Necromancer's Delusion-Homebrew

Gaelin, frustrated at the creature's unwillingness to die casts another Guiding Bolt at 2nd level towards the creature.

Yes! Zinmaer is absolutely willing! Lol hasted Giant Ape #LetsGo

Zinmaer transforms into a giant ape causing the creature to lose it's grasp on Zinmaer.  The creature, starting to show damage, spins and arches its head back and releases a line of lightning towards the ape and Mucor.  

Zinmaer and Mucor make a DC 16 Dex save or take 59  lightning damage or half on save.

Jinara, Mucor, Zinmaer!

(Uh oh... the ape might be short lived..concentration and all that..)

(We both have advantage on DEX thanks to Haste)

Seeing the lightning heading his way, Mucor is able to raise his wooden shield in time to absorb some of the electric shock. Gritting his teeth as lightning arks between his horns, Mucor will shake off the spell effects and snort. "I'll circle behind and flank it!" He will shout as he moves around behind the creature. Once behind the creature he will swing once again drive his staff down hard into its body before snarling "Rot where you stand you wretched beast!" he will shout while casting blight.

Haste Attack: 17 Damage: 11 plus 4 poison
Reaction: 16 con save or take 9 necrotic
action - spell blight - con 16 or take 28 necrotic, half damage on success

(Zinmaer stays an ape.  Nice rolls guys.)

The staf breaks one of the hundreds of ribs while the spores continue to damage the lungs from the inside.  The creature recoils as Mucor's spell hits and though able to slightly resist the spell it causes a 5 foot section of the creatures scales to turn white.  The creature roars defiantly and writhes in pain refusing to go down.

Zinmaer, in his giant ape form, will angrily retaliate in response to the lightning damage.

Jinara will send 2 more beams of Eldritch Blast at the beast.

The giant ape beats its chest and with one hand grabs the lower jaw and with the other grabs the top of the head of the creature. He pulls the mouth open as two beams of energy impact the back of the creatures throat. With a final snap the ape breaks the lower jaw and the huge creature falls limp to the ground.

(Thanks! I had hoped if nothing else the ape would be strong enough to break the grapple. good job guys. The haste was super nice. Shame Mucor couldn't have dont more actual damage that fight lol)

"Nice job Zinmear.. " mucor would say with a snort in between breaths as he places his shield on his back and leans heavily on his staff. "Is everyone alright?" The minotaur would shout to his companions after catching his breath. Then looking to the large ape, the minotaur would grin. "I can keep you that way for an hour if ya want.. maybe you can use yer strength to get us some mythril to take home.. I know someone back home that would really appreciate it" the minotaur would say as he turns his head and locks eyes with Gaelin.

Mucor would then search the bodies and nearby area for anything of importance of value.

(Does Zinmaer understand Mucor's direction of mining Mithryl? If so, he would gladly go punch a vein to try and get some!

Jinara would be intrigued by the statue and begin trying to learn everything he can about it. (Do you want Investigation or History?)

(@The Team: That was a great series of encounters! A few bad rolls on my part, but super fun overall!!!)

Aryn will search the area and talk to her brother about harvesting parts of the creature.  "Hey Gaelin, can you help me with something?  That creature was immune to my arrow's lightning, and it obviously had some lightning powers of its own.  Will you help me get some scales, teeth or organs?  Maybe they're worth something or maybe the blacksmith can make a weapon or armor from it."

Gaelin nods to Mucor and watches as his sister goes to work rifling through pockets and searching every nook and cranny. He would gather the group for a moment and cast Mass Cure Wounds from his staff healing everyone:  37. When Aryn asks him for help he smiles and says, "Sure... but we probably need to be careful though.  Typically things like this are still quite dangerous after they're dead."
