Jinara reacts quicker than he has in the past. "The path to true power is through knowledge. If I limit potential because of fear of the unknown, I am doing myself and Davara a grave injustice. Gaelin, let's do this. Bring my memories back."
Aryn smiles as she listens to Jinara's choice and stands to her feet. "No matter what your past, we are with you."
She turns to look back at Kelgos and adds, "Because it's the right thing to do. To help those is need, not for coin or reward. Weak, strong, big or small, all people can be good or bad. There's no way for us to know if someone we save today may go out and kill 100 people but they could just as easily save that many or more. We try to look at things on a case by case basis and make the best decision we can with the information we have. Life isn't always black and white... it's actually mostly grey. You use your heart and your mind to judge a person, not based on appearance, action or words but all of the above." Aryn replies.
(Assuming Gaelin follows through. I'm going to go ahead and post this. Jinara please feel free to ask any questions.)
With the dining hall mostly empty you leave the table and gather in the center of the great hall around Jinara. As Gaelin begins casting the spell his body begins glowing with a white aura of restorative energy. The aura seems to fade around his head and feet while it intensifies around his hands. The energy pulses as Gaelin mutters his incantation and his hands now glow brightly. He places both hands on Jinara’s shoulders and Jianra’s eyes flash from within. Jinara’s body shutters and the energy spreads through his body and his eyes turn white as his memory is restored. A few moments of silence pass and Jinara shakes his head slightly and blinks lowering his head into his chest as the vast array of memories stream through his mind. He exhales and breathes in deeply. A flash of energy bursts from his body causing all around him to blink from the brightness. Behind Jinara’s back golden scaled wings unfurl from underneath his cloak and shimmer in the torchlight. Jinara exhales slowly again and looks up at the group.
Jinara- As Gaelin touches you, you feel and intense indescribable sensation as your mind is suddenly filled with memories long forgotten. You have flashbacks of yourself as a child in the temple serving under Wymeron who greets you warmly and instructs you with kindness. Another memory come in of the day Wymeron taught you to cast your first spell. That memory fades and you feel your mind go blank. You exhale as another rush of memories flood your mind.
You are flying through the air. You look over to your right and left to see a multitude of metallic dragons. Gold, silver, bronze, brass and copper all in a huge formation soaring through the clouds. You look ahead of you and see a dark island in the middle of the ocean. An erupting volcano at its center spewing molten lava and ash into the air as a swarm of chromatic dragons swirl around it. You see flashes of a great battle between the metallic and chromatic dragons. You killing a green dragon as a copper dragon falls to a black dragon’s breath. You hear a deafening roar from within the volcano. The ground of the island cracks and glows as the massive fissures fill with magma. The top of the volcano explodes as a massive ancient red dragon bursts from within send debris flying in all directions. You battle on and watch as the red dragon snaps a brass dragon’s neck in its massive jaws and decapitates the metallic dragon. The ancient dragon roars in triumph as you feel an intense pain in your back from a blue dragon’s lightning breath and you begin to fall. You look back at your wounded back and see the lightning blast has severed your right wing from your body. Golden scales and blood pour from the wound and your vision goes black as you feel the sharp impact of the ground below.
Your body tenses and you feel a release of energy being expelled from you body as a new vision comes to your mind. Your rebirth… You see Davara standing over the corpse of an adult gold dragon lying on the ash covered ground. A tear falls from her cheek and she looks up to the skies. A column of light descends on the gold dragon’s body and it begins to levitate up into the air before disappearing into the clouds. A new memory burst into your mind. You look around and see Davara standing in front of you, a child of only 4. She smiles and kisses your forehead before you vanish in a flash of light. You arrive a moment later in the material plane and are brought to Wymeron would looks down at you with a cheerful smile and picks you up with all the love a father would have.
You now remember that you were once a gold dragon who fought in the great war against the chromatic dragons. Though you perished, the metallic dragons were victorious and the defeated chromatic dragons fled and scattered across the world. Through Davara’s divine power you were reborn, an Aasimar, as one of her guardians on the material plane.
Kelgos shrugs and replies rhetorically, "How do you tell if one's actions are good or bad? Actions are either advantageous or not. You allow emotion to cloud your thoughts and actions basing it on hope and feelings. In my plane we do things based on how it will benefit us both in the short term and in the long run."
Jinara sits. Just sits while everyone watches him. He does not move. He does not flinch. He does absolutely nothing in response to the overwhelming flood of history and life changing realization of who he was. Or is. The only visible show is a stream of tears running down his cheeks, but no crying or sobbing. He sits like this for what feels like an eternity, but does not acknowledge a single person
(Xtra: I am spending 1sp to subtle cast Scrying on the dark island and volcano to see what it looks like now. More RP to come after the scrying)
(OOC or you can pm me if you don't want the others to see. Your choice.)
Jinara- Your vision flashes white as you are transported thousands of miles away. You look around you and see three jungle covered islands that still smoulder in places surrounding a smaller desolate central island with an active volcano. A column of dark grey ash rises into the air and molten rock flows slowly out from the top in three streams. Make a perception check!
Jinara- Though the tropical islands are shaded by a thin layer of sulfurous fog or ash, you can make out the subtle reminders of the giant explosion and battle. Large chunks of land that are embedded at awkward angles into the ground, large bones jut from the bushes and sections of rocky land. In the shallow water around the small island you see the massive skull of a colossal dragon just below the surface. The small volcano continues to spew ash into the air but doesn't seem to be erupting explosively as before.
As Gaelin's spell takes root. You see a the flash of light move of Gaelin into Jinara. The light fades (as described) but once his consciousness re-enters the dining hall another flash of brilliant light engulfs the chambers (if needed for narrative sake, Jinara uncontrollably casts Daylight ). Everyone sees a pulse within the light, and as the lights subsides the see a large set of wings. Draconic in natural structure, but golden and white light glowing with Divine grace.
As Jinara says his words previously stated, he is unaware of the wings behind him. (I have an image, but can't use it on my phone)
"I'm....I'm ok. I am actually confused and happy and intrigued all at the same time. I...am...was...a dragon." Jinara says exhaling in to a sort relaxed state.
"Well that is interesting!" Mucor would say with a smile, seemingly relaxing a bit as Jinara relaxes in front of them. "I was worried that the memories of your past might not have been happy.. that they might leave you upset. I am glad to hear that you are happy."
"Mucor. I think I am thousands of years old. Or was at at least. I died in a great war. Have any of you ever heard of the cataclysm?" Jinara says trying to gauge room before he dives into all this.
Jinara reacts quicker than he has in the past. "The path to true power is through knowledge. If I limit potential because of fear of the unknown, I am doing myself and Davara a grave injustice. Gaelin, let's do this. Bring my memories back."
"Because someone has to do it." Mucor would reply before shoving more food into his mouth.

(what?!?!?!?!?!?!?)
Gaelin nods and leads Jinara over to the center of the hall. "Very well."

(Daaaaaaaang.)
Torq looks over Jinara's wings and cocks his head examining them closely and admiring the beauty of them. "Are you alright?" he asks

"My gods." Jinara says as he comes back to reality. "I have so many questions!"
