The group has no issues opening the door to the gate house and exiting the dungeon once again. As they exit the hole they can see that it is late afternoon. The women are glad to be out and safe and head towards their village with the three teens escorting them to the village for safety.
Everyone gets 300 experience for leading them to safety. Just to be clear that there were 8 potions 2 of each color and the same properties. Plus the bag of gems.
Bastion waits for the villagers to get out of earshot before turning to the others and saying, "Well, the past few days have been interesting to say the least. I don't know about you, but I mean to finish this. I think we could spare one night for the sake of real food and rest however if people feel the need."
"With fewer of the common to protect, it may be the better difference. And before the vampire may rebuild and rearm and repair defenses much. I agree, plus I can spend a little time with other preparations." Kixarn says, relieved to have endured the gauntlet this time.

“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?" "Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied ― Barbara Hambly, The Witches of Wenshar
Watching them go, Ghanima ushered a prayer to her god to watch over them as they departed; "Bless the rising Moon, may the grove keeper open her eye ever the slightest to watch over those that return to their flock and make the night birds sing their songs to remind them they are no longer deep in the clutches of the underworld."
Myth checks the draw on his swords and snaps the bow quiver in place. Locked loaded and ready to roll, but a nights rest and warm food would be welcome.
Avan offers more to Arilynia while politely, somewhat reluctantly due to the severity of the situation, cracking half a smile back. "Since the teens are not using it, take my Holy Water Flask and sickles for when they get too close; one's silver and one cold iron."
He turns to the group, "come to think of it, I won't be able to use neither my Pearl of Power, good for spellcasters to recall a single spell, nor my Scarab of Protection, a powerful item that resists magic and negates some death magic. The second should be worn by whoever will be in the thick of things and needs the magic to make up for... a lack of training and experience."
"Thanks for the fitting words Ghanima," Avan says. "It sounds like there is some overlap in our worship. Do you think the local spirits of the night know of Mielikki? Worship her?"
Back to the others Avan says, "Let's finish this. Nothing stands in our way today and if it's too much to handle, now we can escape to a safer place."
At Avan's words about 'lack of training', Kixarn looks up from within his hood, certain that he is being obliquely mentioned.

The group is able to make it back to the village with little dificulty. The villagers are happy that you made it back and the women and teens too. The inn gives you all rooms for the night and after a nice meal you head up to get some much needed rest. The morning comes all to soon for some of you but soon you all are downstairs and braking your fast. Soon you are ready to head back to the ruins.
At Kixarn’s reaction Myth slides over and places a hand on his shoulder. He’ll softly say under his breath Easy brother. I don’t believe any slight was intended. He could just as easily meant me.
Bastion spends much of the night outside, watching for any signs of retaliation coming from the ruins. He disliked giving up this day, but he knew that being trapped underground like that was hard on his companions, whether they complained or not. He wondered if everyone would be returning with him, or if some would choose to bow out. The wizard, Kixarn, had seem half terrified the whole time he was down there.
There wasn't much he could do about it save for wait and see. As the first hints of dawn came about, and people started to rise, the warforged made a point of securing several waterskins and food rations in his haversack. He did not need them personally, but recent events had proven that an extra supply could not hurt. He also asks around for rope to replace the lengths left behind in the ruins. He'd prefer silk, but since that was likely in short supply out here, hemp would do.
Regardless, soon enough he stands waiting for the others to be ready on the outskirts of the village.
Myth will rise early and look for a place outside of town to practice his forms. After working up a sweat and stretching out his muscles he will head back to the inn to wash, break his fast and rejoin the group. As there is no actual cleric he will remain with the group.
Rivoril, thankful for an agreement for a nights rest and a belly full of food. Indicated earlier his intention to head back and finish the business in the dungeon with the possible vampiress?
He, restocks his supplies with oil and rags as this proved effective before against some undead creatures. Restocks, his arrows sharpens his rapier in the meantime. He, asks Bastion if he could have one of the cure light wounds potions for emergency use.
Kat rested fitfully that night. She was glad of the rest but also anxious to finish this task. Waking up before the dawn she works on sharpening her kukris. As the first hints of dawn appear she joins the others. She is hoping to enter the tunnels before full daylight hits. The full rays weaken her strength.

Avan offered his safety deposit disk to the village priest, who seemed to be the most capable of leadership. "This is just in case we don't make it out alive. It's a deposit disk you can use at a bank and I don't want it to fall into the wrong hands. There's not much there, but likely enough to attract the interest of the next party of adventurers. I hope you keep it hidden and safe and pray for our return to your gods."

Heading to the inn, Avan asked the innkeeper to keep watch on the priest's movements and make sure he doesn't run off, but didn't reveal why. Avan suggested using the teens to track him down if he goes missing, then, as the afternoon progressed, thanked the innkeeper for his help by tipping generously (5 gold) for his wine and meal.
He slept early, confident in Bastion's watch, so woke just after midnight. He gazed at the town from his window, still and calm in the night, almost tense as the final showdown loomed ahead tomorrow. He went to Bastion, watching the sky for reassuring portents, and asked the metal man, "Has there been any movement tonight?"
He kept watch at daybreak as Bastion rounded everyone up and secured the supplies.
Whistling his jackal over, Avan mounts up, longbow in hand, ready to finish this but worried for everyone's safety. "Will we retrace out steps inside? Or head straight for the areas we haven't seen yet?"
Bastion shakes his head at Avan's question about the watch, "All quiet. I was worried about another reprisal during the night, but it seems they chose not to counter attack. I think we can call that a good sign. It likely means they no longer have fighters to spare."
Later when everyone was present and Avan brought up the question of destination, he states, "I'm thinking we ought to set up traps on the passage down to where we have already explored, just in case they slipped some people down there, and then push on. I don't know about you guys, but I would like to end this today if we can."
"Sure, thing I can help with setting up some traps down in that passage before continuing on. Let, me know where exactly you need them,"? Rivoril answered Bastions query.
There is still no oil to be had in the village as you used all of it in the one fight. They have yet to get a new shipment in.
The Priest takes the disk from Avan and tells him it will be safe until his return. The priest does not appear to be greedy at all. The Inn keep will look at Avan strangely but says that he will keep an eye on the priest.
You all head back towards the cave. Getting back to where you were before is not hard. Just let me know where you wish to place traps.
Kat grins at Bastion. " Let's end this now. It is safe to say we are all in agreement on that. No mercy and no rest. I have other places to be than here. "
"I am sorry to hear that, I thought we were building a report here. I was going to see where they were headed after this because they have obviously figured out some of the ins and outs of this adventuring business. My god allows for exploration, the main reason I chose her as the focus of my devotion."
