Jubilant nodded as the others spoke as they decided to speak with the colonel. She paused, taking a moment to pipe in about her recollection. "I may have read the name Daegon before. I remember reading an older passage on a group of necromancers who tried to raise Vaeril. I think 300 years ago? They failed and were killed, but apparently one escaped, an elven sorceress called Aemyra. About 30 years or so ago there were accounts of children and teens going missing, and most folk attributed it to Aemyra. I believe one of them was a noble's son named Daegon Tenebris—it's entirely possible there's a connection," she mused aloud, trying to share as much of the information as she could.

Your group makes it's way to the colonel's tent guided by a soldier who was stationed at the triage tent. The walk there is relatively uneventful as you each share your knowledge on the name Daegon and what the implications are. As you walk the soldier calls out warnings of various puddles left over from the night's storm. Upon entering you notice Lt. Ellith, Lt Burnside and colonel Stoneheart looking over the same map making adjustments and talking about strategies. They all turn to meet you as the tent flap opens letting in light from the outside.
"Welcome and well done. Please have a seat." The colonel says somewhat cheerfully. "I'm glad you're on the mend Gabriel, we were worried about you for a moment." the loxodon politely waits for each of you to take a seat before continuing. "Now I've come to understand that each of you blacked out on the ride back to HQ except for Yera... That a voice spoke to each of you and then you passed out. That's when Gabriel took his fall and you all were escorted to the triage tent upon arrival. Some of you awoke shortly after arriving in the tent and others didn't wake until this morning. Is that correct? What did the voice say? Are you familiar with the voice and know who it might be?"
As the colonel speaks three soldiers carrying small tables and assortments of food enter the tent and set out plates for each of you. There are a couple meats and multiple vegetables and fruits to choose from. As they walk by they place foods on the plates before you as directed by your gaze or instructions. The soldiers quickly accomplish their task and exit the tent before the colonel finishes speaking.
"I cannot confirm this, but based on my time in the battles of this war, and overhearing various travelers and adventurers at Davara's temple, the only name I would expect is Daegon. Seeing undead on the battlefield, Vaeril, or worshippers of Vaeril, has to be involved. Vaeril's involvement lends to correlate with Daegon's involvement. Maybe Gabriel or Yera might have a better way to confirm this assumption." Jinara realizes that his knowledge of the gods and their dealings among mortals is a bit limited. His voice waivers just a bit as this uncertainty is something foreign to his character.
The colonel and lieutenants don't try to hide their displeasure at the mention of the name Daegon or Vaeril. The colonel looks back to the Lts who give a simple nod and looks back over the group. "For whatever reason, it seems your group has caught the attention of Daegon and that's the best chance we have to infiltrate his plans." The loxodon paces within the tent as he speaks them comes to a halt and glares at each of your before continuing.
"Everything you are about to hear is classified. If you divulge any of this information to non-authorized personnel you will be treated as an enemy of the Azuven empire and promptly detained or killed... As of 3 hours ago Daegon landed on the eastern shore of Telgun. We assume he teleported to a newly completed circle created by his mages near Rodesh. We don't know what purpose he has for moving to Telgun with the war still raging on Zhora. We know he is aided by one of the original necromancers of Vaeril named Aemyra. We aren't sure if she also traveled with him but either way Daegon even by himself is extremely dangerous. His augmented powers from Vaeril allow him to reach across continents but thankfully still have limits. None of our correspondents nor ones from the Haemor and Eshan kingdoms have been able to meet him face to face and survive long enough to report back with their findings. With Daegon now on Telgun we fear the battles at the front will become much more difficult. Haemor and Eshan were only able to achieve a standstill once they combined their efforts and dug in to the mountain ranges." The loxodon begins to paces back and forth for a few moments considering his next words carefully before halting and turning back to the group.
"We'd like your help in discovering where and what Daegon is up to. We aren't sure what caused him to select your group, only that he has spoken directly to your group on two separate occasions for some of you. Whatever you have done is catching his attention and we want you to continue this trend. We are currently working with another organization on uncovering and eliminating individuals who might have ties to Daegon within Telgun. We'd like your group to coordinate with them and assist in an upcoming mission. If you do not wish to be part of this endeavor, or if you have any questions now is the time to speak up." The loxodon looks back to the lieutenants who move up to flank him on either side as they prepare for questions and/or responses.
While keeping quiet in the back and listening very carefully to each word spoken Zinmaer would step up, "Prior to coming here I had never heard of this Daegon, but it sounds like he is a threat not only to Telgun, but eventually to our entire world if his powers are as strong as you think. I have spent many years of my life in solitude and peace, but I left that life behind so I could make a difference in this world. I realize that in order to keep that peace we have to fight for it. I will accept this mission and do whatever we need to do to prevent Daegon from gaining additional power.
Zinmaer would then pose his next question to the loxodon. "Who is the other organization that we will be working with?"
Interesting, so the necromancer Amyra was still around. Jubilant listened intently, nodding as the situation was explained. She glanced At Zinmaer, the first to volunteer to agree to go along. That took some guts. "I'll offer what services I can," she said. She felt a bit outmatched by the others in this group, but like hell if she wasn't going to offer what support she could. "Can you tell us how much Daegon is capable of? Knowledge is the best armor there is."

