Inara watches events unfold as they do and smiles. "Let's begin. Mucor, slow your breathing and allow yourself to float in the water." As she says this the water's glow intensifies and you feel the temperature warm even more. The water seems to become more viscous and smell of a sweet honey-like aroma. Vines begin to sprout from the ground and create a lattice over the top of the hole while the mud and clay from the mound slowly drift over the lattice entombing Mucor in a glowing sarcophagus. As the last bit of clay goes in place the rays of light from the water disappear as they become completely covered. Inara begins chanting rhythmically as the ritual commences. Mucor takes one last deep breathe and falls asleep drifting into a dream.
Mucor, you find yourself experiencing flashbacks that start with the meeting of the leaders, then to the Aurora and fighting the undead. Next the tower explosion, you can feel the heat as the flash erupts. The visions begin to ass by quicker. Your first fight with Daegon, rescuing Gaelin and Aryn, the battle at the front lines, and saving the town of Riverwood from a Drekthar attack. You wandering in the nearby valley, your escape from the swamp, years of survival within the swamp. You can feel your small hooves sticking in the mud as you trudge through. Back even further, you only hear your own cries and snorts as a baby minotaur surrounded by swamplands. The dream slows and your vision goes white. It clears and you hear the sound of a baby crying, with little snorts. The scream of a midwife and shouts of anger from a half-elf man. You feel yourself picked up and wrapped in a blue cloth with a golden embroidered letter. You squint trying to see the letter in the shuffling steps that carry you away and find that it is an L. You are transferred into an ornate covered carriage with blue suede cushions and rapidly wisp'd away. You feel yourself being carried out of the carriage and a cold breeze tickles your snout causing you to cry and snort. The half elven man looks down at you in disgust and walks for what feels like an eternity but in reality is only about 2 minutes before placing you against a tree in the middle of the swamp. You watch as he leaves you never looking back and disappears out of sight. You hear a whip and the sound of a horse and carriage traveling in the distance.
Mucor- Make a wisdom saving throw with advantage since Aryn is there with you!
The pain from reliving your childhood creeps into your mind but you fight it off as you focus on Aryn's whisper. Your heart thumps strongly and you feel a warmth rush over you. The first 6 hours pass without issue and the physical process of your body's transformation sets in. Your skin tingles and your head aches. Your muscles contract and loosen as the cells are broken down and remade. Your instinctively flinch as what feels like thousands of needles prick and poke your organs. Your dream returns to the cave where you fought Lucius the large white werewolf. You feel his teeth puncture your skin and the poison from his curse flow through your veins. The intense pain nearly wakes you but you remain unconscious, stuck in this torment. While still experiencing the burning sensation from the bite your vision shifts back to the tower and you see the orb of light flash brightly then the outside of your body begins to burn. You look around and watch all of your friends incinerated and turned to ash as the pain throughout you builds.
Mucor- Make a constitution saving throw! (Roll twice in case Aryn does anything to attempt to help you for this roll.)
Aryn- make a perception check to see if you notice anything going on within the sarcophagus.

OH Crap! my wis save is WAY higher than my con save... Con Saves! 2421
I also have this special trait for being a spore druid... I don't exactly think that this matters but it might?
Fungal BodyGGtR
At 14th level, the fungal spores in your body alter you: you can’t be blinded, deafened, frightened, or poisoned, and any critical hit against you counts as a normal hit instead, unless you’re incapacitated.
Five more hours pass and Inara continues her chanting keeping an eye on the clay. After the fifth hour she watches as light begins to shine through the clay. A cloud forms on her brow and she looks at Aryn expectantly, her eyes darting from her to the sarcophagus and the entrance of the garden. Her ritual chanting continues in an attempt to maintain concentration on the spell to preserve the life within. Inside the sarcophagus, Mucor's partially transformed body thrashes wildly. The half minotaur, half elven body writhes in pain and tears away at itself. One horn remains and scrapes against the clay and vines damaging the structure.
Aryn- make an Insight check in addition to your perception check.
(Oh crap. Texting Aryn to get on. Gotta save Mucor!)
(@Xtra- So I'd be asleep during the first part, but would be awake by the end of the next 5 hours right? Gaelin would've checked in with Aryn or Mucor in the morning just to make sure all was good. Gonna post and just see what you say.)
After Gaelin wakes and eats breakfast he'd cast Sending on Aryn and say, "Hey sis, how's Mucor doing? Is there anything we can do? Do you think he'd want us there?"
OOC: So this is how Mucor dies... a half elf half Minotaur blob of slop floating in a puddle of water lol. Maybe my next character will be an orc that just hates nature... HATES IT!

(@Gaelin- reasonable... let's see what hour you send it. 2)
(crap... So: 6 hours +5 hours =11 Gaelin slept 8 hours to get a long rest and of course sent his message 3 hours after he woke up... just in time.... these dice...)
Aryn- you recognize that something is wrong and see the clay being scraped away as rays of light begin to penetrate through the clay. You also are able to mostly understand Inara's meaning through her looks and break into a dead sprint to go find help. While sprinting you hear your brother's voice in your head checking in on the progress Mucor's making.
