Pok'im swings his fists around in a circle (I'm picturing them as being manacled in front of him) at the dwarf (Attack: 14 Damage: 5) in an effort to knock the guard to the ground.
The jig is up Veng thinks. Prepared for this possibility as the guard points the pike at Pokim Veng draws his blades and hilt to temple attacks the guard.
Could I swing both at once, using the blunt ends and hit either side of his head? That would be quick and nonlethal...tomorrow is going to suck for him, especially after we drag him into the alley and use his keys to undo the cuffs while I take his uniform and weapon and assume his form.
So as the dwarf points his pike towards the two of you, Veng knocks the tip of the guards pike away with his dagger befroe slamming the hilt of his shortsword into the side of the guards head. At the same time, Pokim spins around quickly and lands a hard hit with his closed fists on the other side of his head. The guard drops to the ground with a loud clatter as blood runs down his nose and out of his ear before mixing with his beard.
A moment later Pokim Quickly pikes up the guard and the two of you duck into an alley way.
(What are you all doing now? And remember... while some people in town may not have liked you / hated you / wanted to kill you guys, other people would have been fine with you and been friendly because it wasn't like you were outlaws or anything... well... until you assaulted a guard lol)
It's not assault if they draw weapons first.(edit-we could have killed him didn't even try) Veng is taking the guards weapon, armor and appearance. Then continuing to the Church.
(well the only person he saw was Pokim, since Cinders is in a bag and you had someone elses face lol. I mean it is dark so he may not be able to pick Pokim out of a line up of bugbears but at the same time you have only ever seen 2 bugbears in town and they happen to be your brothers :D )
So as Veng approaches the church disguised as the guard with his bugbear prisoner still behind him secured with a rope (I am assuming you removed the manacles) he is greeted by an older looking man in a silver robe as Veng opens the larch door to the cathedral. "why hello their Mr. Stone, what can i do.... What is that?!" the man would say taking a step backwards away from the pair entering the room. "Did.. did... you catch the creature that was causing all the problems earlier today? Why would you bring him here?" the older gentleman would ask, relaxing a little but a look of confusion still covering the old mans white bearded face.

"Hello. Yes this is it. I didn't bring it here initially but after checking, no actual town laws were broken. Some of the fellows were just going to let him go but after such a commotion that didn't seem right."
Veng/Stone lowers his pike and almost leans against it.
"Faith is a personal matter. I tend to put my faith in law and order. The law wont deal with his disruption of order and that vexes me. As I hear around town theres a woman here..Cassandra? Who has an interest in your less reputable beings. I was hoping to speak with her about this, Thing."
On the last words Veng/Stone smiles a little
Perception 7 do I see any of my other siblings hiding watching over us? (Edit, probably not or they aren't hiding well...)
"Cassandra... yes, she is here, but I don't know what interest she would have in your... prisoner" the man would say running his long thin fingers through his beard. "She normally manages retreats and church outings... and other community events to help spread the word of the Silver lady" As he says silver lady he will pull out a silver crescent moon medallion from inside his robe and give it a kiss before continuing. "Wait here and I will go retrieve her." the old man says with a smile before shuffling off across the huge open cathedral. He shuffles past a large number of pews and ornate stone pillars before entering a room back behind an alter at the far end of the building. A few moments later a tall thin woman with a soft face and short black hair tied back into a small pony tail will make her way towards the dwarf and bugbear. "Hello mr. Stone... what can I do for the both of you? Father Bryon mentioned that you need my help with this... menace?"

(what are Gin and Vruuk doing? Did they meet up with the others in the ally before they went to the church? are they going after the cart driver? What is happening with them :D )
Veng notices that Her soft and gentle face and expression harden for a moment as her eyes move to the bugbear, as if disquested but it is only for a fraction of a second before it changes back

"Not sure what you were told but I've no law to use to punish this thing for today's antics. If you weren't around he caused quite the disturbance but unfortunately isn't being charged with anything. Before just releasing him I decided to bring him here, as a guard you hear things and your name came to mind. Can you help me? "

After the whole "incident" mostly resolved itself, Vruuk led to Gin to a nearby roof of a building across the way from the church so they can at least observe the whole initial part conversation. At least he intended to, but if Gin wanted to find a closer perch, he won't stop her. In fact, ever since night fell, the bugbear had become increasingly more reticent to do more than gesture in between the occasional yawn to communicate his thoughts.

So Vruuk and Gin would be able to see them clearly as they enter the large cathedral but once they go inside, they lose sight of them.

The dark haired woman would look to the dwarf and then to the bugbear... "Well I can certainly try to show him the error of his ways and try to fill his heart with light of the Silver Lady.... ummm... perhaps he would like to sit down with myself and a few of the other members of our perish and we can discuss better ways for him to serve the community." The woman would say with a gentle smile. "The Silver lady wants nothing more than peace and order, I think our teachings could do him some good.."
As the woman finishes her sentence, Father Bryon returns with a pair of larger and much younger men. Hey are wearing common clothes and appear to be in their twenties ."Here you are Cassandra, I went and brought Lucas and Wayne for you." The old man will ask before making his way over towards the dwarf. "Thank you Father, I will take it form here" and with that the woman snaps her fingers and the two me move to take the rope from the dwarf and if he does nothing to stop him they will begin taking him towards a different room off towards the right. "We will do our best to help educate him to the best of our abilities and show him the error of his ways" The woman would say before following behind the two men and bugbear.
Father Bryon would turn towards the dwarf and with a smile say "I sure hope Cassandra can straighten out that furry fellow, it would be a shame for him to have to sit in a jail cell for just a little mischief" as he places his hand on your armored shoulder. "Can I get you a drink before you go? I was surprised to see you, especially with a prisoner... I assumed you would be watching the northern gate tonight like normal. You better not let your wife find out that you are taking more dangerous assignments again, You know how she worries about you." he says with a sincere look of concern on his face.
(what are you all doing, currently they are taking pokim away and father bryon is talking to Veng (who has cinders) and Vruuk and Gin are outside and cannot see anything)
"The shape he's in isn't too dangerous currently, and I didn't leave the gate unattended. Things like this are why we almost never guard solo. A drink sounds great but I am on duty...."
Veng talks casually almost slowly waiting to see if either sibling with him does anything.
Vruuk had been dozing on and off again through most of the exchange. But seeing the group start to disappear inside, he shifts to circling the church to find a good and sneaky way inside. Like perhaps an bell tower roof or openable window on a higher floor. At least loosely circling, as he wanted to keep his distance for his long as possible before risking any B&E.
(SO much for being more subtle than last time hahaha)
(you are going to have to RP how you are non-leathaling him because he is just an guard and that would be enough damage to kill him lol)
