Necromancer's Delusion-Homebrew

Jinara walks through the castle and sees Iris and a warm smile covers his face. "Wow! I figured planar travel would have some effects, but I did not anticipate time variation. Let's look in the library and see if we have any text on planar travel that could be useful about the multiverse. Meet me in the tower shortly and we will begin. See everyone at dinner."

(After making his way through the keep grounds seeing the progress, they make it to the tower)

"This has been an arduous few days for us, longer for you! I am personally ready to rest for a day or so. I will have to return to the East in a few days to attend a ceremony that will close a chapter. When I return, I will need your expertise to cast some protections on an object of great importance. In the meantime, will you cast Teleportation Circle in my ring so I can return to Daybreak when I am finished?" He says to Iris.

(The protections I want her to cast is Sequester on the Wymeron diamond after the ceremony is complete. )

When Jinara walks off with Iris without answering her questions Aryn shrugs and says, "He's probably not ready to talk about it yet."   She turns to Mucor and pats him on the head.  "Yes, I'm sure Button is very eager to talk to you.  He'll probably love BJ as much as you do.  Go have fun.  I'll see you later."  she turns to leave then stops and looks at Cedany and Kelgos.  "Come on you too.  Time for a spa day." she says with a smile.

She'll lead the two newcomers to their new and improved spa and begin to take off her armor.  "Now the first thing you two need to learn is that despite all the fighting, training, diplomacy and coinage the best part of being and adventurer is the few hours or days that you get to rest.  It's a very important part of keeping your mind and your body fresh.  Now Kelgos, go to the other room and disrobe and we'll meet you in the bathing pool.  After that we're going to get massages.  They aren't trying to kill you so don't hurt them."  she shoos Kelgos off with her hand nonchalantly and waits for him to leave before she continues to disrobe in front of Cedany. She'll bundle herself in a loose robe and wait to see if Cedany has any questions or resists before moving to the bathing pool.  

(Oh yeah, oops)

Torq will tilt his head to one side when they say how long they've been away but return to the warmth and love of their embrace.  He'd ask one of the magic users when they met at dinner but until then he would enjoy this moment.  After about 5-6 minutes he'd push them back playfully with his wings and say,  "Let's see what you've learned." Then he'll spar with them and see if they've improved at all.

Investigation 9 1

Jinara- You peruse the library and find Iris standing beside a couple new books you hadn't seen before. Iris smiles and says, "Well I figured if you were going to another plane I might as well try to find any tomes that referenced other planes.  They were quite expensive, 250 gold each, but hopefully well worth it."  You begin to skim through one of the books entitled "The land of the Fey." and find a passage on the experiences of one wizard who traveled to the Feywild.  In his recantation his journey in the Feywild only lasted 5 days but when he had returned to the material plane 5 months had passed.  Intrigued by this discovery he began testing and departed on 11 similar excursions to the Feywild to test is the time differential was consistent or irregular.  Though only 10 of the excursions are documented each excursion had a different relative time jump.  On three such occasions he found that time passed faster in the Feywild than in the material plane.  The most astounding was excursion # 6 where he stayed in the Feywild for 5 days, keeping the time in the Feywild the same across all excursions, and when he returned to the material plane he discovered only a matter of seconds had elapsed since he departed.  The last of his writings talks of the preparations for his 11th excursion and plans for his 12th and final excursion.   

Satisfied for the moment on the Feywild you skim over another tome called "The world of shadow." Within you find multiple accounts from 5 different wizards.  Each mention a time variance that is irregular in their accounts.  What you find more interesting is the account of one wizard who mentions a dark being who appeared as a man in black full plate armor.  His eyes glowed and he tried to persuade the wizard to join his cause.  After refusing numerous times the being transformed into a towering dark dragon wreathed in shadow.  Were it not for the wizard's skill and quick thinking, he would've succumb to the dark beast's wrath.  No further accounts are mentioned from this wizard in the tome.

As you read you watch from the corner of your eye as Iris begins casting the requested spell into your ring.  The process takes a little over a minute and you occasionally glance over to see the masterful movements of her hands in drawing the glyphs that illuminate as each is finished.  The spectacle is quite beautiful for any spellcaster to watch simply for the care and attention to detail that Iris takes.  With a bright flash of arcane energy the ring absorbs the spell and the gemstone fashioned on it glows and appears to swirl from within.

Torq will rage and let the adrenaline of fun run through his veins.  He was tired of the questioning and chatter from earlier, it was time to fight.

"Well then... I guess I'll just keep checking in with her every now and then to make sure all is well."  Gaelin says thinking bout the ice on the pool before they got in. "Did you notice the ice on the pool?  I think we've been gone longer than it feels like.  Kinda like what happened to you.  I wonder if the others know... I'll check with them at dinner.  For now let's enjoy this nice warm pool." he says walking over to her and he'll kiss her neck.

• You begin with Alexandria who puts up a good fight but you seem to always have the upper hand.  Her attacks are more telegraphed and you easily maneuver out of the way or parry them.  Juliana joins the fray and begins quite clumsily allowing herself to be put into a headlock.  She rallies though and grabs your arms bending forward and tosses you over her body.  She spins and uses this moment to her advantage putting you in a similar headlock until you relent.  Overall they have come a long way and together pose a worthy threat.

