"I thought we were to kill the duke and his allies and free the captured druid... not capture them" Mucor would say tilting his large horned head towards his companion.
Inara ponders for a moment before answering, "We do not know which nobles have been invited nor which support the duke's actions. However I can have Geo provide you a list of the nobles from the local towns. In terms of your goal we need you to kill the duke, his sheriff and his maester and rescue our captured druid. It will be difficult to capture these three but if you are somehow able, we could be able to gain further knowledge of Daegon's plans. Beware though, these men are cunning and strong willed and might kill themselves should they find themselves cornered. "
"The list and any details of the nobles would be much appreciated. Deception may be our ally in this mission and the more detailed information we have, the easier that will be. I tend to have a silver tongue and can aid here if needed." Jinara says as he looks around the group.
"Perhaps we could temporarily divert the attention of the guards by causing a commotion outside the estate. Then we can infiltrate the mansion and dispose of the duke and his allies." Gabriel suggests.
Inara nods at Gabriel, "We could also assist with that. We can cause the diversion at the edge of the forest and lead them deeper into the forest to be dispatched. We just can't cross the threshold of the forest and lawn."
Geo finishes writing on a piece of parchment and hands it over to Jinara. "Here you go. There are 28 noble families across the three towns. We don't know which were invited but hopefully you can use this to your advantage somehow."
Jinara nods in acceptance while he takes the parchment. "Thank you Geo. If we can get passed the guards without alarming the duke, his companions, or the guests, persuasion and deception becomes our ally. We increase our ability to succeed if we only have to face three individuals and not 20+ individuals. Names and information about these individuals might help us maneuver the compound a bit easier." He opens it and reads its contents (Does any name resonate with Jinara? Any check?).
None of the names prompt a memory. You assume these are simply wealthy people within the local area but not wealthy enough to warrant notice from others in Eraas.
Inara agrees, "Yes, being able to reach them without their guards will require stealth and wit."
Zinmaer looks very pleased with the plan thus far, "If the diversion can give us a few minutes to slip in the back door our task will become much easier since we may be able to catch the duke and his allies off guard.
He looks to Inara, "Apologies if this has been mentioned thus far, but could you describe the targets and his allies appearances?
OOC: So... I have an interesting Idea involving wildshape... but I am not sure if it would be allowed... I also have an interesting idea involving summon creatures... but am not sure if it would be allowed... I mean I think as far as RAW goes they would be OK but not sure how you would feel about it Xtracrispy
OOC: So Mucor was thinking about casting conjure animals to summon 4 swarm of rot grubs before using his wild shape to turn into a rot grub himself with the hope of burrowing into the duke.... I mean when you look at the spell and the examples and cr ratings it should work based on RAW and rot grubs would be something Mucor would have probably seen in the swamp.
(I'll allow it. If you're actually able to pull it off then you deserve the ability to try. No modifier on attack rolls makes it improbable enough. We'll see if it works.)
Inara looks over to Zinmaer and casts a familiar bead of light onto the ground. As the bead erupts the forms of three men appear in life size renditions of your targets. "These are the men you are after. These are the faces of evil. And this is our captured sister Nymera." A fourth image appears of a dark skinned female. "I believe if we all work together we can accomplish this mission will no loss of innocent life. However, accomplishing this mission is more important than any of our lives or the lives of any innocent in the Duke's home. At any cost these three men must be killed before thousands more are lost to Vaeril."
"It is all for the greater good of Eraas. However, we prefer to spare innocent blood if at all possible." Inara responds. "I can provide you with 4 druids in addition to Geo for tonight's mission. If you can lead some of the outer guards to the forest they will attempt to control them. If unable to control them they will dispose of them quietly."