“The organization is an ancient druidic order known as the Elanaetas (E-lawn-ate-us). They seek to maintain the natural order of life and time. They were influential in the banishment of Vaeril and his plot to enslave and destroy all life on Eraas. With the current conflict they have reached out to various kingdoms asking for free passage and assistance in discovering and eliminating links to Vaeril and his minions such as Daegon and Aemyra. “ the loxodon responds then turns to Jubilant.
“We don’t fully know what Daegon is capable of. We know he utilizes various schools of magic to accomplish his plans. We know he is intelligent, cunning and slow to trust others.” The colonel turns to his lieutenants and nods. Lt Ellith salutes and leaves the tent. The colonel turns back to face the group, "If there are no more questions or objections it's time you be introduced to an emissary of the Elanaetas." Lt Ellith returns followed by a tall, stout, charcoal grey skinned Earth Gensai who's dressed in a dark green tunic with ornate leather vambraces. The Gensai's deep amber eyes seem to be illuminated in contrast to his dull dark skin. He bows and greets each of you in a deep soothing voice pausing to glance at Mucor.
"Peace to you friends. I see you are accompanied by a brother of the druidic order. Many blessings brother... We seek your assistance with a special mission. We've uncovered an ally of Daegon deep within northern Telgun and attempted to gain information from him. However he managed to capture a fellow druid and is holding them captive as a form of insurance against our attack. We wish to employ your services to rescue our sister and eliminate this man and his two accomplices. He is holding a celebration at his estate tomorrow night which should give you and opening to strike. His estate is well guarded but not impenetrable. More details will be provided once we arrive at the grove. If you accept meet me at the griffon rider camp at noon." The Gensai bows again and exit the tent as quickly as he entered.
"I will help in any way I can brother... I fear that perhaps my druidic nature is a little different than what you may be used to..but I am. more than willing to accept this task" Mucor would way with a smile and a snort as he extends his large hairy hand for a handshake.
Jinara listens intently to the words of the earth genasi and looks at the mannerism to gain insight on the severity of hostage situation of the female druid (insight 18)
Mucor's response is heard by the fellow druid but he exits without acknowledging it.
Jinara- The Gensai did seem upset when speaking about the captured druid. You aren't able to discern if its due to a particular closeness or just the fact that a fellow druid has been taken. His look of worry did give the impression that a life was on the line.
"His name is Geo" Ellith responds quickly with a smile. "He tends to keep to himself. Before you decide whether to leave or not we should handle your reward from the trebuchet mission and the return of any unused alchemist fire or oil. You get to keep the bag of holding as promised. We've also set aside 120 platinum and 600 gold for the group to share. We hope you know how thankful we are for your help. You saved thousands of lives last night. If any of you need weapons or armor please head back to the quartermaster. We've arranged for repairs or replacements if anything was damaged. You won't find anything with magical properties but there are a wealth of well crafted items." andshe promptly sets a bag of coin in front of the group.
Gabriel removes his boots and begins to clean them. "That one's got his head in the dirt." He comments as the druid departs. "An estate party... " Gabriel looks doubtful.
[Bold]"Agreed! We do not know what we are truly dealing with. Maybe the colonel and give us more insight."[/bold]

"The voice called us fools and said that all of Talgun will fall soon" Mucor would say grabbing some slabs of meat and veggies.
"I see. Did any of you recognize this voice?" the colonel asks
"I think I heard the voice in a dream once! But uhh... that is about it" The mintaur would say scratching his scruffy neck.
"Only know the name...never heard the voice."