Aryn- You watch Kelgos' face change from an confused stare to a defeated grin.  "I...I've never... umm..." he replies with a small shake of his head.  At the mention of don't kill the masseuses you see a faint smile crack on his face.  With a small sigh and shrug he walks out and follows your orders.  Cedany looks somewhat aghast at the brazen confidence you display as you disrobe and she, with mouth partially agape, shakes her head and closes her mouth and turns away.  You hear a deep exhale and a ruffling of clothes as she sets down her bag of belongings and begins to remove her clothing slowly.  She occasionally glances over her shoulder as if to convince herself of her reality and increases her pace.  Taking off her robe you see a chainmail shirt that is worn but still functional.  Once finished removing her clothing and armor you see a smooth pale skinned half-elf form.  She is quite beautiful and more muscular than her temple robes would have given indication to.  She puts on a simple robe and bows her head slightly as if to say let's move on with this and follows you to the pool.  By the time you arrive Kelgos is already in the pool bathing appearing like a dark shadow within the warm water.  He tends to his wounds caused by Aryn and inspects them as he cleans the dark congealed blood away.  You can see as you approach multiple scars all across his body. Some you recognize as made from weapons or beasts while others have strange shapes from sources unknown to you.  Cedany pauses at the sight of Kelgos, sighs again and moves forward.  You all enter the pool and begin bathing as an awkward silence fills the room.

Gaelin- Valeera ponders for a moment then replies, "It could be.  I did notice the chill in the air here when we arrived.  That would only happen if we were gone more than a week." she smiles at your approach and welcomes the affection preferring to enjoy the moment.

OOC: Is button surprised by my new attachment?

Jinara, enthralled in the new books says to iris "oh, we came across some drow, dark elves, in the feywild. Know anything about them? We befriended one and he was carrying this sword. Can you identify it? Also I came across this ring. Can you identify this as well?"

Mucor- You arrive in the grove and find Herbert tending to the plants as usual.  He bows and informs you all is well with the grove.  Looking around you see the grove has come together as a thing of beauty.  You leave Herbert to his duties and find Button in his patch of mushrooms.  His blue speckles begin to glow as he watches your approach.  "That's okay Mucor.  I know you are all very busy saving Eraas." he says in minotaur.  As BJ makes his way down your arm Button and his offspring glow and pulse randomly.  As soon as BJ reaches your palm you notice he too is pulsing.  The opposing pulses slowly adjust until the pulse becomes uniformly rhythmic between all the mushrooms including BJ.  You feel a cool sensation run through you hand and up your arm.  Then you hear Button's voice in your mind. "Hello Button Jr."  Make an Intelligence saving throw!

Jinara- Iris carefully lays out each of the items and looks over them.  "Dark elves?  Yes, the feywilds are said to be full of a variety of elves.  Some dwarves believe the drow on our plane are invaders from the darker portions of the feywild.  Let me see if I can discover anything further about these items." she says and begins to ritualistically cast Identify on each item.  Again, her scholarly training and personality show through her casting as her lips and fingers perfectly intertwine in a masterful display of skill.  Upon the expiration of each casting she explains the nature of each item.  "This ring is quite dark and powerful.  Whoever bears it must face more than the burden of casting such magics.   The blade is also dark but it seems all of us are unable to wield it."

History check to know if I recall any lore relating to dark elves as invaders as mentioned 10 guidance 1

Jinara- Iris' comments remind you of tales you'd overheard but nothing specific comes to mind.

"I vaguely remember those tales.  Well hopefully any dwarves that visit Daybreak will look past our new companion. He will aid us when we approach the queen of darkness." Jinara says.

(regarding the ring) "Interesting. Could have benefit in the right hands."

(regarding the blade) "Do you think there is a way to engineer a fit for other users?"

Mucor- You feel your hands twitch and a cold shudder runs through your body but you shake off whatever ailment seemed to beset you.  Button casually smiles and looks at you then back to Button Jr.  You still hear his voice in your head rather than through your ears. "This is an interesting development.  I think we are now bonded together somehow.  Maybe we can talk to each other wherever you are."  Button says.   Make a DC20 nature check.  

 Jinara- Iris looks over the the items again and replies, "Dwarves and elves will always have their squabbles, but I'm sure any friend of the Lightbringers will be welcomed.  I have tried to think of a manner to extract more information or come up with an idea to share this weapon's traits but the magic or method used to create such a thing is entirely foreign to me... the ring should be destroyed.  It is quite dangerous to any who wish to gain its power."  

Aryn will wash off all the blood and grime from her body.  While she does so she'll smile at Cedany's shyness and Kelgos' (dgaf) attitude.  "See, isn't this nice? Just wait until we get to the massages.  I know this may be a bit strange at first but eventually you come to like it... or not i guess.  The point is that there is a life outside of whatever lense you are currently looking through.  Whatever you've done in the past is the past and can be washed away just like this." she says holding up her arm and scrubbing at a scab to reveal a fresh pink scar from the werewolf.  "That doesn't mean we don't have reminders of the past, it just means that we can survive them and push forward to finish what we've started or switch to something new. You both have been given a chance to do something incredible and there are god and bad things that come along with that.  We could all end up like Celaser if we don't work together but if we do, we get this." she says motion all around her to the pool and castle ceiling.  Once they're done bathing she'll hop out and grab a towel or robe and say, "Come on. Time for the best part." and lead them to the massage rooms.

When they're done getting massages she'll ask how each of them liked it while she guides them to the dining hall and calls Maximus over to her.  "This is where we'll meet in an hour or so.  Maximus will show you to your quarters.  Then I'll see you both back here soon."     Aryn will leave them and make her way to find Mucor in the grove and check in on him and Button. She'll pat Mucor on the shoulder and get down on her knees and lean in to look at Button. "Hey buddy. It's been a while.  You seem a bit bigger.  I hope you've been helping Herbert take care of the grove." 

Mucor nature check! 26 plus 1 if he is allowed to ask for guidance to help figure out what had just happened.
