Necromancer's Delusion-Homebrew

Gaelin will look at Jinara and whisper to him, "Would you like to invite Iris along with us?  Or have you given her other tasks to do while we're away?  Should we visit the ruins of Phoax first or continue our library hopping?" 

When Daisys shift is done he would look to her and smile. "Please, quickly gather your belongings.. only the items most important to you." He would say calmly. He would stay close to both of them and keep his eyes and ears peeled for anyone that might be paying a bit too much attention. once they had their things, he would escort them out into into the forest. once there he would stop at the first large tree and cast [/spell]Transport via Plants[/spell]. "Here, Take this note and give it to Herbert. He is a large friendly tortle druid that takes care of the grove while I am away. When you pass through this portal you will find yourselves in the druid grove that I created inside of Daybreak. I had planned on bringing you back with us but I think it would be better to send you on ahead since you mentioned that there might be those around that would stop you.."

"Morning! Iris, I would invite you to join us! She may be of better use for research than I anyways whenever we visit the next library. Regarding our next location, I feel drawn to Phoax. After your tablet vision and the lore we learned last night, I feel it best we visit their sooner rather than later. Who knows if Neltharion is close to returning to this plane." Jinara says with haste.

Mucor & Aryn- It takes the better part of two hours but at the expiration of Daisy's shift she hurriedly gathers her belongings and timidly follows behind Quentin who leads her through the magical tree portal you create.  On the opposite side you see the dimly lit grove with glowing mushrooms and flowers.  You see Button jr pop up on your arm and you feel a warm sensation travel up your neck and into your head.   Daisy and Quentin look back and wave as the portal closes and vanishes in a flash of light.

Mucor- Make another Intelligence saving throw!

Gaelin, Jinara & Torq- Iris nods and says, "I would love to accompany you on this journey.  Let me gather my things and I will return shortly." and she bows before taking her leave.  As you discuss your plans and await Iris' return you see Herbert approaching followed by two individuals, a human man and woman.  He bows and says, "These two are recent acquaintances of Mucor and Aryn.  They arrived late last night and I thought it best to defer their introduction until this morning.  This is Quentin and Daisy."

(Mucor- if you want Herbert would probably hand the letter to Gaelin, Jinara or Torq unless it specified otherwise so you can share what the letter would say if you want.)

(The letter just explains who they are and that they are friends of mine and should be taken care of accordingly. He does ask that he let the other light bringers know that they are there and that we will return soon.)

(OOC: WELP! I was planning to turn to aryn and thank her for being so patient and helpful... but now instead I am a mushroom zombie :D)

"Welcome friends. You caught us as we are departing. Herbert will be of great help getting you settled in and we will have formal introductions upon our return." Jinara says not wanting to waste any time in the day. "Gaelin, do you think it would be of benefit to have either Kelgos or Cedany as an extra set of eyes? We have you, Valeera, Iris, and myself. Who knows what we might run into in Middle Islands."

(I'm so anxious now... what's going to happen to Mucor...)

Me too! It wasn't like I just failed it a little bit... I failed it SUPER hard. Someone is going to have to get Button Jr to more to his Mucors hand thand then cut it off or something. 

Mucor- the warm feeling intensifies to a searing pain.  You reach to grab the back of your neck and your vision goes black.  You feel your eyes open again and you turn back to look at Aryn.  You didn't do that.  You see, hear and feel everything but have no control.  You think of moving your arm, opening your mouth to tell Aryn something is wrong but you don't move.  You just stare into Aryn's eyes as if your body is controlled by some other means.  You hear a voice from within your mind say, "Hello Mucor.  Thank you for being such a wonderful friend and giving me the best gift ever... your body.  You will serve as our best meal yet."  You scream in your mind but your body refuses to cooperate.  You try to move your arms, no response.  

Aryn-you watch as Mucor reach to the back of his head reflexively.  His head and body turn slowly, robotically to face you and a blank, emotionless stare is all that you see now.  Make an insight check.

Gaelin& Jinara- Iris nods at Jinara's suggestion adding, "While I am not well versed in their skills, I do think that given their backgrounds, both could be vital assets to us on our journey."

OOC: WELP! Mucor had a good run. It just goes to show ya that you should  appreciate what you have. If I had just stayed a minotaur everything would still be fine :D)

(Hi Xtra. Can you add Cedany as an extra on my character sheet like you did with Kelgos?)

Jinara would cast Message to Kelgos and Cedany and say "Want to take a trip? We might be able to use skills for an exploration. Come to the dining hall immediately."

(Mucor-There's still a chance.  All is not lost yet. Try to think of a way to fix it and we'll see what happens.)

(Jinara- I've added her character to the campaign as an unassigned character, so you can take control of her.)

Jinara- Kelgos replies quickly, "I suppose..." 

Gaelin & Jinara- a few minutes later Kelgos appears dressed in his cloak and leather tunic.  "I am indebted to you so if my presence can be of service... I am at your command.  Though it might be a good idea to return my arms if you want me to be of better use."   Cedany doesn't reply but  instead beats Kelgos to you and you can hear every foot of her approach.  She sprints into the dining hall with sword and shield in hand.  "I'm ready.  Let's do this.  Where we headed?" she says enthusiastically. 

(How do you do that? I am happy to, but my noob abilities are showing lol Also, can we roll Iris' Portent rolls since she is coming with us?)

(Assume his weapons are on the table) "I wouldn't have it any other way, friend." Jinara says as he looks over at the end of the table. "We are on our way to the middle islands. We can give you more details when we get there." 

(@ Jinara- I thought we were going to Phoax first?  I thought it was on Zhora.  I'm fine with going to the middle islands first though.   No idea on the character thing but sounds cool.)

(Also, what happened Mucor!  what are we gonna do???? we gotta get him here or something!)

(I thought Phoax was in the Middle Islands. Yes Phoax first. Sorry for the confusion! Xtra. I do not have a claim button. I only see 'View user profile' and 'view' for the character sheet)

Update: I figured it out. I had to empty a slot in My Characters.

(OOC: if Aryn fails her check, she may not notice anything is wrong.. no one will notice mushroom zombie mucor!)

(OOC: You notice Mucor is acting really weird and get the feeling you should dump him before slamming an arrow into his face :D )

Aryn- you notice the gesture of Mucor's hand at what you think is pain.  As he turns you see a sort of lifeless look in his eyes and a gentle pulsing blue glow around his pupils, the same pulsing glow also from Button Jr on his arm.  You would not know what exactly has happened but you would notice these strange signs and know that something is wrong.  Mucor would be smiling, say something funny or off-putting to end this 10 second empty stare.  This eerie feeling in your gut hits you and you can't shake the thought that something is wrong with Mucor and it has something to do with Button.

(@Jinara- glad you got it worked out, sorry you had to scrap a character for it.)
