The Druidess tells Rachel she can spend the night here with no worries. The three of them will be safe from any harm. As Rachel is getting ready for the night of peaceful rest Ping comes and lets her know of the meeting and how it went plus the new accommodations for them.
The main group is lead outside of the castle and turns to the right on the side street that is wide to give ample room between the estates and the castle walls for clear shots at any attacking force. You pass many large fine mansions before you are brought to one. The young man bows to you as he gives Jason a key. "This is the only key outside of this mansion. There are two others inside. The place is decorated already but feel free to redecorate as you wish. The cost of that will be out of your own funds however. Good evening to you all." After handing the key over he heads back towards the castle gates.
Before he leaves, I tell the young man, "Please convey our thanks to whomever arranged this for us."
Looking at the mansion, I slump my shoulders a bit as tension leaves them. It was done.
I turn to the others, "All right, we've got some nice new digs, but that's not reason to assume we can relax. If we act poorly, it reflects poorly on our nation, if we're seen poking into affairs we're not meant to, its assumed that we're spying for our nation. So watch what you say, do, and associate with."
"We're not trained ambassadors, not by a long stretch. I think it would be best if in our next meeting with the king, we propose that we offer to escort an ambassador of his back to our nation, and let the experts take it from there."
Travis, comes and checks out the mansion with the others having finished gleaning information from the library. "Escorting, an ambassador although not without inherent dangers. Is most likely more of a doable task for all of us," Travis mentioned to Jason.
Nodding as Jason sets ground rules, I ask "Since we need to fund our operations here somehow, maybe I can begin making some minor magic items for sale, or some other way of earning an income until we head back home?"

“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?" "Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied ― Barbara Hambly, The Witches of Wenshar
I grin at Jonathan. " Things went well for them it sounds like. I would send Ping back but he will be handy in the event we need to get a message back. " If Ping seems instructed to leave I will tell him to let the others know that all is well and we will return tomorrow. Finding a comfy spot I curl up and am quickly asleep. We will begin our return journey the next morning.
Nodding at Grant's comment, "Sounds good to me. We can probably make a decent amount of money here working together, then use that money on our own stuff."
We'll shift our stuff from the inn to the mansion appointed to us.
" I meant to the city with our friends. We must check out our place there. Sounds like it is time for a party. " I am troubled for a moment as I think of what the druidess had shared with me earlier. " In case of emergency we could travel straight back to the stronghold if need be. Hopefully that isn't needed though. "
Everyone settles in for the night as Rachel and Jonathan spend a rather comfortable night at the shrine and the others find a room with a comfortable bed after moving all items from the inn and to the new mansion. You will find that it has ten different bedrooms with each holding a small privy room. Each bedroom contains a wardrobe, a desk, a comfortable chair and a queen sized bed. Each room has a simple lock on the inside but you can not leave and lock the door.
The moring arrives as the first sun is coming up over the horizon. Rachel and Jonathan will find that they are fully rested and have a calmness over them. There is a small table set with fruits and nuts for them to break their fast. Cesaer has a rather large pile of bananas and leaves that he is currently eating beside him. The others slowly wake up at the mansion.
Caesar grunts happily as he stuffs himself. I smile as I enjoy the nice breakfast. " Well, this has gone pretty well I must say. I got most of the answers that I was looking for. Thanks for coming with me Jonathan. "
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
With a quick wash down and fresh (ish) clothes, I head down to breakfast. Seeing what the kitchen has to offer, even though the magic of the orbiting stone defers the need to eat and drink, I'll snack a little before exploring our new home, looking for anything unusual about their new digs.

Travis, awakens from a good night's sleep in his own private bedroom. He, sees a table with fruit and nuts and gravitates towards that first. Then, snacks on them pondering how he could be more useful at this juncture of time. It, didn't take him long to realise what that will be. Before, having a quick wash and trying on some clean clothes. Ready, for a brand new day.
He, seeks out the others after breakfast with an idea of his own. "Because, I've recently had a chance to read up on the herb lore around here. In their spacious library I would like to go out and pick some herbs. To, make up some useful potions not just to make money in the local markets. But, useful if we need to escort important dignitaries around the place. Ive, read up on some locations not far from here. Laboratory glassware like retorts, alembics and burners would come in handy here. Perhaps, a lab for myself and Grant,"? he said.
(KN, could you tell me how far away plants would be? Ones, that would prove more useful is plant ingredients for (1) cure light wounds (2) Invisibility.(3) Sanctuary (4) pass without trace. He, would have an idea reading the texts from the library)
"A lab here in this place may not go over well, they're dirty messy and dangerous. Might I suggest that we take our business in that regard down to the mage tower? They have been quite accommodating already, and might have spaces we could use. They might even be our first clients, or point us in the right direction."
"I wasn't sure we would be allowed such free use of their stuff, but that is much better than trying to set up our own. When do you want to head over there?"

I shrug, "I wasn't sure if it would be free, but I think we can live with them taking a reasonable portion of the proceeds in exchange for not having to go out and haggle for everything we need. As to when, how about we head off inside the hour? I know I don't have much else on the table for today."
Those waking up in the mansion will find the kitchen bare of any foods or drink. The lader is also empty. Any food items or drinks need to be acquired along with any staff members to cook, clean or otherwise maintain a mansion of this size. Even though it has recently been cleaned you can see and tell that there is no regular maintenance of the mansion. This will be something you have to figure out. To break fast you will have to go to the market place.
Once you get something to eat many of you head towards the mage tower. The door will be its normal self and grumble at letting in the rift raft and all but allows you to enter. Upon inquiring about a lab to use you will find out that it costs 1 gold per day for use and any explosions will be additional costs due to possible damage to the unseen servants. The lady Diana will tell you that any finished magical items can be sold at the mage shop by the market place. There they will buy any magical item. (55% book value)
Rachel, Jonathan and Cesaer all head back towards the city but it will take most of the day.to get back. But they arrive back about the time the first sun is setting.
"I hope we have the money to pay our bill," I say grinning but half serious. "We're spending a decent amount on accommodations when we're not even here. I guess as long as they're taking care of the horses properly it's worth it. I'm going to go check on them before heading upstairs. I won't be but a moment."
I grin as we rejoin the others. Caesar claps his hands together with great enthusium. " Y'all have done well here. I am so glad to be back. We learned a lot on our road trip. I then share about my meeting with the Mother and what she told me regarding the rulers of the kingdom we were currently guests of. The last private info I make no mention of. A cloud passes across my face briefly as I think on it and is gone.
