Maegan, you lash out with two blasts. As the first blast is about to hit, the skull shrieks and an arcane shield springs us around it for protection (uses shield spell as a reaction)... but then the crit smacks it square in the forehead

Lilyth, you're up!

"This is awful, this is awful, this is awful," Lilyth repeats to herself as she focuses her magic into her amulet of Thoth. "Please give strength back to my friends--"

Her amulet glows a dim blue for a moment, then sparks of brilliant colors shoot out and hover over the groups heads (Wasif included) as she casts Prayer of Healing(3rd level) and heals everyone for 20. As the colors fade, she extends her shield hand and casts Spiritual Weapon (bonus action) right next to the flaming skull. A transparent tome is formed with the symbol of Thoth etched in the front.

"You're mean!" Lilyth shouts, the tome ready to take a whack at the stupid skull of BULLSHIT fire.

SMALL problem: Prayer of Healing takes 10 minutes to cast - you can start casting if you like, or if you want to choose a different action that is also possible!

Yup! That works!

Wasif rolls over and gasps, fully healed as you channel the power of Thoth to aid your companions. You summon a hefty spectral tome that swings at the floating skull, but it dodges the blow.

That brings us to Erok!

Erok snarls at the flameskull.  "Bring your fire, foul creature!" he roars.  Erok attacks the flameskull (2 attacks)

Attack 1: Attack: 17 Damage: 6

Attack 2: Attack: 19 Damage: 6

He will spend one ki point to use Flurry of Blows as a bonus action:

1st: Attack: 17 Damage: 7

2nd: Attack: 19 Damage: 4

(Hmm the Flameskull is 20 feet up in the air, but you can give me an acrobatics check for monk parkour shenanigans - or you can do something ranged instead! Whatever you'd like!)

Cora felt Lilly's amazing healing powers, once again, spread it's joy and warmth all over her body. In the heat of battle (get it?), she reminded herself to thank the cleric for her amazing powers of keeping her alive. If it wasn't for Cora's instinctive fancy footwork as a rogue, she would have been in MUCH worse shape. 

Erok: The creature is out of reach... at first. But you kick up off the wall and fly at it with a flurry of blows. The arcane shield deflects most of them, but the final hit cracks it across its bony face.

Wasif: Gasping as he returns to consciousness, Wasif will get to his feet and use the dodge action.

Cora's Turn!

I'll will NOT use acrobatics to run up the wall and attack.

I will NOT try and attack the Flameskull with my main hand, then use my bonus action to disengage.

OH SHIT IT WORKED! I TRICKED THE DICE ROLLER! LOLOL.

Cora: You vault up, and sink your blade into one of the skull's sockets while it's distracted by Erok and you deal exactly enough damage to kill it. The skull crumples to the ground, the green fire extinguished. 

As you all catch your breath, you can now see that the golden glint at the statue's feet is a tablet. It is covered in glyphs and jagged at the top like it's been broken in two. There is also the gleam of a ring on the now headless corpse kneeling in front of the statue.

BOOYEAH!!!

Erok pauses to catch his breath.  He bows slightly to Cora.  "Thank you, my friend."  He gestures to the rest of the party.  "Perhaps someone can take a look at the ring and the tablet?  They are perhaps magical and most likely trapped, if history is any indication."  He turns back to Cora and smiles, his pointy teeth glinting a bit in the light.  "Let's hope the rest of the way is less . . . fiery, yes?"  

Sheathing her blades, Cora lets out an exaggerated laugh. "Yes, lets.", she says, unconsciously feeling the back of her neck. "Nice job, everyone."

I'll take a gander at the ring and the tablet.

 Cora- You can't tell much about the tablet. It isn't magic. There are patterns on it but you aren't sure if it's some kind of writing or a drawing... it's really hard to tell.

The ring on the other hand is in pristine condition after thousands of years in this tomb- only a magic item could keep it's condition like that after so long. You aren't able to tell what it does, but you know from experience that you can learn the properties of a magic item by spending some time with it.

You look for traps and find nothing.

Cora, squatting in front of the tablet and ring, is wary as always of traps, and doesn't touch anything.

"The ring looks magical, but I can't identify anything other than that." she says to the others. "The tablet? Can't tell."
