Necromancer's Delusion-Homebrew

"Sounds like a good plan to me." Mucor would add with a smile.

While Gaelin and Jinara discuss their findings, word is sent to Torq and Iris.  After about a minute Iris comes down to the dining hall and greets you. "Welcome back.  We're you able to find anything?"  You fill her in with the information you gained and the experience Gaelin had with the stone tablet. "Oh my, that is quite interesting. I inquired with a few contacts and I think you can avoid the larger cities of the Haemor and Thettarus kingdoms.  Both kingdoms seem to still be in a bit of disarray from the war.  Esterlin and Ancesa may be good choices as well as the cities within the Xirin dynasty."

Aryn & Mucor- You find the Black Boar tavern and settle yourselves at an unoccupied table.  A young human barmaid with blonde hair comes to greet you and takes your orders while you make your plans for the remainder of the day.  She brings you each a cool beverage and after a few minutes serves your food. "So what brings ya to Yeim?" she asks making idle conversation hoping for a better tip. Mucor, it takes you a moment but you've heard this voice before, then it clicks in your mind.  Her hair is a bit shorter and her clothes a bit more ragged but your barmaid is Daisy from Riverwood.  Make a perception check.

Mucor Perception! 30

"Hello daisy! It is good to see you again, How have you been?" Mucor would say with a smile before motioning to Aryn. "This is my girrr uhh... close friend Aryn... we are enjoying some fresh air and taking a little time to relax" He would add as he begins to blush. "So uhh... are you still with Quintin?" He would ask quickly as he tries to change the subject, completley forgetting that the last time he saw her he was a minotaur and she probably has NO IDEA who he is. "You sure are a long way from Riverwood"

As dinner progresses, Jinara ponders the inner thoughts he has had since his revelation and is eager to continue learning about this event and what transpired. "I think we take tonight and utilize our arcane collective abilities to gain as much insight as we can. That may help guide our research in the libraries."

Torq will arrive at the dining hall after being told of Gaelin and Jinara's return. "Hello friends.  I hope you have a good trip.  You haven't missed much." he says in a jovial mood.  More so  than any of you have ever seen him in.

I imagine Torq would have spent the entire day with the twins in their quarters, training at the monastery then at the spa and again to his quarters or theirs.

“Yes, a very interesting trip. We...” and Gaelin explains everything they discovered.  “I’m glad it’s been quiet here. That’s just what I need after a long day of study.”  He turns to Jinara and says, “Then let’s begin.” And he’ll cast scrying focusing on the spot where he saw Neltharion from the memory. he’ll allow Jinara into his mind if he casts detect thoughts. 

Jinara will cast detect thoughts and delve deep to see what Gaelin sees

Aryn looks at Mucor with a questioning look then recalls the name from a local advertisement then immediately looks at Daisy.

(No worries, it happens.)

Aryn & Mucor- Daisy is mortified, her face losing its color.  She immediately opens her mouth but nothing but a hushed mumble comes out.  She tries to compose herself and gets out , "I'm sorry I don't know what you're talking about mister." and begins to move slowly away from your table all the while her eyes are locked on Mucor and Aryn until for a brief second they flit over to a table in the corner where a hooded figure sits.  While Mucor speaks she shakes her head mumbling, "this isn't happening..." and looks again towards the figure.   Roll Initiative!

Mucor- though you don't recognize the figure in the corner from his clothes, you do recognize the hand crossbow slung on his belt and the ornate leather boots on his feet.  That is Quentin Caruso, the man who aided in the defense of Riverwood then fled the town with the sheriff's daughter.

Aryn- You catch the quickened breathing and side glance to the figure in the corner.  You can see that she is contemplating in her mind whether to scream for help or to run.  As Mucor explains to Aryn you watch Daisy's face turn almost white as the recollection hits her. She take in a large gasp of air then looks at you and makes a move towards the door.  "No, no no no no." she says breaking into a sprint.

Gaelin & Jinara- After you finish your meal you set out some candles and clear a space in the dining hall.  Jinara, Iris, Valeera and Torq all gather around Gaelin as he begin the ritual and create a translucent orb of arcane energy. Jinara mutters an incantation connecting to Gaelin's subconscious as Gaelin stares into the orb and his vision goes white as he is transported across the world.    Both of you make a perception check!

Mucor would notice the questioning look and shake his head slightly. "Sorry Aryn, This is Daisy from Riverwood. A while back I was part of a group that did some work in Riverwoord for her father." The elf would explain as he reaches across the table and places his hand on Aryn's. "The work we did there is what got me involved with the mess with the orcs and how I ended up teaming up with you and your brother." He would add before looking back to daisy. "Although back then I was a lot hairier and had some big horns" He would add with a wink. "Do you remember a minotaur named Mucor?" He would ask with a smile.

Aryn & Mucor-  Daisy is heading southwest towards the double door entrance that opens out onto a deck.

Gaelin- you blink and when you open your eyes you see an overgrown ruin.  Collapsed and partially melted stone structures are all that remain of the once great city.  Though you know where you should be from your experience, you can't distinguish which ivy covered structure is the keep.

Jinara- You see through Gaelin's vision the moss and ivy covered ruins of the city.  As he looks around you begin to make out some small details but still the full picture is difficult to make out.  You can tell by the layout and patterns of ivy the road network that passes through and can see the crumbling waste of the once towering keep that appears to be nestled into the side of the mountain.  Looking at it from your perspective the layout of buildings nearby somewhat resembles castle daybreak's keep, though it is hard to tell with all the plant growth covering the majority of the stones.  you can still see the burn marks and bubbled sections of the stone that weren't completely melted from Neltharion's breath.

"Aryn, please keep Daisy safe but don't let her leave" Mucor would say as he stands up and moves towards Quentin. "Hey friend, long time no see. How have you been?" Mucor would say calmly as he walked towards the hooded figure. He would make no move for any weapon of any kind, just trying to position himself between the man and daisy.

(After Daisy goes)

Aryn will nod at Mucor and sprint after her, (bonus dash if necessary) and try to restrain her calmly or forcibly if she resists.  "It's okay, you're not in trouble.  We just want to talk."

"That is always a enthralling experience. Did you see the tower in that mountain?? Elements of it reminded me of ours. I wonder if there is anything to that." Jinara says as he slips into thought. He touches his chest and subtly casts Guidance

Gaelin will come out of the spell and look at Jinara, "I'm glad you could make things out that well.  All I could see was ruins overrun with greenery.  perhaps I'll have better luck with my other spell."

Gaelin will remember all the knowledge he has gained so far about Neltharion and cast Legend Lore

After his recollection of construction and magical links,  Jinara sees the beginnings of the incantation he is familiar with being cast by Gaelin and begins casting Legend Lore himself; however, he will focus on the Phoax.
