Steam practically billows out in bursts from the wereboar nostril and breathing became rapid as memories resolved themselves. For a while there, it even looked like he might charge the tiefling. Slowly but surely however, Vruuk gets his breathing back under control long enough to straighten back out from a ready to sprint posture, marches over to Carmir, and stare daggers down at the man. "Ya betta got a good reason fer bein' here, chicken shit! A >real< good reason. 'cause wit' Ma and Pa miss'n, I ain't 'xactly in the mood fer yer antics."
Up close and personal, Carmir can see hints of the former full-blooded bugbear brother in the face of the beast as well as in clothing. While not as much of a clean freak as Pok'im, the armor he kept was meticulous kept, though not nearly as much as the prized bow strapped to his back. His eyes were almost never seen, but even yellowed by the transformation, the shock of green within is reminiscent of Vruuk's own.

So as Vruuk finishes his statement, an expression of pain will wash across his face as he begins to feel light headed for a moment. His body begins to shift and crack as the bones in his body relocate and morph back to their natural state. The large tusks protruding from his jaw revert to what appears to be just a bad underbite with a pair of sharp teeth out from between his lips. This hair seems to settle down a bit as well and is not nearly as bristly but is still much more course than it had prior to his transformation. Each of you realize that it must be dawn now... and now that the excitement of battle is over... you are feeling the fact that you have been up for over 24 hours.
Spotting the newcomer, Pok'im lunges forward and picks him up, before he has a chance to respond, into a bone crushing hug as he then spins around with newcomer in his arms saying to Cinders and Vruk "Carmir's back." He puts the newcomer back on the ground and says "are we gunna rescue Ma and Pa like we used ta pretend back when we was Captain Notorious and his faithful sidekick Cubby!"
Cinders wasnt really paying much attention as he was practicing how to aim his firebolts on points in the caves. At the sound of conservation he turns around and spots Carmir. "New friend? Oh do you mean Vignar here?" Cinders says with a grin as he scratches Vignars ear.
When Vruuk approaches Carmir, the tiefling's grin immediately slides into a grimace, and his hand goes to the hilt of his rapier. His eyes narrow as he looks at the strange creature glaring at him before they become wide and surprised. "Vru —" But he isn't able to finish the word as he is lifted bodily off the ground and spun around, arms pinned to his sides. He gasps as he is released, and he leans over a little, putting a hand on the rock wall to recover his breath as Pok'im begins reminiscing. After Carmir watches the last of Vruuk's transformation back into the black-furred bugbear he remembers — or at least a reasonable facsimile — he blinks at Cinders. "No, Sparks, I wasn't talking about your dog. Is that you, Ghost?" Carmir asks Vruuk.
Vruuk never cried about. But even as the reversion comes to an end, he is left on all fours panting as if he ran for miles upon miles. He shakes his head once or twice before eventually finding his feet again. A mix of emotion plays on his face as Vruuk takes in everyone again. Surprisingly, none of it was anger; just mostly confusion. Then the memories flood back, hitting him so hard that he sways in step for a moment, but never quite falls again.
"Mmmn... Lot rougher than I thought it'd be. I'm sorry, Pok'im. I ain't-..."He sighs, then finally turns to address Carmir. But though he opens his mouth, not a peep leaves it, leading him to sigh again and rub the back of his neck. Without another word, Vruuk turns to look around for a place to settle in for a long rest, carrying not one wick about sleeping on a cave floor.

(So you guys are only about 20 or 30 minutes deep into the mine shaft. you could head back and rest and eat at your house while filling in your brother on what you all have discovered so far.. and how his brother is now a wereboar)
Carmir watches Vruuk move away, then seems to catch himself, and the grin returns. "Looks like ole Ghost has gone through some changes while I was away. Anyway,"he says, drawing out the word, "it sounds like you lot are aware Ma and Pa were kidnapped. The rest of the kids as well, it looked like. I seem to have some time on my hands, so I think I'll stick around ... maybe help you try and get them back. Whatdoyasay?"
Unless prodded along to follow, Vruuk is gonna remain in the cave to sleep, eating dead bats. Conversation, otherwise, fall on deaf ears as far as the black-furred bugbear was of a concern.

