(This was awesome. Thank you for inviting me Xtra! I'd love to stay if everyone is okay with it. I'll do my best to post daily, short of a weekend here or there. If not, no worries. This was an amazing opener to D&D.)
Help Calypso, he’s banged up. I’ll be fine. Yes you should definitely use your spell in a moment. I can speak Orc with my helm. “ Aryn says covering up the cuts on her shoulder and leg. Then uses her helm to cast comprehend languages and talks to the Orc in orcish.
“My brother is going to cast a spell. He’ll know if you resist. It won’t hurt so just let it happen or else I’ll hurt you.” Then she’ll look to Gaelin and nod.
(Welcome to the fam Torq. Don’t get us killed. ;) xtra already does fine by himself. )
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Can i investigate the the orc's body to see if he also has a tattoo? If he does I cast detect magic on it. I'm trying to test a theory I have about this.)
@ Gaelin- You do find a familiar tattoo on the orc's right shoulder. As you finish casting your allies weapons, armor and items glow with a familiar magical aura. As you peer closer at the tattoo you see a slight magical enchantment aura around the tattoo. You look at the other corpses of orcs but theirs doesn't seem to glow.
Gaelin- make an arcana check.
Aryn- The orc looks at you in disgust and partial confusion at the last question before he answers in broken common, "I tell you nothin."

( Oooooo. I'm conflicted because I don't know if I should continue now or teleport us back and try it the next day. We still have that other group... ahhhh. )
You watch as the tattoo glows brightly and the skin around it seems to bubble. The orc cries out in pain as Gaelin's spell visibly sucks out what appears to be a dark cloud of energy that pulses once before vanishing. The orc's eyes roll back in his head and his body goes limp. The spot where the tattoo once was is bright greenish brown like a newly formed scar, but smooth with no evidence of the tattoo's symbol.
The orc isn't dead, just unconscious. The prodding of your staff jerks him back awake and you see his eyes have changed color to a more vibrant green instead of black. His demeanor has also changed from angry and snarling to calm and timid despite his bulky form. "I.. I apologize. I feel as though I've been in a bad dream...." The orc says softly before trailing off and collapsing again into a deep slumber. Mucor, you can tell he's exhausted deeply and needs to rest or else he might die.
Jinara, you think the type of magic is evocation and rack your brain thinking back through your studies to no avail. Nothing you read mentioned use of such magic. ( Arcana check was to see if you could determine the type of spell to lower the DC of the history check since it was a natural 1 you guessed the wrong type of magic.)

Torq flies over to the captured commander and uses his hammer to cauterize the orc's arm.
"Does anyone speak orc?" Torq asks telepathically.

Mucor would land near his companions. "Well.. do any of you require healing?" He would say with a snort as he pats his griffon upon the head.
"I think we all could use a bit of healing. I can also assist you with that. Should I cast the truth spell for the interrogation?" Gaelin says,
Will assist Mucor in healing. I have 3- 1st, 1- 2nd (saving one for zone of truth) and 10 charges on the staff.
(Also, I'm fine with adding in Torq. That hammer is sweet.)
(I am good with him joining as well.)
"I am fine" Jinara says.

Gaelin will use the staff to cast mass cure wounds healing: 26
valeera, Aryn, Torq, Gaelin, Night Dream and Stone Wing
After Aryn gives him the nod he’ll cast zone of truth.
15 The orc tries to resist but fails as the spell takes full effect. (Ask your questions.)
(yup. you can stay lol)

Arcana: 5
You have no idea why the ones off the corpses aren't glowing but his is.
(Figured. Screw it. I'm gonna take the shot in the dark.)
I cast Dispel Magic at 5th level on the tattoo.
If needed: 15

(@Xtra: Can Jinara make a history check to see if he has ever read anything about this type of magic at Davara's temple?)
(Make an Arcana check then a History check.)
Mucor would move to the orc and check to see if it was dead... poking the body with the back of his staff.
Medicine! 29
(Dr. Mucor... poking people with sticks since 2018)
