I take up position with Caesar at the rear of the group again. As we walk i scan in all directions but especially the rear for signs of trouble. Caesar sniffs the air from time to time and grunts.
Travis, takes up position towards the rear of the group again. Mounting his horse and following the troop eyes peeled for danger. Light crossbow ready for trouble.
Let-Us looks to Jason, " A ring of teleportation you say?". She turns to Rachel. "Can you show me this ring of yours that your group finds so useful to me?"
Hearing this statement from Let-Us, I wonder how she thought Rachel was reaching them so quickly, with our limited magical ability. Waiting to see how this pans out, I keep a weather eye out through Ariel as he orbits high above us.

“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?" "Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied ― Barbara Hambly, The Witches of Wenshar
Let-Us examines the ring and then hands it back. "Well that does explain a few things. Make sure you come see me when you get back to the stronghold."
She turns back to Jason. AS far as getting these rocks to work in our favor I thank that Lywenta is close to making it work for us. Lord Douglas says it works like Walkie Talkie from where you all came from. I am not sure what that is. I know he is stressed about this Merklin guy and we all are trying to make sure his stress is down." She looks at Rachel then continues. "I think time is going to tell how everyone in this area will react but I am sure we will get ahead of the search."

I am relieved and surprised there was no bloodshed done at the meeting. I am also a bit surprised the Let-us didn't know anything about the ring Rachael had.

I look at Let-Us with unease. What does she mean by her comments? I nod to them as they depart through the gateway. I'm lost in thought for a minute before turning to my friends. " This is worrisome. That was kind of awkward. Im not looking forward to speaking with her when we return. She had no idea i had the ring and realizes it is from her husband. This puts me in a less than ideal situation. No telling what she is thinking. "
After our discussion is over i will take my spot at the rear along with Caesar.
I'm rather uncertain about this development myself. Let-us certainly had not inspired confidence in me in our last major interaction, when she had spoken of bringing Dennis back to life as one of the undead. But we'll have to deal with that later.
"Yeah, I'm wondering if that was something Lord Douglas had given her sometime in the past, or has some similar significance for her. She may no longer make use of it, so he may have thought it wouldn't matter if you had it. I'm sure I don't need to tell you to be cautious."
"But for now, yeah, lets get moving, at least a little bit."
You all gather up and head towards the trading post. It is not that long of a ride to get there as you continue in a more quiet forest as a hush of activity is now gone. After a little over 90 minutes you come upon the edge of the woods and see a great lake or possible a small ocean extending out away from you. It is a very large expanse of water and you can see some distance ships upon it. As the shore moves to the north you soon lose sight of it as it extends past your vision same as the sore heading to the east as it curves to the south before heading east from where you are standing. Ahead of you is a nice sandy shore with a pier that extends a good ways out into the water as waves come crashing onto the shore. The waves are not huge maybe two feet at the highest. At the end of the pier is a large building with smoke coming from the chimney. This is a well made building with stone walls and a metal roof. Along the front that faces the water is a large porch that runs the whole length of the building. This porch offers great protection for the elements to include the two suns glare. There is a large window in the middle of this wall along the porch but it is shuttered closed at the time. As you get closer you can see the front door is well made. You do not see any lights on inside. You also can see that the second sun is slowly moving towards the western horizon. Maybe the trading post is closed for the night.
"Shall we call out and see who answers? A very defensible position, for sure." I say, as we approach the dockside. "Maybe they serve a good cider? One can hope."

Seeing and approaching the expanse of the waterway and hearing the waves crash upon the shoreline, I briefly get lost in thought of the first time I saw the ocean and sounds that where there. Seeing the building though, it looks a bit out of place being at the end of the pier like it is. I suggest to the group we use caution.
I nod at Morgaine's suggestion, indicating for Ping to fly down and take a closer look. "It seems a little early for a place like this to have closed, but if that's what they've done, we should be able to make camp nearby."
I study the sight before us with great interest. " This finally feels like we are becoming part of the greater world. This could be huge for us. This opens up our trading opportunities to who knows how large an area. " Im just a little concerned about our reception with this trading post. If they are loyal to Merklin ...."
"Indeed, a trading post may give us all the edge we need in this world. We, will soon discover where their loyalties are. More, than that who exactly are their trading partners,"? Travis says.
"This, may prove lucrative for us in learning who exactly are the enemies here and who isn't,"? He adds.
Looking around for a suitable place to spend the night, I state "I'm looking forward to finding out just what kind of world we've landed on. So far, we've been ignorant to an extreme."

Ping is only able to see a dim light in a upstairs shuttered small window. It is on the east side of the trading post just under the roof. It would make sense that this could be a bedroom where the occupant of the trading post can spend e night in relative peace. If anyone knocks on the door they will not get a response. As Ping watches the light goes out and the the trading post is now totally dark.the doors are barred from the inside and the doors seem to be well built and quite solid.
You are able to find a nice place to camp for the night at the edge of the water. The night passes quietly for a change and soon you feel and see the light of the first sun on your faces.
Waking up early i walk down to the water. I splash it on my face to wake me up. Looking down into the water i brush my hair out and prepare for the day. Judicially applying a little makeup to emphasize my full lips and make my eyes pop. Caesar watches me lazily from nearby. Im thinking " Well this is the moment of truth. This could have a big impact to our life here. "

I look at her with a bit of surprise. Taking the ring from around my neck i hand it to her. " Here you are my lady. "
I blink, "You did not know?" I fall silent then, wondering if I had made a mistake somehow by bringing it up.
