“Looks like they were waiting on you after all.” Gaelin says jokingly and chuckles to himself then stops when he sees Torq staring off into nothing. He looks up trying to follow Torqs eyes and see if he can make out anything.
Jinara- Iris Investigation: 24 Epos nods respectfully and rephrases his question. "Thank you for your compliance. What would you like to research first? Texts related to or mentioning Neltharion, historical accounts of the cataclysm, Artifacts unearthed that could've come from the cataclysm, scholar's notes and findings on any of the previously mentioned topics. Or any other topic you can think of. I will inform you whether we have any items relating to it."
Gaelin- Torq appears to just be staring into the sky. Though you would notice his expression signifying he sees something, what that something is you have no idea.
Mucor would close his eyes and concentrate. Thinking hard on the green flame he had encountered days earlier. As he does he can feel smoke begin to rise off this clothing as his hair moves back and forth. The smoke begins to darken and circle around the elf as a green light begins to flicker from inside the smoky vortex. Suddenly, a streak of green flame comes to life and swirls around the elf. Its body a long rolling and churning flame with smokey eyes and streams of smoke coming from its nostrils. "Hello....." Mucor says somewhat nervously. "My name is Mucor."
Mucor- The air around you becomes flooded by smoke and it bursts into flame encircling him with a green glow. A huge snake of living green flames curls around your body. The flames die down and the snake seems to disappear in a second cloud of smoke until all that remains is a tiny snake of living flame curled around your hand. It slithers up into your palm curling up into a mound of shrinking circles and lifts its head to look at you. As you speak the flames flicker with delight at your voice. Inara nods approvingly and moves closer to examine your wildfire spirit. The other druids turn to look at the strange sight of a green flame. "Good." Inara says, "Now we need to strengthen the bond." and pulling out a small dagger she cuts a long laceration across her arm. Blood drips quickly from the wound and she holds out her wounded arm towards you. "Heal me." she says with an encouraging smile. Make another Nature check!
Tears stream from Torq's eyes and he pays no attention to Gaelin's comment. He blinks through the tears and when the vision fades he snaps back to reality. Turning to Gaelin, "Sorry, thought I saw something." His heart would skip a beat when he looked beyond Gaelin to the twins and he'd finally realize he'd been holding his breath and exhale. "Seems about time to move on from the past, don't you think?" he asks rhetorically walking towards the twins. "There's still much to do, and things that need killing."
Though the trip to his village didn't go as he planned, Torq was rejuvenated and more focused than ever. The past was the past and nothing could heal his pain. He could learn to live with it though and for the first time felt true content with the way things were. His body seemed lighter, like a burden was lifted and he liked that feeling. A few more paces in he'd take off into the sky and fly towards the twins wrapping them up tightly in his wings and smother them with head nuzzles and playful pecks.
"I would like Iris to research to Neltharion specifically. Anything that accounts his time prior to the cataclysm and to any mention of the extraplanar activity or involvement at any point. I would like Aryn to focus on artifacts and implements used for any ritual, arcane, or divine subjugation of dragons, good or evil. I would like to focus my research on the factions of the cataclysm. Specifically 1) the allies of Neltharion and their genealogies both dragon-kin and non-dragon-kin as close to today as you have as well as last known locations, and 2) the allies of the metallic dragons, their genealogies and last known locations." Jinara says preparing for a long evening. He pushes up his cloak sleeves and sits down awaiting tomes.
"What are you doing?..." Mucor asks as he holds out his hand. he places the palm of his hand against her blood soaked arm. He would close his eyes for a moment as he cast cure wounds

I assume I dont get any advantage lol and wpuldnt think to guidance myself lol
Mucor- You react reflexively losing your focus on your wildfire spirit. You reach out with your other hand and heal Inara. The snake spirit watches curiously as you release your spell. The wound closes but Inara doesn't seem as happy with the result. "Try to focus your energy through your wildfire spirit." and reopens the wound with the dagger. Make another Nature check! (one success one failure so far)
Jinara- You are brought a large leather bound book with yellowed pages entitled, "Edge of Oblivion" in draconic. You spend 5 hours reading the excerpts of a long dead scholar who details the differences between Metallic and Chromatic dragons as well as a few well known events during the build up to the final battle. All of the information you find you already know but you are encouraged to find that there is continuity in information despite separate authors.
