"Its adorable. Can I touch it?" Aryn says extending out her hand tentatively. If allowed she will attempt to pet the snake. "What can it do?" she asks then quickly stops and interrupts. "Maybe we should discuss that later." her eyes looking at the book and fragile relics all around them.
After taking a few minutes to pay attention to Mucor's snake she'll focus on the book and make more notes. When the realization hits her she'll pop up from her chair and ask Jinara "Hey Jinara. What was the name of that book by Antonidus? The one about the feywild that you read?"
(Xtra - I am lookin back through the thread and cannot find the name of the source that I recalled Antonidus. Can you point me in the right direction?)
(@Jinara- the book was indeed titled "Land of the Fey.")
Jinara- Iris would reply, "There was some transmutation magic present but the room felt strongly of necromancy."
Aryn- The snake body feels both solid and empty, as if touching a balloon. There is structure but it gives to pressure but only so much. As you pet along its body you feel the warmth and tickle of flames as they naturally flicker and wobble. The archivists and Epos each raise an eye and are about to speak until they hear you suggest another time.
"Hey Jinara. Check this out. Hazilegosa is mentioned on this tablet." Gaelin says and reads out the inscription to Jinara. "I saw a fight between them and Neltharion won. I'm not sure about it but I think that stone is either a part of Hazilegosa saved as a trophy or Hazilegosa that's been transformed and trapped as an object."
"It has a few interesting traits, but I don't want to damage anything here.." Mucor would add with a smile before looking over the items in front of him once more.
(OOC: sorry for lack of posting. Last weekend and monday was crazy.)
“I have an idea but I don’t know if we are allowed to try it, Or if it would work or be safe. Especially not in here if it is. If it works we’d need to clear space for a really big dragon.” Gaelin says thinking of casting dispel magic on it.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(My apologies Jinara, I don't know why but I thought you had Iris casting Detect Magic.)
Iris Arcana: 28
(Small retcon) Iris adds, "It is very old and seems to be a creature trapped within the stone. The object has an innate draconic essence to it. It appears to be a true polymorphed form of Hazilegosa."
Epos listens to this conversation with a mix of intrigue, disbelief and fear as he begins to peer around at the archives and priceless artifacts in the room. His eyes go wide at the thought of seeing a dragon with the renown of Hazilegosa and he appears to be contemplating his next words carefully.
(For shame Xtra. How dare you make a mistake. Hope you had a good Easter! ;) Also, I'm gonna kill you Gaelin. )
Aryn would glare at Gaelin seeing his little smirk. She knew what he was thinking but didn't care. For the first time in a long time she felt happy again and for the first time she felt something new in her gut that she knew was a growing love of Mucor. "Let's not do anything that would get us permanently banned from this place please." she says staring at Gaelin. "I think you're wearing off on him." she whispers to Mucor with a smile. "You both seem to like fascinating others with a blast."

"I know I know. Epos, I'd like to cast a spell on this object. That spell may unleash a really big dragon. For the safety of everyone and the stuff here, is there a way we can go somewhere with a lot more space?" Gaelin asks.
Jinara is taken aback at the thought of possibly meeting his mother. He was not prepared for this moment. He starts breathing a bit heavier than his normal rhythm. His mind is racing trying to process. He is visibly having a hard time with this revelation.
"Um..um, oh. My...my mother? I...I..." he says stumbling over his words, which is NOT him at all. He sits back in his chair just staring at the tablet. He closes his eyes and lowers his head. He moves his finger ever so slightly and a golden symbol of Davara appears on the breast of his cloak. Jinara begins to pray inside his mind.
"My lady. I do not know what to do. Is this truly my mother? How will she respond to her return? Will she know me? What do I say? How will she recognize me now? Will she see me as a hero or villain for my actions and planned events? My lady. My lady!" Jinara prays.
Mucor would notice Gaelin's grin but not entirely understand what caused it. He would smile at Aryns comment and place his arm on her shoulder. Although he didn't feel very useful in their attempt to uncover important information, being close to Aryn and the others made him feel better after the recent events involving his father.
Epos listens to Gaelin's request and reluctantly says after a short sigh, "I will allow it but only after careful measures have been taken to ensure the safety of the relic in transition. If this spell doesn't work and damages the relic you will be held responsible and your access removed. The archivists will begin the transport to a secure location off the volcano. It should only take them an hour or so. Once they arrive we can teleport your group there. The last of the records will be brought to all the empty tables while the archivist prepare. Those are the last remaining artifacts that bear any mention of the names or events you requested." he says with a sort of low grumbling growl. He appears conflicted about Gaelin's idea but trusts in the groups ability and judgment. As promised, the archivists carefully lift and wrap the stone in linen and leave the archives before other archivists bring the remaining tablets that contain the list of names of dragons who fell during the cataclysm.
Aryn & Mucor- records 8 & 10 are laid down at your table. You read through the numerous list of names until you see one name Jinara mentioned: "Viryngos, Gold dragon, protector and guardian of Bahamut. Served under Bahamut through multiple campaigns and fought valiantly against Neltharion on the island of Monsigneus. Was slain during a coordinated attack from Neltharion and Raikyrth."
Gaelin & Torq- records 16 & 18 are brought to your table. You scroll through the list and find the name: "Raikyrth the Black, Black dragon, Neltharion's second in command and first ancient dragon to join Neltharion's ranks. Raikyrth was said to be the largest black dragon to have ever lived. Raikyrth and Neltharion attacked and killed Viryngos before Raikyrth was slain by Seregos."
Jinara & Kelgos- You are brought records 21 & 23. Though both of you can read draconic easily, neither of you find anything of note. Iris looks over from the other table and asks, "How are you feeling? You look nervous... understandbly. Do you think Gaelin's plan will work?".
Iris & Cedany- Records 25 & 26 are brought to Iris and Cedany. Iris takes a few minutes to quickly read through the names but find nothing of note. She instead looks to Jianra who appears somewhat paler than normal.
Twins- The twins have spent the last few hours reading through a book that appears to be a broad overview of dragons, though older and more detailed than the similar books Jinara and Valeera read previously. This book appears to be translated to common and focuses on chromatic dragons. They note each name listed under the chromatic dragons as notable examples for each type throughout history.
"All this information about dragons is very interesting." The elf would say with a smile. "I have learned more about dragons in the last few hours than I have known about dragons my whole life."

(So many jokes. So little time. Ma Aryn’s petting Mucor’s snake again! Hahahahaha. Sorry couldn’t help it.)

(Pause for response from Davara, if any)
