Darastrix places a hand upon the book case and taps his claws slowly. Bothered by someone being in his room, and annoyed that they're hiding. Begrudgingly he'd attempt to move the books.
The lizardfolk is able to slide the bookshelf away, revealing a large opening in the stone wall that was not there the morning before. sticking his head inside the newly discovered hole, he can see what appears to be part of a section of an old mineshaft..

Vruuk stashes away the dagger with the intent to study it more in detail later where the light wasn't quite so limiting. The same goes for the coin and rope. Of the body itself, again his stomach rumbles in protest; but again, he ignored the plea and picked up the body. "I'mma gonna be right back again. Now yaw'll try not to get into more trouble till then, aight?" Vruuk said awkwardly as he adjusted the body on his shoulder. In the process of walking back to the base of the stairs, he finally notes the engravings...
Darastrix grumbles and considers a few things as he peers into the darkness. After a moment of reflecting, the lizard would walk over toward his stash, grab a torch, light it and head into the tunnel
Vruuk picks up the corpse and stands next to Ash before examining the engraving along side the centaur. They are both able to read the text but Vruuk can tell that the style of the engraving appears to be dwarven. The Engraving reads "May those that peruse the book of tears be crushed like the dreams of the innocents killed at the hands of the Silver Lady"
Vruuk, while looking at the engraving also notices out of the corner of his eye the faint outline in the dirt of what appear to be a hand full of pressure plates in the next hallway.. similar to the dirt and dust covered plates in the previous hallway...
Darastrix grabs a torch and steps into the mineshaft. The walls are a mixture of dirt and stone with thick old wooden beams every so often to support the tunnel from collapsing. about 20 feet into the tunnel, the lizardfolk can see an area where the thick wooden beams was recently hacked apart and and the tunnel has been collapsed. Sticking out of the rubble appears to be a bed sheet that is moving just a tiny bit... it is also whimpering...

So as Sayre goes to examine the corpse as Vruuk is holding it prior to him taking it out of the pit, she goes to grab one of its dangling arms to examine it and it pulls away from the rest of the body and falls back into the pit. She can see that it is not starting to rot yet... but beyond that she doesn't know... (Vruuk still has most of the corpse)
As Darastrix inspects the tunnel, The area he is standing in appears to be relativly safe. It looks as though the only reason the tunnel in front of him collapsed was because the beams were destroyed with some kind of bladed weapons on purpose. As you get close to the sheet, it begins to wiiggle and you can see what appears to be a small hand or foot pushing against the inside of the sheet.
(not all the corpse falls in, just the arm that Ash tried to grab to examine. He does not recognize the corpse.. you can tell it is a human but one of the spikes when through his head and then Vruuk wasn't really graceful in ripping the body from the spikes... so not all the head is really quite there either.. but that wasn't Ash's fault lol. Anyone that saw the silver robes from last night would know that the robe that corpse is wearing is the same)

"I think Pa made it though. The engraving... Which means..."He trails off into 'hmms' as he pondered it. "Watch yer step though, if yaw'll planning to go further. Ya see there?"He points to a plates in the next area. "More traps. Prolly of the crush'n variety given the warning."Its at that point he notices that the body is one arm lighter, having been carrying over his shoulder. Seeing Ash still very much interested in the thing, he sets it back down for her study in the mace light. He sniffs at it too for good measure to see if he recognizes anything more about it.
