Torq will fly towards the northern black square and spread his arms wide attempting to bull rush and grapple anything hiding within it out into the open.
Torq flies past the group and dives arms outstretched into the darkness. He emerges on the opposite side empty handed and has to stop himself from impacting the wall. Valeera sees this and sweeps her tail through the southern cube of darkness causing pebbles from the path to pelt the entrance but no sound or feeling of impact.
Gaelin- (from the shadowblade's turn) You see the shadowblade step into the magical cube of darkness and vanish in a cloud of shadow. The shadowblade reappears 40 ft down the corridor in a pocket of shade between the open window and moves further down the hallway.

Mucor summons more spores until the entire entrance is swarming. Beyond the cloud of spores, the shadowblade pauses for a moment as he feels Gaelin's spell then flexes his neck and shrugs off the effect. Valeera looks to the group and says, I'll stay out here and guard the entrance in case anything else shows up. I'd do too much damage with my size in those hallways.
Aryn then Jinara!
(Will post map later today hopefully or tomorrow morning at the latest. The drow is near the end of a hallway that splits to the left and right about 50 feet away from the entrance.)
Jinara will say to Varian "we need to secure him quickly. Where to?"
If Aryn does not stop or kill
Jinara will tap his boots and fly 30 ft towards the shadowblade. While flying, he will pull out his Wand of Magic Missiles. As a bonus action he will cast Misty Step and appear 10 ft in front of him. "We can do that as well. " he says before unloading 6 charges from the wand right into his chest
Aryn focuses on the drow and the hallways seems to grow dark while the drow seems to illuminate with a red aura. She releases two arrows in quick succession. The first sinks into the drow's shoulder causing him to twist slightly back from the impact. The second arrow narrowly misses following in the same path but smacks against the wall behind the drow's turned shoulder. Jinara hovers and rapidly moves into the hallway disappearing in a cloud of vapor then reappears near the drow before leveing his wand and unleashing a torrent of magical darts that pummel the drow. The shadowblade's body shutters from the barrage and blood trickles from his mouth as he looks up to Jinara and replies in elvish, "Well at least I'll take one of you with me." in elvish before vanishing in a poof of shadow. The grinning drow emerges from the southern cube of darkness and stabs Gaelin. Simultaneously the southern cube swirls and is seemingly pulled into his blade as a second cube of darkness appears just north of Gaelin. The shadowblade smiles wide as Gaelin falls to the ground and jams his sword in Gaelin's chest then cackles in a low menacing voice.
Damage: Gaelin- (1st was a crit) 1065 Necrotic 28 Poison (2nd) 715 Necrotic 8 Poison (Gaelin, since you went down from the first attack the second automatically crits and you fail two death saving throws.)
(No. You've never seen this kind of darkness. Though similar to the spell darkness that you've encountered the cube of shadow seems to be resistant to daylight. You can make a DC 15 arcana check for more info.)
(more info)
You aren't quite certain, but you assume that this type of darkness is of a higher level and a Sunbeam or Wall of Fire would cause the magical cube to dissipate. You would also know that Kelgos should have more knowledge on the background of this ability.
(Ooc question Xtra. A drow, PC race that is, in sunlight has disadvantage on attack rolls and perception checks. Does that play a factor for that first roll on Gaelin since Mucor has Daylight up during that attack?)
(Yes, but that's also why he's been phasing through the cubes of shadow. He gets advantage on the first attack when he does it so it becomes a single roll. Unfortunately for Gaelin, this time it was a nat 20. All of the second rolls have been at disadvantage but he has a +9 to hit so he only has to roll a 10 to hit Gaelin.)
(OOC: Assuming he doesn't die *permanently* before Mucor's turn, Mucor will heal him. If you die die.... I can bring you back but you might end up a minotaur lol. Not sure if I have any resurrection spells that will bring ya back to your normal self :P)
Torq flies through the air towards the shadowblade standing over Gaelin's limp body. As he flies through the cubes of darkness the shadows seem to cling to his wings as they push through draping tendrils of shadow across the ground. Time seems to slow as Torq arrives bringing down his hammer on the drow's brow. The blow causes the drow to drop to stagger as Torq follows through with his axe that slices off the drow's arm in the middle of his bicep. The severed limb falls to the ground still clutching the dark blade hitting with a metallic clang. Torq pivots and slams his hammer one final time against the jaw of the drow shattering the bones and sending teeth and blood flying. The drow falls back and lands with a thud on the ground as blood pools from his wounds. The two cubes of darkness shimmer and evaporate into the air as Mucor rushes over to Gaelin's side and summons a small green orb of healing energy. As he presses his hand and orb down on Gaelin's chest you see the orb flash and spread over Gaelin's body. The blood seems to stop flowing and Gaelin coughs twice as his eyes slowly flutter open.
(End of combat. Luckily Mucor rolled a higher initiative than Gaelin, otherwise I would have him roll a death save first.)
Varian, still clutching the slug nods and says, "Good work all of you. Tend to Gaelin. When he is able let us attend to the temple and ensure its safety. Then we can depart back to the tower where Wymeron will be unable to escape through magic."

Gaelin & Mucor!
(Does Gaelin still have Truesight? If so, would he be able to see through the darkness?)
(Yes, i forgot about that.)Gaelin- (from the shadowblade's turn) You see the shadowblade step into the magical cube of darkness and vanish in a cloud of shadow. The shadowblade reappears 40 ft down the corridor in a pocket of shade between the open window and moves further down the hallway.
Mucor would let out a small huff though his nose and cast daylight on the last area of darkness as he continues to cover the area in spores.
Gaelin will say telepathically, "He's inside down the hall." then he'll try to cast Hold Person on him.
DC18 Wis or be paralyzed.

(I'm posting 2 scenarios based on Aryn acton)
If Aryn stops and/or kills the shadowblade
Jinara will say to Varian "we need to secure him quickly. Where to?"
If Aryn does not stop or kill

Damage 26
Aryn will move forward to the entrance and cast Hunter's mark on the shadowblade then release two arrows at the bastard.
Attack: (1) 16 (2) 23
Damage: (1) 12 3 3 (2) 8 7 2
(Just noticed the map, I'll move NE of the northern black square.)

(Oh no! Gaelin!!!)
(Noooooooo)
"Noooo!" Torq kawws loudly and takes off towards the shadowblade in a fit of rage. He'll recklessly attack the sob with his axe and hammer.
