As Jonathan reaches the altar of Bahamut a glow surrounds him as he kneels before the altar. Those watching see what appears to be small dragon like creatures surrounding him golden in color. He is surrounded for about ten minutes before they and the glow surrounding him disappear.
When the glow fades you see Jonathan standing there in full plate armor with his sword and shield in his hands. Both the armor and the shield now have a dragons head engraved upon it. The late armor is full mithril armor as you all can see.
When I knelt down my dress was better off then a poor country knight thanks to the mithril breastplate provided by the group, my blade blessed from the Knight of Bahamut at the time of my download but as the time passed, the soreness forgotten, I was lost in true serenity. Standing up I gather my tools, I see the blade and note the new intricacies to it and that there's a dragon shaped dagger next to it. I reach for it and that's when I see the mithril sleeves adorning my arms, I look down to see myself clad in a brilliant full plate suit of the same mithril I was wearing. My heart beats harder as I stand and reach down for the blade, it sings slightly as I swish it up to drop down into my sheath and as I turn around my armor and shield have surprisingly transformed and there center mass of my chest is Bahamut's head, the holy symbol of his order, front and center on the armor. I chuckle, "Oh, this will definitely work. Time to get to protecting!" I hop off the dias and the lightness of such a massive armored suit surprises even me. "
"I'll have to get used to wearing all the extras, but that's what training's for." I reach up to see of the helm has one of those plume feathers but there's no one there so I thumb up under the visor to take the helm off.
As Jonathan removes his helmet while facing you you all can see that he has changed. You all see a platinum blonde dark elf standing in front of you. Has this change been for the good or not only time will tell.
Travis, goes over to Jonathan and checks up on him. "Well, indeed look at that transformation that's come over you. But, you may want to have a look in the mirror now. Let, me see this all looks familiar mysterious Elf shows up then pow. But, if my dungeons and dragons roleplaying experience back on earth serves me well. I would say welcome Paladin only problem is that you're definitely not in Kansas anymore. Apart, from that how do you feel,"? Travis asks.
Upon seeing the glow on Johnathan, I just there in awe. Transfixed on what my eyes are seeing, remembering the times back on Earth that I had felt the prescience of a higher being come over me. Did I "glow" too when that happened...I wondered.
When Johnathan removes his helmet and I see his transformation..I don't know what to say. The following go through my mind; Seeing Jason's change was one thing, that was his choice and one he wanted to do. Was this the same....? Maybe we will find out in time and when I can find my voice once again and ask him. Unless of course he states so along the way back home. Home..sounds so wonderful to call it that.
The others will see a smile come to my face as I stand there looking at Johnathan.
I blink as Jonathan's transformation, and again as it is revealed to have been a good bit more than just the armor. "This group seems to have what I must assume are higher than average odds for turning into dark elves, I'm not sure what to make of that."
Fishing around in my pack I find the mirror of polished steel I kept in there, protected by a wool pouch with thin silk lining. It wasn't nearly as good as the glass and aluminum mirrors we were used to from back home, but certainly better than nothing. I hold it out for Jonathan to inspect his new face.
Seeing the glow build around him, I feel a sense of peace and divine attention on him, the transformation almost expected. When he reveals his new race, I ponder the reasons for it, but shrug knowing that in a world of magic, anything can happen. "Jonathan, did you ask Bahamut for this change, or does he need you to be a Drow for his own purposes?" I ask, curious.
Once things are settled, I'll prompt "If the way is clear, let's go and prepare to leave, before the ones arrayed against us recoup and regroup enough to impede us further." With a silent prayer to Bahamut "Thank you for allowing me into your graces, and feel free to guide me as you see fit." I head out with the group back to our home for packing. "
“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?" "Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied ― Barbara Hambly, The Witches of Wenshar
I hear everyone talking about the change and I take the mirror. "Well, that's different." My eyes dirt around self-consciously. "I may not have asked for it specifically, there is a part of me that's been thinking about taking that potion. I guess Bahamut knew that."
The group is able to proceed back to the mansion that has been assigned to you with no issues. Ariel once again in the air can provide that you are no longer being followed or even hardly glanced at.
I look at him in shock. " Everyone wants to be an elf it seems. It's like an actual D & D game. " I grin and laugh. " i guess that you and Daishain have committed to staying here. You might receive an odd reception back home as a drow. " I study him curiously. " Your new look suits you Jonathan. I am glad that Bahamat spoke to you like this as well."
Before we depart, I approach the altar, I do not kneel, but I offer a simple prayer of thanks for the intervention.
As we leave, I nudge Rachel a bit and say quietly so others wouldn't hear, "Oh so NOW you believe in the local deities." I smirk a bit to show her I'm just playing the fool.
Once back at the mansion, I'll say, "All right, so I think its fairly safe to say we can't consider this place safe anymore. Unless someone has something that must be done, lets batten down the hatches and then head straight for the ship in the morning."
"Thanks, but I'm trying hard to remember the name of the god in D&D that had the seven sisters. The god that supported good drow, all of the sisters had Platinum Blonde hair. Cuause, I'm pretty sure that although we appear to be like Drow, we're not going to get evil urges or Bahamut wouldn't have done this. I mean, I can be petty, who isn't from time to time, but I've never been evil. That I know. I've never stopped realized something was a detriment to life and did it anyway. You know what I mean?"
I nod in understanding. " This is quite interesting. I was agnostic on our world but here.....I can't deny things that I see happen right in front of me. Well met, Paladin. I believe that you will continue to do good as well. It is just strange that you were turned into a dark elf which are normally evil. "
Turning to Jason I grin. Replying in a very low voice intended only for him I say, " I have seen too much now to still disbelieve. "
"Yeah, following a deity in game was a regular thing for me, even if I didn't have a divine class. I remembered reading somewhere that being agnostic in a world where you KNOW there are divine beings meant you chose to not follow them. Meanwhile it was also said that many people followed multiple faiths like the old Greek pantheons. Anywho, I'm still amazed at how well this suit moves. I was worried Patience might have some issues... well, that's another one. Gonna have to get patience used to the new me too. I hate to say it, I may need... I need a new horse. One more suited for what we do. She's definitively not built for combat and it looks like with Merkin, we're gonna have more of that."
I nod in agreement "There are no atheists in the dungeon. I, myself have been recently God-touched by Bahamut, but certainly not to the degree YOU have, Drizzt." I say with a grin."Before we leave, we should shop for a suitable war-trained mount, and bring it aboard tomorrow morning. Want to do some shopping?"

Herschel looks up at the sky but with the trees foliage it seems that there i trick in the sky as while he can not seem to see the sun itself it appears to be in two different places in the sky Either that or there are two suns instead of one.
The party feels that while the Mansion may not be totally safe you can still head to the market to see if anyone has war trained horses about. In a area like this where you have seen some oxen, horses and mules as well as another large beast with three horns on its head a war trained horse should be a great find.
As I Head East (lol) I will first check the ground at my feet before moving. If my clothes have changed from the jeans, collared pullover dress shirt n multicolored tennis shoes let me know what Im wearing. Otherwise I’ll walk along to The Ants Go Marching tune. After reaching 10, I should be in what would be the median of I 435. Any tracks/trails/roads? What type of trees-do they look like anything I’d recognize-Maple, Oak, Redbud, Sumac, or any conifers?
You have a mixture of pines and furs as wel as leaf trees of many sorts some that you have never seen. As you travel eastwards you can see more trees all around. There are rises and falls as if walking on some gentle rolling hills but you see no interstate. No roads but you do see game trails here and there. You need to roll a spot check.
