Running out on his little feet, the old gnome, quickly reaches into his components pouch and retrieves a hot pepper. Stuffing it in his mouth and making an arcane gesture around his stomach, he casts Dragon's Breath on himself as a bonus action (choosing fire as the damage type). He then uses his action to breathe a gout of fire from Dragon's Breath over the rogue, the axebeak, and the two zombies (prioritizing the rogue and the axebeak if he can't get all of them).
(All those effected take 6fire damage, or half on a DC 13 Dex saving throw)
Humphry then uses the rest of his movement to get back to corridor.
Before Humphry can exhale his flames the axebeak dissapears to be replaced by a bewildered half-elf bard and one of the zombies is decapitated by the halfling rogue. These changes notwithstanding, the assembled creatures are consumed in dragonfire.
"Hey! shouldne you be guarding someone's lawn?" The bard taunts, causing Humphry to misfire. However, the fire still singes the hairs of the rogue and bard for 3 damage and hits the zombie full on, consuming what little rotting flesh it still had.
The enemy wizard prepares to counter with a spell of his own.
The human wizard conjures a blade and swings at the wight, but his blow is wide of the mark. The zombie lurches towards the bard and winds him with a rotting fist to the midsection, while the wight drops the wizard with an arrow to the face. The wight then proceeds to send another arrow Humphry's way, but it whistles harmlessly over the gnomes head and embeds itself in the door.
(To clarify, I made a mistake in my calculations. The enemy wizard is still up and swinging.)
The next few seconds are a blur. The rogue springs away from the zombie, dodging a rotting fist in the process, fires a crossbow bolt at Kic. The bolt ricochets off the stone wall and whistles over Humphry's head. Then the bard acts, casting Thunderwave in a confined space. Stone rains from the ceiling and explodes from the floor, glancing off of Kic and Humphry for 1 bludgeoning damage. The zombie is also caught in the debris.
(I play everything strictly TotM and I often forget to visualize the scene for the players.)
Perry stands beside Dagon in the open doorway. Kic lies in the debris of the second door ten feet to your right, and Humphry darts about five feet away. The bard stands alone twenty feet away, the area around him in a fifteen foot radius decimated by his Thunderwave spell. Twenty feet behind him the rogue, wizard, and fighter surround the wight.
Perry raises the bow up as the door shatters and the debris clears. There's a momentary hesitation as the massive bear that is Kic goes flying by, but the monk sees his target in the bard and lets loose an arrow.
Dropping the bow and rushing forward to continue the assault as he focuses a bit of ki then unleashes a flurry of blows against the bard.
