"No I dont think so, thank you for your help" Mucor would reply before walking with Aryn towards the stables. "I suppose we should get our horses quickly if we want to get to the shop before our magical clothes disappear" Mucor would say looking to Aryn.
"Thank you." Aryn says to Lily and moves along with Mucor to the stables. "Agreed. Mucor, we don't have to visit the manor if you don't want to. I'm here to help if you do, but if not we can just enjoy the city. Now let's shop." she says mounting up on her horse and heading north towards the nearest tailor.
"I want to go.. I just... am in no rush to go right away. Maybe we can find me some clothes to make me look handsome and successful" Mucor would reply with a smile. "I want to make a good new first impression" He would add as he climbs on to the horse. "Especially since my first impression was not well received" Mucor would mumble quietly to himself as little more than a whisper. Once on top of the horse he would shake his head and let out a small snort before giving Aryn another smile. "So what kind of outfit are you hoping to buy. I think you look very nice with your hair down with the dress from before. There are fewer distractions keeping me from seeing the real you." He would say with a smile as the horse begins to make its way towards the shops.
Gaelin would walk over to the mage and say, "Hello again, I was wondering... do you allow drinking or eating here? I'm a bit parched from reading these last few hours and was wondering if I could request a glass of wine or water. If at all possible I'd like to grab a couple snacks from my bag if that's permitted or do you perhaps have food brought here? I apologize, I'm just not aware of how things work in this library compared to others." he says with a smile.
Persuasion: 27 (trying to get him to leave us for a moment.)
If he won't leave then Gaelin will wait until the mage's back is turned and attempt to cast the incantation.
Gaelin- the mage looks at you with a bit of confusion but also of understanding. "We don't allow the consumption of food in the archives. You are allowed to drink though should any book or tome be damaged due to this, you are barred from the archives for a year so exercise caution if you must drink. The knowledge here isn't going anywhere so if you are in need of more substantial sustenance you are free to leave and return at your leisure. If you do not have a vessel or refreshment on hand I can request one be brought to you." he says with a bow and looks at the others before heading down to the main level. You take this momentary reprieve to sit at the table and attempt to cast the spell discreetly. The runes and words are not of any makeup you've seen before and only due to your comprehend languages spell are you able to attempt it.
Gaelin- Roll a DC 17 Charisma check, no proficiency bonus.
Gaelin- Though you can read the words written, the magic is wholly unknown to you. As you attempt to cast the spell the tablet illuminates for a moment then flashes and the stone tablet fractures into three pieces on the table. (You have roughly 30 seconds before the mage returns.)
Gaelin will look dumbstruck at the pieces of stone on the table for a second then immediately check the area to see if he's been seen. "Shit" he mutters under his breath and will cast Mending on the tablet and try to piece it back together.
Gaelin- you can see Kelymar begin to make his way back from the front table towards the stairs. You see Jinara deeply engrossed in his studies and Valeera seemingly bored from hers as she turns another page. No one seems to be paying you any attention, which for the moment is good. Roll two d20s and add your spell casting modifier to attempt to mend each fragment. (Whatever you add to Eldritch Blast.)
Gaelin- You carefully press each fragment to the main slab and cast mending successfully fusing the pieces together. You can now hear Kelymar's footsteps approaching from the stairwell and know you only have seconds before he arrives. (Do you attempt to cast the spell again? If so make another DC 17 Cha check, no prof bonus.)
Gaelin-As you finish the spell your vision flashes white and your body goes limp. Your vision returns but it is not your own. You are in the body of another being in a different location. Your ears pick up the sounds of a commotion in the distance. You look down at the fresh stone tablet in your hands and decide to run out of the room and into the streets. You look up at a tall stone keep and see an ornately dressed man being held up by what appears to be a farmer. You squint and can see the royal man appears to be beaten and bloody. The farmer yells out in a voice that sounds unnaturally loud, “Behold citizens of Phoax. Your great and mighty King.” Each word being pronounced with a building sense of anger.
