As Veng walks past Stone, the dwarf speaks up. "Ya know... my partner told me not to trust you two... said bugbears wern't to be trusted... said this would happen... I guess I should have listened to him" He says as his eyes move from Veng to the ground.
"I could have killed you, but I knocked you out. I could have killed you but I hid you in an alley. It's my experience that 'your people', dwarves, are loyal and love their families. If your family was missing what would you do? Would you want every dwarf judged by your actions. And for the record, the bugbear didn't do anything to you, I did when I panicked trying to free him. I panicked and my instinct wasn't to kill but to protect my family. I am sorry though. "
(The bugbear punched one side of his head and you punched the other :P)
"I would have gone to the Watch! I would have asked fer help! Are you saying I should be thankful you didn't murder me?! For doing my job? For trying to help you? Yeah! yer right, I love my family and I would do anything fer them but I wouldn't go round beating people up and telling them they should just be happy I didn't kill them.... " The dwarf would grumble.
The dwarf shakes his head a bit and leans back in his chair. "Me wife is going to be pissed at me fer letting this happen" He says with a smile as he closes his eyes.
The Captain said we're going to help find our parents, Veng is waiting to be told what to do, at least for the next 10-15 minutes. Don't want to make more waves right now.
"No good." Vruuk(?) had stated after seeing the dwarf. But instead of panicking and rushing over, Vruuk instead looks to the filing out church members (or the like), and tries to pick out one or two that looked shady for some quick sketches.
Performance: 15. (Still think it should be dex. T.T)
Only after finishing up with that does he take the rooftop express around the village square, and makes his way over to the building. Once there, he lowers Gin down and shoos her over to the building. If his intentions first are unclear, he waves a hand over his face, and then gestures to his ear. Both being classic gestures for 'disguise' and 'listen in'. While she heads on her way(hopefully), Vruuk tries to position himself to keep a look out on both the constable HQ and the Church at roughly the same time in secret from up high..

After a few moments Brock will yell for Penny and she will quickly head back to the interrogation before returning a couple minutes later. "So uh... The Captain asked that I help you find out what happened to your family.. uhh... He said that I am in charge of this case and that I need to make sure you all stay out of trouble... So maybe you can all meet me tomorrow morning here in the afternoon and we can discuss all your evidence and leads and figure out a way to go from there ok?" The woman says nervously. (You get the idea that this is her first real big assignment)
"Yes ma'am, we can come back with everyone and you'll have no trouble with us." Veng will go to exit trying to avoid direct contact with Stone or the Captain.
At the door as he is leaving "good night and again, sorry" Veng will start walking home.
Vruuk watches and makes sketches of a pair of men's faces as they walk away toward the nicer end of town. The sketches are pretty good from what he can tell before the two men walk out of his line of sight.
Pok'im is worried when he sees Veng leave and mutters to himself "should Pok'im stay quiet ... yuh dat be good idea ... no it be not, Pok'im should go see if Veng is ok .... but he might make things worse and innocent peoples could get hurt .... Veng will be in trouble if Pok'im not help ... NO! Pok'im will wait a bit and then go look for Veng."
So to cut a long story short Pok'im stays hiding in the shadows.
Cinders just sits silence as the whole thing goes on. When Veng emerges from room, Cinders looks worried but at a look from Veng he doesn't fuss, he just goes back to looking at his feet, which are swinging off the edge of the chain (not even 3ft tall!).
When Penny speaks up, saying how they can help, he looks up and smiles a toothy grin. "Yes, yes. We will be here. No need to worry about us."
He then follows Veng out of the station, calling Vignar over once they are outside.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Alright, but if I don't get some sleep, that's the last of my spells," Gin muttered. She made a few hand gestures, muttered something in Goblin, and cast Disguise Self. She took the form of a young dwarvish lady, with red hair pulled back in twin braids and faint stubble on her chin, dressed in simple monk's clothing. She would pull out the holy symbol of the Sylvan Ghost and give it a tight squeeze before hiding it again. She started heading towards the building Vruuk had taken interest in, walking with a feigned air of distractedness and doing her best to eavesdrop on anything going on nearby.

If Vruuk sees Gin struggle, and the others begin taking their leave for home, he just watches in secret. At least until it looks like Gin would need some guiding over the others. After all is said and done, the bugbear puts off his usual nightly patrol to sneak out, and follow the others back home.

(Sure, Vruuk found a jug of Church wine in the mans bedroom as well.)
