Rather sleepy from all the events of the day, Gin was nearly half-asleep before being given the instruction to search the room inside the church. She would rub her eyes, stifle a yawn, then grab Longjohn the mouse out of her trouser pocket and move him to her coat pocket—he'd feel less movement there, so at least one of them could get a proper rest. She would start exploring the room, opening every drawer insight, as well as checking under the bed and beneath the mattress. Although it had been years since her time living on the streets, the routine of searching for loot was muscle memory. 14

Having seen to it that the Old Man's clothing had been folded up and set atop a nearby chair, Vruuk turns to see how Gin had progress so far. Perhaps even if help, if there seemed time for it. Otherwise, he focuses on carefully checking out the open area to make sure no one had come in. Yet.

So Vruuk works to tuck the man into bed and then stands near the door looking outside to the main area of the church. While he is doing this, Gin lazily and sleepily makes her way around the room, pulling out items items as she goes like a tired looting robot. She finds items in the wardrobe, a desk, and bookshelf.
(You can decide if you are going to steal any of these things or not, up to you)
1 x silvered dagger 4 x flask of holy water 1 x healing potion 3 x sets of common clothes 2 x sets of fine clothes 15 gold pieces 3 x simple silver robes 1 x ornate silver robe 1 x brass key 1 x silver key 1 x prayer book titled: Light of the Silver Lady (Which you would know is the name of the soggy book with a hole in it that was in your basement) but this version is not as fancy as the one that you all found.
If Vruuk is advised on what's found, he'd suggest only taking one of the simple silver robes, healing potion, and the keys. And to make sure that everything else was left behind in its proper place. The whole time he says anything, it is methodical, monosyllabic, and without the usual country accent behind it unlike Vruuk's usual voice. Either way, he feels Gin climbs back onboard before sneaking out, closing the door behind him, then make his way into one of the side rooms (will say the left side of main door).

In spite of Vruuk’s suggestion, sticky fingers aren’t so easily overcome. She would snag one of the simple silver robes, both keys, and the healing potion, but she would also take the silvered dagger, all of the gold, all of the holy water, one of the sets of fine clothes, as well as the prayer book. After climbing back onto Vruuk’s back, she would open the prayer book and start defacing it with drawings of fighting stick figures, and scribbling “The Sylvan Ghost bless this nasty book” on the cover.

Gin manages to stuff all of the equipment she wants into her bag before the two of them make their way towards the room on the left. As you walk through the doors you, notice a number of simple wooden desks and bookshelves spread out around the long narrow room. As you look around you get the feeling that this is an office that would normally be used by people for administration.
(there are a number of desks and bookshelves that can be examined / looted. This room also appears to be empty and there is a door that seems to lead outside from this room.)

Gin immediately hops off to keep looking for goodies. Waste not, want not, right? She took extra attention to the bookshelves, checking for any books that might be particularly entertaining or useful.

Gin, moves very quickly around the room and manages to find some ink wells, quills, and some loose papers but doesn't really notice anything anything else of value or interest as she quickly moves through the room.
(Is vruuk investigating the room? Also both of you roll stealth please)
Veng thinks enough time has passed without commotion. "Pokim, I'm going to the guards, hopefully we find a nice one who will care about what's happened to our family"
Vruuk cannot help but subtly roll his shoulders at the added weight, but otherwise doesn't question it aloud. After sneaking over to the other door and taking a quick peek outside hear or see if anyone is coming again, he turns to looking over the room. Only this time he joins in on examining the room, and in fact takes point. Unlikely as it was that they'd find anything incriminating, he looks through the desk and bookshelves like a professional investigator.
Almost!
"Find?" He intones in a more gravely voice.
Perception: 6 if at advantage from Gin choosing to Help this time around then: 14. (If Investigation, -2 off the above scores)
As gin blows through the room at a rapid pace, Vruuk manages to find a a few plain looking books and upon opening them he sees a large number of names and information inside. (Vruuk roll me another investigation roll for just the book you found)

She pockets several of the quills. She also grabs a book at random off of the shelf, and uses one of the inkwells to write "Silver Lady is a *****, this message courtesy of the Sylvan Ghost" on a random page before re-shelfing the book. She figures her god would be proud of the small act of vandalism committed in their name.

As veng emerges from the alley (who is all going with him?) he spots the City Watch building sitting across the town square in the center of town, on the other side of the great weeping willow tree. As the he makes his way up the well lit stone steps leading to the building and opens the heavy wooden door, he is approached (and anyone else with him) by a short blonde haired woman in a city watch uniform."Hello, what can the watch do for you this evening?" She says with a smile as the torch light casts shadows across her freckle covered nose.
"Help...I hope" Veng is approaching as a changeling. "Our homestead was attacked Ma and Pa are missing." Veng will slump down sitting on the steps looking up to her and take Brunt's face"this man" changing back to himself. "He was one of the attackers, he was the only one who survived attacking us. He told us of a woman (changing to Cassandra and back) he was to meet her at a tavern. I did wearing the face of the attacker, she paid me for a job well done. "
Veng pauses, breathing heavily "I'm sorry " he composes himself some. "A dog killed Brunt before we could get more information from him. Cassandra is at the Church, a carriage dropped her there after paying for the attack. This was the driver (showing the face from the excellent drawing Veng was shown). I don't know him....I don't know what to do. "
The woman is obviously startled and shocked... either by your story or by your face changing shape right in front of her eyes.. "Uhh, Captain... Captain! I think you need to hear this." She will exclaim as a large burly half orc makes his way out of a room behind a number of desks and approaches the changeling (and anyone else with him) before stoping very close to him and giving him a quick sniff. A moment after the short woman explains to him what Veng just told her, the huge dark skinned man will turn to Veng and snort. "Yer one of Slate and Ruby's kids aren't ya.... a face changer.... So you say yer parents and siblings are gone... so how many of ya are left?"the captain says eyeing the changling before looking to the woman. "Get yer paper an take notes would ya!" the half orc barks before looking back to Veng (And cinders / pokim if they went inside)
Yeah I'm gonna tell the guard that and how Cassandra paid what she thought was a bandit
