Aryn most certainly would not threaten these kids with violence. Instead she reaches into her bag and pulls out some of the best food she has and attempts to bribe them saying, "We won't leave without them We just need all of you outside so you don't get hurt. I promise we'll go downstairs and get anyone else that needs to be rescued."
Mucor would look to the children. "Fluffy and Snuggles will make sure nothing happens to you" He would say in a calm and gentle voice, motioning to the two hulking bears wielding mithril elementally charged halberds and wearing plate armor. The minotaur would turn and give the bears a quick nod and wink at being given their new temporary nicknames. Then After a quick look to Aryn, he would speak to the children once more. "She is right. We will not leave without freeing the rest of the prisoners.. but for now you all need to get to safety."
Persuasion! 23 With advantage from being super scary? 11
(@Jinara- You only have time for the lab. 10 minutes to be thorough will give advantage but Mucor is too scary and the kids listened despite Aryn's terrible kid skills)
Aryn pulls out a loaf of hard tack bread that is soaked in blood. The girls are unamused as a hulking minotaur enters the room flanked by two werebears and tells them to leave. The girls scream and rush out of the classroom with the others. It takes roughly 2 more minutes to corral all the kids together and calmed down outside but they are relatively safe. The werebears nod as you leave them and reenter the orphanage. You make your way in and relay to Jinara that you are preparing to clear the remainder of the orphanage.
You gather up and check the rooms on the northwest portion of the structure finding slightly nicer living quarters that you assume belong to the cultists. The final door on the far west hallway is much larger and thicker than the others have been. You test it and find that it is locked.
As he walks down the hallway seeing the party approach the large door, he says telepathically "Back down the hall way a moment." Jinara points towards the classrooms where the children were and motions for the group to follow. (If followed) "I found this in the laboratory. This allows the person to read surface thoughts within a certain radius. Whoever is down there might have taken it and might know we are here."
"I am sure they know we are here already... we weren't exactly subtle.. remember the fireball explosion that took most of my fur?" He would say motioning to himself. "We may have quit initiating the fights... but the battles themselves were quite loud"
Gaelin looks back at Jinara as he shows them the potion and says, "Unless they're deaf they know we're here. No one in the basement could've missed that fireball if they even missed the whistle. Still, it's good to know they may have a leg up on us. Good work Jinara. We should be on our guard the whole way and when we're done let's tear this place apart."
Aryn successfully picks the lock while Gaelin, Mucor and Jinara leave for a moment before returning. The heavy door creaks open and you are immediately hit with the smell of blood and death. You slowly make your way in and listen... silence. You open the door at the bottom of the stairs into a room filled with large cages full of children and teenagers. Those that are able stand to their feet shake timidly expecting pain. All of their clothes are torn and have fresh blood stains. Their faces, arms and legs seem covered in bruises and cuts to the point where you aren't sure if their wounds are still open or just that badly bruised. A single heavy door sits in the northeast corner of the room. You press your ear against it and can hear shuffling and mumbling of some sort.
"We need to get them out of here." Aryn says telepathically to the group as she mimics the universal keep quiet sign to all the kids. She rummages through her pack and pulls out four flasks filled with red liquid (basic potion of healing) and hands them to Gaelin and Mucor. "If any of them need it give it to them." She'll go over to the cages and attempt to open them quietly. If they are locked she will attempt to pick the locks and whisper to the kids, "Be quiet, we're going to get you out of here."
Zinmaer would carefully walk up to the door that the noise was coming from and try to see if he could hear what was being said. He would have an attack action prepared and wait until the children have been moved out before making his next move. (I'm thinking he would be on the south most square next to the northeast door).
Jinara will step back to get out of Aryn's way and say telepathically "Zin, I'll help you." (I want to give him advantage on the perception roll) Jinara will pull his Silver Dragon Dagger from its sheath and ready an attack. (Place me in Zin's current location)
Mucor would shrug as the group continues to try to be quiet as he once again casts pass without trace and shrouds the group in spores that muffle their sounds and make them harder to see in the dim basement. As the others try to listen to the door, The minotaur would move to the prisoners. He would cast cure wounds or healing word on any of the captured individuals that look too weak to move before whispering to the prisoners and then the group. "Yes, we are going to get out you... if we cannot pick these locks... I may have to try to break open the cages instead.."
OOC oh yeah stealth 12
wow... and that was with advantage because of my boots... double 1...
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gaelin will assist Mucor and help with ushering out the children.(if we pick the locks) "I'll take them and return as soon as I can." and will cast Bless on Zinamer, Jinara and Aryn.
Aryn swiftly picks the locks while Gaelin and Mucor stand on the wrong side of the cages trying to figure out how to open them. Gaelin leads the kids out and makes his way towards the entrance. A moment after the top stairway door closes behind Gaelin the northeast door opens and as two cultists enter they are immediately attacked by Zinmaer and Jinara. (Held attack actions)

I'll try to be useful and pick the lock.

(We have rolled so many "1"s since being in this orphanage! This place is pure evil! haha)
(OOC: I imagine Gaelin and Mucor beating on the cages and rattling them in anger as they try to open them. "WHY WON'T THESE CAGES OPEN DAMN IT!" )
(Man I am laughing so hard over here! Thanks for that lol)
