top of them with a nasty squelching sound.
Glynquinal spins his scimitar at the (green) Redbrand and immediately thrusts forward at the (black) Redbrand with his shortsword. Both Redbrands look at their wounds for a second and then succumb to their injuries and collapse.
Glynquinal, you can move if you want. Herr Doktor, you're up! You're either in row 5 or 6, but three squares to the left of column A.
The Herr Doktor Professor moves to the front of the glowing Redbrand, to prevent the latter from gaining cover from the building, and strikes with his rapier: 17, damage 5.
Regardless of whether the Redbrand goes down or not (this one has proven uncannily lucky, the Herr Doktor Professor tells himself), he will then move east as far as he can (to C3). If the Redbrand still survives, the Herr Doktor Professor will risk the attack of opportunity from his foe.
As he turns the corner of the building and sees Gruxx standing amidst the fallen Redbrands, the Herr Doktor Professor shouts out:
"Enemies to the left, enemies to the right,
Enemies before him, and enemies behind,
Though bloodied and bruised, Grux of the the Sky Pony tribe,
Refused to abandon the thick of the fight.
Brought low by his foes, Grux did find
The strength, to rise anew, and bring victory to his side!"
The words give Gruxx a Bardic Inspiration dice to use.
Jumping back out from around the edge of the building, Herr Doktor thrusts his rapier forward, skewering the glowing (blue) Redbrand through the middle. The bard then turns and moves around the back of the building, leaving the Redbrand to collapse to the ground dead, his corpse still glowing merrily. As Herr Doktor passes the edge of the building (B5), her recites his poem, encouraging the human barbarian. As he is finishing, he realizes the (orange) Redbrand has caught up to him and is not looking too happy! The man takes two swipes at the bard with his shortsword. (shortsword attack 1: 17, damage: 5 slashing damage; shortsword attack 2: 23, damage: 5 slashing damage) Distracted by his own doing (being poetic is hard work), both attacks land, but the good Doktor is still standing.
Round 6: Daran, Rock (raging), Ian (dodging), Gruxx (raging), Glyn, HDP (concentrating), orange
Daran, disappointed — but not surprised — that his attempt to intimidate fell on deaf ears, moves to a more central location (D11) and begins praying loudly to his goddess, "Dearest Chauntea, we thank you for your loving touch. Please, once again bestow your bounty of health upon all five of these brave ones." Rock, Gruxx, Ian, Glynquinal and Herr Doktor feel a sudden breeze blow across their faces, bringing with it a calm energy which heals someALL of their wounds.
A reminder about rage: Your rage ends early if you are knocked unconscious or if your turn ends and you haven’t attacked a hostile creature since your last turn or taken damage since then. You can also end your rage as a bonus action. In other words, if all you do is move this round, your rage will end.
Ian will move around the building, (where HDP was, the corner above where the Blue redbrand is laying on the ground) and fires his bow again at the Orange Redbrand.
To Hit: 17

Ian will then move back behind the building for cover.
(Bonus action) Ian will bend down and see if the Blue Redbrand has anything of value on him.
Rock begins searching bodies, the action calming his rage and clearing his mind. Ian moves north, fires an arrow at the (orange) Redbrand's back, and the arrow lodges in the man's shoulder. Ducking back around the corner ((A-4)7), the rogue begins searching bodies.
Glynquinal, hearing Gruxx trying to catch the last Redbrand knows the chase is on. Gynquinal calls out to Gruxx as he runs "Come on friend Gruxx. Surely you can beat a slow elf to the prize. " Fleet of foot, Glynquinal races away to C5 with his movement. He will then use his action to -A5 taking a route that doesn't bring him into melee range until he stops directly behind the remaining redbrand. Once there Glynquinal will strike with his Short Sword.
OOC: Gruxx, you can dash to get right next to the Redbrand at B4 or A4.
Gruxx runs through the dark yard, the cool breeze and steady exercise calming his rage.
Glynquinal also runs, circling around the Redbrand and trying to use Herr Doktor as a distraction to gain an upper hand. He strikes with his shortsword. The Redbrand hisses at the pain, but it still standing.
"Throw down your weapon and surrender," the Herr Doktor Professor tells the remaining Redbrand. "Your kamaraden have paid for their crimes against the people of Phandalin.
"You can join them in a shallow grave -- or you can tell us what happened to the missing family of the local woodcarver, Drendar. If his family still lives and is returned unharmed to Phandalin, I shall persuade the mayor to exile you from the town for your crimes -- instead of executing you!"
(Persuasion or Intimidation check -- DDP's call; HDP will use the Inspiration point to roll with advantage): 24.
If the Redbrand is unconvinced by the bard's words, he will stand his ground, distracting the Redbrand while Glynquinal or Gruxx finish him off.
OOC: HDP, I won't make you use the inspiration. I'm sure you would have been pleased with the 19 and not used the inspiration to roll again. I might be wrong, and if I am, please tell me. Maybe you would have rolled for a nat 20. Also, it's not often that a player gets to see the results of something like this (they generally have to wait until a few more people go before the one they're talking to gets to respond), but he's next in order:
The last Redbrand looks around nervously after Herr Doktor's words, surveying the battlefield and the hardened faces of Gruxx and Glynquinal. He drops his shortsword.
Combat over.
"I ... I don't know his name," the man says quietly, almost whispering in a surprisingly high-pitched voice, "but I think you're talking about that fellow that was given to the nothic. His family is going to be sold into slavery. They're at the hideout."
On the bodies, the group finds a shortsword and human-sized studded leather armor each, 7 silver pieces, and 10 copper pieces (total between all the bodies).