Carmir chuckles as he struts past Pok'im and Cinders following Vruuk, his hand trying to be smooth, but tentatively and quickly reaching out to pat the mastiff's head as he walks. After a few paces, the tiefling turns and places his fists on his waist and puffs out his chest. "I can't promise anything, Cubby. But I'm here now. You're a big boy, so don't be sad." He looks over his shoulder and watches Vruuk begin to bed down. "It looks like dear old Ghost has picked this as his bed for tonight. Why don't we stay together. Safety in numbers, you know!"He looks down at his clothes and makes a surprised gesture. "How embarrassing." He makes a sweeping gesture down his front, not quite yelling, "Scourgify!" Immediately, the dirt and grime disappears from his clothes. His eyes find Pok'im's and he winks, a cheeky grin on his face. "Looks like we're camping tonight."
OOC: If it isn't apparent, I would suggest we stick together.
OOC So are you guys setting up a camp and going to try to light a fire to cook some bats or setup a watch or just all get some sleep and scarf down some rations in the dark before continuing? I think you all have dark vision so the dark isn't really a big deal for you all I suppose :D
OOC: I assume by your suggestion that there is wood to collect for a fire.
Carmir points at some of the pieces of wood scattered about. "Help me collect some of this wood. We'll get a fire going and make some supper," he says brightly. After a small pile of random wood pieces has been assembled, the tiefling looks at the pile, again with his fists on his hips. "Wet wood smokes like a house fire. Let me dry that up." Carmir does a quick two-handed maneuver that creates two snaps and a pop with his fingers and palms before pointing at the wood and saying with a grin, "Siccum." The wood lightens in color slightly as a transparent cloud of vapor rises from the pile and dissipates. "Now ... incendio," he says brightly, making a quick gesture with one of his hands. A sudden blaze erupts from the wood. Carmir is standing a little too close to the pire, and he steps back suddenly, uttering an exclamation of surprise. Cutting his eyes toward Pok'im and Cinders, he laughs, standing up straight again, and running a hand down one of his horns. "Meant to do that," he mumbles. "Now," he says more loudly, "what have we got to roast over this fabulous flame?"
Pok’im scrabbles around in his pack and pulls out a few bits of dried meat and says “this all Pok’im got and it not need cookin’ But thanks for fire Carmir” as he chews on a bit of meat.
Much as Vruuk tried to immediately fall asleep, the crackle and faint warmth of fire causes him to stir back into consciousness. After spending a few moments of silent debate, he goes from staring past his shoulder to sitting by Cinder, chewing one of his bats. "... " He sighs, then after another moment or two launches into the story of the church and their connection their parents. At least everything he knew as far as he knew it. But afterwards, Vruuk curled up to a wall sleep.

So using a few old discarded Timbers that you assume had been helping to prevent cave ins at one point in time, you manage to have a small fire and meal before taking a long rest in the dark cavern.
As Vruuk is relaying the story, all of the new bravado Carmir has been displaying disappears. He is fairly rapt by Vruuk's tale. When the bugbear finishes, Carmir says, still someone solemnly, "I ... I can add a little to the story." He explains that a couple nights ago, he arrived at the orphanage to find a commotion going on, despite the late hour. "The Stonephoenixes were always very strict about curfew when I ... lived there, so I couldn't imagine things having changed that much in just a few years." As he approached the house, Carmir was able to see a number of figures wearing silver robes. Many of them were carrying what looked like lumpy sacks over their shoulders, which the tiefling quickly realized were actually children being taken from the orphanage. A moment later, he was spotted, and after badly wounding a number of them, Carmir was over powered and restrained. A woman wearing a much more ornate robe with her face concealed by a silver mask approached, called him a "filth-blood," and told her goons to take Carmir as well. The next thing Carmir knew, he was regaining consciousness while being dragged through tunnels. He deftly picked the lock on his manacles and was able to flee deeper into the tunnels and evade your his silver-robed pursuers until they gave up and disappeared farther into the mine. "I have since been wandering the tunnels looking for ... your family, but I've been unsuccessful. But now that you're here," he says, nudging Pok'im with the bravado returned, "we should have them rescued by dinner tomorrow."
Cinders just sits down by the fire, enjoying the warmth and the story. He doesn't have much to add, but he is a little sad he was beaten to lighting the fire but doesn't let this show. He goes and grabs a few bats and some bits of wood. Using a knife, he makes a few thin sticks, which he skewers the bats with and holds them over the fire to roast.
