Durnan, overhearing your conversation, looks at you gravely, saying “I’m not going to stop you if you pay, but I don’t think you’re ready for Undermountain.”

"So..." Shere purrs and grins, revealing one of his canine teeth, "The Undermountain can be reached through this well? Tell me..."Taking another pull from his pipe, "Why is this not boarded up if such dangers could emerge?"

“Pay?” thinks Uradurk. “Uradurk doesn’t have much money.”

Cassius scoffs at the offer, “I like you Durnan, but if you want me to go on a troll hunt in your basement, you are going to need to pay me.”

"Can i get another Ale here?

"What do you know of this ummmmm undermountain? Say we take care of this problem with the trolls and such... Surely we can, perhaps, enter a partnership? Otherwise, once word of this gets out...wellll... you might not have a bar at all..."

Shere blows a puff of smoke in Durnan's direction.

Uradurk sees Shere trying to strike fear in the bartender and wants a piece of the action. He positions himself behind Shere and strikes a pose with his greataxe. Intimidation 2

Durnan looks at you, his stern gaze still fixated, and speaks. “The Portal has gone through worse than this before. Don’t bother me again, or i’ll make you leave.”

Cassius finishes examining the portal and returns to the bar and orders another round, and makes some small talk with the others who were capable enough to fight the troll. 

“So what brings you the portal? I’m always on the lookout for jobs and coin, and you fellows seem up to the task. Got any work for a capable Kobold?”

Turning toward Yagra Stonefist, "This kind of thing happen often around here?"

“Quite a lot, i’d say. The trick is to just pretend it’s normal.”

(Okay then, I think we’ll pause the campaign until the 29th, as I have things to do up until then. At that date, we’ll discuss whether or not we continue the campaign with only three players.)
