Glynquinal to the Redbrand, "Yes, Bugbear meat. You don't think they were left alive did you? they died as quickly as your other three companions. It seemed like the only thing they were good at.."
"Wait, what? You killed the bugbears?" He looks around, still bleary-eyed, but recognition coming into his bleary eyes. "You killed them. You killed my friends, didn't you?" The Redbrand lunges at Herr Doktor.

OOC: Herr Doktor, make either an athletics or acrobatics check to see if he grapples you, or if you dodge the attempt.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"If he thinks bugbears are his friends and selling a family into slavery is fun, then this Redbrand needs to die," the Herr Doktor Professor thinks. He makes a slicing motion across his neck and points to the Redbrand, even as he attempts to dodge the grapple.
OOC: Is Glynquinal in close enough proximity to assist the good Herr Doktor? If he is he will enter the fray to ensure nothing untoward happens to his companion.
OOC: As far as I remember, everyone is in the room together.
The Redbrand grabs Herr Doktor, wrapping his arms around him and pinning his arms to his sides. (The Redbrand was sitting on the floor. Herr Doktor was kneeling beside him. The Redbrand has HDP in an awkward bear hug.)
OOC: With Gruxx and Rock pretty much surrounding the Redbrand and Herr Doktor, let's modify your attack just a bit.
As quickly as he can, Glynquinal draws two daggers, and with a flick of each wrist, the blades fly through the air. The first sticks in the wall right beside the Redbrand's head, causing him to turn and loosen his grip on Herr Doktor. The second lands in the scarlet-cloaked individual's chest. His arms slacken, and Herr Doktor rolls away from him onto his side. The Redbrand looks down at the dagger, then goes limp.
Glynquinal says, "Herr Doktor, are you still in good health?"
Pondering the trouble they have ahead of them between a wizard and a Beholder to the rest of the party Glynquinal asks, "Which path do we walk next? Toward a troublesome wizard or a Beholder?"
Glynquinal will retrieve his daggers and search the Redbrands body for anything of interest.
"Danke sehr," the Herr Doktor Professor tells Glynquinal.
"You were right to be wary of the Redbrand, and your timely action has likely saved my life!
"But at least we now have a general idea of where the nothic and this wizard are located. Let the party decide what should be done next. This nothic might be related to beholders and sounds dangerous, but it is only a pet of the wizard. I believe Gruxx has the right idea. We should kill the master. If we can catch the wizard by surprise, Glynquinal and Ian might be able to slit his throat before he gets the chance to cast a spell at us."
"Hey Grux, I think they plan on you and Me being the noise makers so they can get a peice of the wizard, are you up for making a bit of noise with me!"
Ian to Grux and Rock Dont worry about that wizard. He may know some spells, but you guys have the brawn. Just grab him (grapple) and dont let him go. While you have him subdued, Glenquenal and I will take care of him while you hold him.
Glynquinal agrees, "We can move quietly while you two go in loud and make some noise. The wizard will look to deal with you two, and might never see either Ian and I coming."
Standing up after searching the Redbrands body sliding his daggers back into their sheaths, "I have an idea or two on how to deal with him, if we can get close enough."
"Be wary," the Herr Doktor Professor tells Ian. "Even a grappled mage can cast spells using only his voice. Speaking as a spellcaster myself, I know that a slit throat does more to stop a mage than grappled arms."

The Redbrand turns to look at Glynqinal. "Bugbear meat?"
“Go for the eye. Sounds simple enough.” Gruxx says to Rock.
“I’m on it. I’ll get some haunches they’ll be easier to carry.”, Gruxx says to Glyn.
Gruxx will then go to the other room and hack off two bugbear legs. He will then stow his glaive so he can drag one with each arm.

Gruxx looks to Glynquinal, "Now THAT was impressive! Wow. Well done."
Gruxx gives the Redbrand a shove with his foot to ensure he is dead.
"Are we good to continue then? This wizard sounds like a challenge that could go down in Bard's songs!"
The Redbrand slides sideways against the wall. He looks pretty dead.
Glynquinal says, "Herr Doktor, are you still in good health?"

Rest to recharge a bit
Yes