Aryn- You are brought two large chunks of what you assume are pieces of a much larger onyx crystal as well as a stone tablet. The language of the tablet is foreign to you but using your helm you are quickly able to comprehend it. The tablet explains that this crystal was used as one of four pillars to tether Neltharion to a different plane. The original dimensions of the triangular obelisk shaped crystal were10 feet tall and 2 feet wide. It adds that followers of Neltharion were able to dispel the magic imbued in the crystal causing it to shatter. The last inscription of the tablet says, "These fragments were unearthed on the volcanic island of Monsigneus".
Iris- Iris is brought a large flat dull reddish black stone as well as a stone tablet. The flat, slightly curved, stone appears more like a shield being only an inch or two thick. The tablet, inscribed in draconic, reads: "This is one of the scales of Neltharion recovered on the island of Volcan, presumed to be lost during one of the many battles during the cataclysm. Those who discovered the scale testify to it dripping a dark semi translucent substance appearing similar to shadows. The first two excavators died exhuming the scale from the earth. Their flesh seemed to melt away in seconds leaving behind only pools of dark liquid. Final excavation was performed a year later after numerous observations concluded the scale no longer displayed any magical effects. Despite numerous attempts and studies the previously described effect was not replicated."
Torq- The twins turn excitedly around and return the embrace. "Did you miss us?" Alexandira asks. "Of course he did. Can't you tell." Juliana replies with a big smile.

Mucor would frown as looks at the reopened wound. "come on fire spirit... help me out" Mucor mutters under his breath as he casts guidance on himself. He would then close his eyes and cast cure wounds once more.
"Dang. There has to be more..." Jinara says under his breath, a bit frustrated even though recounts are confirmed, as Aryn asks for more information. He ponders for a moment then asks Epos "Are we able to converge for a moment and discuss our findings? I feel we will need a bit more research but it would be nice to know where we stand currently and determine what is best for our next request."
He'll duck his head in and say to the girls, "Yes. More than you could imagine. We still have work to do. I think we are going to reconnect with the others soon. Until then I'm yours, just let me check." Torq wraps both twins up and turns back to Gaelin, "Thank you again. Are you able to contact Jinara, Aryn and Mucor to see if we're needed now or later?"

Mucor- You reach out with both hands closing your eyes and trying to focus on the spell. You release it and peek one eye open. You see your wildfire snake in now curled around both your hands and Inara's arm. It also seems to have grown in size slightly from a 1-2ft snake to an over 3ft snake. The greens flames flicker and Inara's wound appears to be completely healed as if no wound existed. Your Wildfire spirit unnaturally curls through the air and back around your arm and hand. As it moves you blink rapidly as you feel its movement but its as if they were your own. You feel the radiant heat of its body and the tingling sensation of each flame as it rolls along the length of the body. "Very good. Use that feeling each time you cast a spell. You are welcome to train here as long as you like." Inara says placing her hand on your shoulder and gives you a couple pats of encouragement then turns to leave. "He's all yours." she says to the other druids and they still appear to be a bit shocked at the coloration of your spirit but nod and welcome you.
"Welcome brother. I am Qudan. The call of the flame is one not to be taken lightly. There is great power in the fire, power that can destroy or create. It is my charge to help you learn to control this power. Now, repeat my actions as I do them while maintaining the bond with your spirit." The instructor druid says pointing out an open space for you to practice. You stand at the ready and let your wildfire spirit curl up on the ground. It raises its head and part of it's body so that it stands about 2 feet tall and sways slowly back and forth awaiting your command. Qudan begins casting and you don't recognize the spell but watch as three rays of fire burst from Qudan's hands and scorch the ground. You look puzzled for a moment as the others all follow suit and try to replicate the spell. Make a Nature Check!.
Aryn- (You and Iris took: 1 hours to study and examine your items.)
Jinara- "You are free to pass your notes amongst one another and discuss your findings as long as you return to your seats." Epos replies. Iris hurriedly takes her notes to Jinara and sits back at her desk. "An actual scale from Neltharion himself. From what the account says it proves that he was already visiting the shadowfel plane. Do you have any records of Neltharion's travels before the cataclsym?" Iris asks politely.
(Xtra: Did I find any names of any of the other metallic dragons from the cataclysm? any relatives? nothing?)