The farmer’s body transforms into the largest dragon you’ve ever seen or heard of. Dark red scales that almost appear black glow red from the dragon’s internal heat. The head as large as a small house with wings that seemed to wrap over the entire keep. Clutched in each forehand of the dragon was the royal man. You see the dragon pull the man apart and feel his warm blood splatter across your face. You turn away wiping your eyes and look back up to see the towering dragon looking down at the crowd. “You are all privileged to be the first to experience true power. KNEEL!” the dragon says loudly. You hear various screams and look around as many of the crowd immediately kneel. “This is your true place. Low amongst the dirt and ash.” The dragon continues. With each word you feel the intense heat from just his breath. You look around and see many still standing including yourself.
You see a spell impact against the side of the dragon followed the bolt of a ballista and feel a surge of energy from within your body as you cast a spell. The dragon’s form is pelted with a multitude of attacks. The dragon snarls and yells, “Insects! Return to the ash!” and you see the dragon rear back his head before opening its mouth and spewing out a wide jet of flame. Your hand reflexively raises, and you summon an invisible barrier watching the flames engulf all those around you. Bodies are instantly turned to ash from the heat. You see the invisible barrier flicker and crack from the intense heat and shatter. You feel intense searing pain from the heat of the flames and fall to the ground coughing up blood. You look up and see the colossal dragon look up, leap into the sky and roar. You feel your head dizzy and use the last bit of your strength to teleport to a Library. You look down at the stone tablet and begin casting an incantation watching the runes illuminate and embed themselves into the stone and then your vision goes black.
You blink again and find yourself at the table staring at the tablet. you look at the inside of the leather cover and imprinted on it reads, "Recovered at the ruins of Phoax beaneath the corpse of Nadeir Elvath still gripping the stone." An empty glass and bottle of wine sit next to you on the table. You look up to see Kelymar with arms crossed flanked by Jinara and Valeera who look tentatively at you. “Are you alright?” Kelymar asks.
Gaelin looks to the glass and pours himself some wine casually as he can. Then looks to the others. "Thanks for the wine. Oh, sorry. I'm trying to understand exactly what stuff is on this tablet. Must've been in the zone. All good here."

Aryn looks over to Mucor and says, "I think we can arrange that. Don't worry about what to say. Just follow my lead. I'm looking for something form fitting and functional but still elegant. I may have to give up on one or more of those but we won't know until we get there right?" she says with a smile.

Jinara chimes in in an attempt to mask any unwanted interpretations by Kelymar and says "I've been enthralled about a reiteration of gold dragons and their ability to shape change. It's fascinating when you just get lost in a good read isn't Gaelin? Kelymar I'm sure you've had a similar experience working in a place such as this, right??"
(As much as I would actually love that, I think Valeera would be a bit more reserved.)
Jinara- Though Gaelin seemed partially unconscious, his eyes were open, so he was probably just really into his book or he can sleep with his eyes open.
Gaelin, Jinara & Valeera- Kelymar looks back and forth between Jinara and Gaelin, squints and shakes his head. He initially assumes something is amiss but can't prove anything. Jinara's words help shift his attitude and he exhales, a bit of frustration on his brow. "Perhaps you are right. Just please be careful. Some of these tomes are quite old." he says before turning back and stationing himself equidistant between your section and another occupied section of the second floor.
Aryn & Mucor- You trot along the wide cobblestone path of the city passing various merchants. The streets are filled with the smells of wood burning in fireplaces and the sweet aroma of bread being baked. After about a minute you come across the Swift Spindle and enter after tethering your horses to a nearby hitching rail. As you enter a tiny bell attached to the door jingles. "Just a moment." you hear a hitch scratchy voice say. The shop is about 12 feet by 10 feet and various cloths and sample items sit adorned on hay manakins or on tables. A short wooden desk sits in the southeast corner in front of an open door. You hear the sounds of fabric being moved and murmuring before a small gnome, with grey hair, spectacles and a quick step, nimbly leaps onto the desk and says in the same hitch pitched scratchy voice, "Hello and welcome to the Swift Spindle. How might I be of service to ye."