(We'll say you have 6 minutes of D&D time to save Mucor... How? That'll be up to your creativity and the dice.)
(Just finished editing and the number changed from 3 to 2. In my original post the d4 roll was a three so I am sticking to that.)
"Gaelin. Come to the Grove now, the big tree. Make sure you have your staff or whatever you need to heal." she replies frantically. She'll continue to sprint, using bonus to dash for a total of 105 ft per round. As soon as she finds someone she'll tell them to find a healer and to head towards the garden where Inara is performing the ritual. Aryn will continue towards the large tree an wait for her brother.
(oh snap. Jinara would be enthralled in his book right now and have no idea whats going on unless someone touched base with him. Come on guys. You got this!!)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gaelin, would immediately look to Valeera and say, "We need to get to the grove quick!" and hop on her back. They'd fly down and once there find Herbert and have him open the portal to the grove. (Valeera will shift to human form to fit.) As soon as they're through the portal Valeera will shift back into dragon form and they'll both look for Aryn.
Perception: Gaelin: 16 Valeera: 15
Once they find Aryn, Valeera will pick her up and fly the two of us wherever Aryn says to go (160 ft per round). Once Gaelin reaches Mucor he'll run up and reach through one of the holes in the clay to touch Mucor's body and cast Regenerate. If no change happens he'll cast Greater Restoration on Mucor at 8th level)
It takes Aryn a little over 2 minutes to reach the central tree trunk after directing two guards to find a healer. The two guard look somewhat confused but are aware of the ritual being performed by Inara and rush to find aid. At the base of the tree trunk Aryn sees Valeera's dragon form burst into view from the wooden scaffolding above her and swoop down to pick her up. Aryn directs them towards the garden and they arrive at the expiration of the third minute. Gaelin rushes in seeing Inara still chanting, though her hands shake as she tries to maintain her control of the spell. Gaelin reaches into the gelatinous goo that sloshes wildly. As his hand touches Mucor's skin Gaelin feels an intense burning sensation as his hands seem to pass through the semisolid skin as if it were honey until he finds purchase on Mucor's Humerus bone. Mucor's form goes limp as the pain is too much to bear from Gaelin's touch. Gaelin expends his first spell healing Mucor: 36 and feels the skin begin to form around his hand.
Gaelin - Make a DC16 constitution saving throw to expend your 2nd spell! You take: 34 damage!
Mucor- Make a death saving throw. If you succeed (10+) make constitution saving throw with advantage!
OOC: So I did a plus 3 to con since I would have taken off my ring of protection and I would have dropped my con save down by 1. Also I wonder if someone needs to fix my clay cacooon lol. The hole is letting all the light out :D. Also also... this is going to be really awkward if Mucor ends up fused to gaelin
Gaelin loses grip on the bone but finds it and expends his second spell fighting through the pain. He quickly retracts his hand as he feels Mucor's form shudder and begin to move once more. The two guards accompanied by 6 druids arrive a 5 minutes later. Four begin to carefully add more clay and reseal the sarcophagus while the other two tend to Inara who looks as though she may faint. With everyone restored the next 13 hours seem to pass by incredibly slow. As each hour passes the clay begins to harden and turn to stone. In the last hour, the ground around the sarcophagus begins to rumble as vines lift the large stone pillar tilting it upright before the vines continue to grow rapidly twisting and intertwining with one another until it looks as if they are forming a tree trunk. Looking around you in the garden you see only 4 other trees that surround the pond. The vines begin to harden and turn brown forming into bark while more vines sprout upward creating a new tree. At the expiration of the 24th hour a new blossoming willow tree stands before you in place of the hole.
A tense moment passes as Inara finishes her chanting and exhales deeply, exhausted from the spell. She looks expectantly at the tree and you wait as time seems to stop. A dull green glow begins to emit from a knot in the tree trunk. The glow intensifies and grows larger spreading nearly the width of the trunk forming a large glowing portal similar to the kind Herbert uses but it is opaque rather than clear. A second passes as everyone looks to the glowing portal before...
Mucor- please step out of the portal and describe your new form to the others. (Congrats on successfully completing your Metamorphosis. Make sure you change your character sheet accordingly.)
A tall muscular woodelf emerges from the portal. Where there has once been a long shaggy mane, there is now black wavy hair reaching down to his shoulders. His eyes are bright green and there is a smile on his tan elvish face. Mucor would step from the portal awkwardly at first with one hand feeling the stubble on his chin and the other running along his long pointed ear. "Ha...." He would chuckle as he smiles with a set of sparkling clean teeth. After his first few steps, he straightens out a bit and notices the group. "It worked.... It worked!' He would shout excitedly as the nearly hairless figure moved towards the group. being naked was not totally uncommon for mucor in the past, but before he had been so covered in hair.. even when badly burned.. that he was never this exposed. The newly formed woodelf either didn't notice or care as he quickly raced towards Aryn and gave her a big hug. Then looking to Inara, he would move to her and grab her hand with his. "Thank you soo much..." He would say as his eyes teared up slightly. Then... looking around, he would notice Gaelin and Valeera.. "Oh.. hey! When did you both get here.. I thought I was going to surprise you.." He would ask with a smile on his face.