"Nothing more than we already know. The volcano and surrounding islands, Phoax, the Shadowfell. The fact that residual essence of the Shadowfell lingered so long is definitely intriguing. Do we think it is some type of a soul link? Teleportation magic? Portal? Do we know of a portal to the Shadowfell like the one to the Feywild?" Jinara says with inquisition while he waves Aryn over to discuss.
"I'll check in with each of them. You have at least an hour I'm going to visit Valeera. I'll find you when I have heard back from all of them." Gaelin responds and heads up towards the blacksmith to check on their progress.
Gaelin will cast sending targeting Aryn, Jinara and Mucor. (I think it's afternoon or evening still right? @Xtra)
Aryn- "Hey sis, do you need us immediately or can it wait until tomorrow morning?"
Jinara- "Hope the investigation is going well. How quickly do you need Torq, Mucor and I to come to Sonas. Is there anything we should bring?"
Mucor- "Just checking in with everyone. Do you need anything? How soon do you think you'll be back? No rush."

Mucor nature check!14
Mucor would struggle to follow the new movements and answer Gaelin in his mind. "Uh.. well.. I don't know. I have a fire snake. it is green.... learning to control it."
Gaelin tries to process the bombardment of replies and cases message to Torq saying, "We're good for the night. We'll depart int he morning. meet in the dining hall."
Mucor- Gaelin's voice pops into your head distracting you from your casting but you look in amazement as three rays of flame spread out from your fingertips and impact the ground. You stare at your hands and look past them to see your wildfire spirit slowly swaying back and forth. It takes you a second or two but you notice your body mimicking its sway and you shake your head to stop. Qudan calls out more orders involving various positions, similar to yoga, that you mimic and have your wildfire spirit mimic over the course of a few hours. You watch as some struggle while others proceed with relative ease. Sweat beads on your brow from the exertion and Qudan returns to a standing position before announcing, "Our final task for the day is to help discover how your personality mixes with your wildfire spirit. Sit and close your eyes. Breathe slowly and clear your minds. When your mind is free of thought call your spirit to you and release its energy around your body. You will experience one of three outcomes." Qudan sits and you watch him close his eyes. As his wildfire spirit approaches and enters his body a gust of warm air bursts around him, and remains. You look around and in a 30ft radius the air seems to flicker with random flames that send warm healing energy through your bodies. "This is the aura of life granted to you through your wildfire spirit. It protects others around you from decay and heals over time." A moment later he raises a single finger and the aura fades as he becomes wreathed in flames but the flames do not seem to harm him. "This fire shield protects yourself from cold or fire depending on the need at hand." Another moment passes and the flames disappear. "If your wildfire spirit is not yet fully bonded to you, you will not be able to accomplish either." Make a Wisdom saving throw.
Aryn & Jinara- (Nothing in particular with your investigation check. You found a broad but detailed tome covering dragons and the events of the cataclysm in general, not necessarily specific dragons outside of Neltharion and Bahumat. Just to give you a bit more background: It doesn't take 3 hours for Aryn and Iris to physically study the actual artifacts. Really about an hour. It takes that 3 hours because the archivists must first find and safely gather the "artifacts" within the archives before they slowly and carefully bring them to you one at a time. In addition, before you are allowed to leave your tables to discuss the archivists take back the relics to reduce the risk of potential harm coming to them. You would assume that such precaution is taken either due to strict traditionalism or an accident/ disaster that forced such measures to be implemented.)
Iris looks over her notes comparing previous studies and remarks, "I'm not aware of any portals mentioned in my studies but I believe Wymeron knew where one was. Perhaps he could be convinced to disclose of the location."
Gaelin- You find Valeera and the blacksmiths working diligently as well as a few small gemstones set on an anvil off to the side of the large hunk of metal which glows red in the forge and Valeera's breath. You stand there for about two minutes before one of the smiths notices your presence and walks over sweating heavily. "Afternoon sir. We're making good progress and should have it completed tomorrow. We've already displaced two emeralds and a sizeable diamond over there. Do you have need of us for something?" he asks as he points out the gemstones resting on the anvil.
Torq- You hear Gaelin's message and know you have the rest of the day to spend with the twins.
(Everyone- for all intents and purposes we'll say 3 hours have elapsed across the group. It is 5pm at castle Daybreak, 1pm at Sonas and 10am at the grove. Jinara you still have two hours of study in your book left and Aryn and Iris are free to continue discussing or request new relics.)
