"I agree, but first I'm going to rest. I can take watch at the end, I only need four hours. Gaelin, can you make the bubble dome thing?" Aryn says beginning to lay out her bedroll and take off her armor.
"I know I can control or charm people with magic, but I have no idea how to do that as a dragon or from another plane. Nor do I know how he's breathing here but not here. What I do know is I can take the second watch, and that whatever we do tomorrow, we have to be prepared and sharp." Gaelin says looking at Jinara. He turns to Iris and adds, "You got any ideas?"

While you all talk amongst yourselves Iris stands quietly pondering. "I might have an idea. Curses aren't black and white, they are malleable and customized to the caster. Neltharion had plenty of time to create such a curse. Dragons already have innate magic within them, so it is possible that Neltharion created his own curse following the example of other mages. There is also a great amount of magic still unknown from ancient times. Some scholars say that due to the vast amounts of dragons, magic was much more rampant and wild. If the crystal is somehow a cursed object, perhaps it could also be spreading a curse to any within its range of effect. That would explain the ghosts, cursed fallen and what happened to Aryn. I can say with almost complete certainty if she had died from whatever curse befell her she too would've become one of those pale creatures. Perhaps unable to be revived."
"A curse extending from another plane of existence? That is wild, but a thousand years to perfect it could cause untold possibilities. Given the arcane nature of this thing, I have an idea. I have heard of a spell that can temporarily eliminate all arcane magic. Divine magic is fine. I have never cast this spell before, but I have the fortitude to do so. Pairing with this spell, we can conjure or summon an ally who is divine in nature. We approach the crystal and unload melee attacks on it until it shatters. This is theoretical, but possible if my understanding of the antimagic spell is accurate." Jinara says, his eyes darting back and forth as he scrolls through his memories and recollections of his arcane studies.
Mucor would stand by, placing his hand on Aryn's shoulder. His face would cycle form fear for her life to then anger at whatever tried to kill her. "I would like to smash this thing as well.." Mucor would say with a snort.
Gaelin will ritually cast Tiny Hut. “I’m glad the two of you have an idea of what’s going on here. Right now I feel like I’m better off with the smashing crew as well.” He says trying to lighten the mood a bit before they sleep.
"Iris, what do you think? You know the arcane better than I. Also, this will consume the majority of my higher level arcane strength. I am open to other ideas, but given the intensive nature Aryn experienced, I fear any plan will need to be pretty powerful. " Jinara says
"Without fully knowing what this crystal is or does, I believe that to be the best plan of action for the morning." Iris replies appearing impressed by Jinara's quick thinking.
You all gather snugly within the dome created by Gaelin and eventually find sleep thought the persistent breathing seems to pervade even your dreams. As you all awaken you find the breathing has continued through the night, neither amplified or dampened from when you slept. The total darkness of the chamber is somewhat surprising but Iris, Cedany and Gaelin quickly light the area. You eat a quick meal of dried meats and nuts before making your final preparations.
gaelin & Valeera will go third row side by side. “I still think iris, Cedany and kelgos should hang back. If anything happens someone needs to be able to get back for help.” And he’ll ritual cast telepathic bond on himself, aryn, Mucor, Jinara, torq, Valeera, iris and kelgos.
You all make your way slowly through the dark chamber into another chamber where you find a large staircase carved into the stone. Iris pauses and says, "We'll remain here. Should you anything happen I'll teleport back to the castle and inform Herbert then send a message to Varian. Best of luck..." she says and looks over each of the heroes stopping for a moment on Jinara. She cracks a smile and bows. Cedany and Kelgos each nod and take a defensive stance on either side of Iris. You climb the stairs, each footstep sending a small puff of dust into the air. The sound of breathing intensifies with each step and as you near the top of the stairs you too get the sense that the walls seem to shudder in tandem with each breath. Mucor and Torq are the first to crest the stairs and as the light from Gaelin's staff illuminates the landing you see the collapsed hallway to your left. Then the long corridor in front of you and one to the right. From what you recall of Aryn's recantation the crystal lies in the chamber to the right. As Aryn and Jinara crest the top of the stairs you all hear a voice in your mind say, "How delightful."
"I agree, but first I'm going to rest. I can take watch at the end, I only need four hours. Gaelin, can you make the bubble dome thing?" Aryn says beginning to lay out her bedroll and take off her armor.
"I can take the first watch. Who's Neltharion?" Torq asks.
(Did Gaelin tell Torq about their research at the cities or just the ruins and ghosts?)

"I volunteer for the smashing crew." Torq replies.

"Sounds like a good plan to me. Let's smash it first thing in the morning." Aryn says from her prone position on the floor.

"The morning. Yes." he says as he finally sits down beside the group inside Gaelin's dome. He settles his mind into a nights rest.

Need a marching order for the stairs.
Mucor would towards the front of the line.
Jinara would also be towards the front. Maybe 2nd in line but definitely near the front
Aryn will take the second line with Jinara.
Torq will be front row beside of Mucor. Twins can take the back.
gaelin & Valeera will go third row side by side. “I still think iris, Cedany and kelgos should hang back. If anything happens someone needs to be able to get back for help.” And he’ll ritual cast telepathic bond on himself, aryn, Mucor, Jinara, torq, Valeera, iris and kelgos.
Agreed
