Bears adversary falls before her vicious onslaught, but for a second time the elvish mage casts Sleep on her exhausted body. HP Affected: 24
Bear is enveloped in the cloak of slumber.
When you all awake, barely a minute later, you find yourselves in a cold stone chamber illuminated by purple-glowing lanterns. A set of iron bars prevents escape from what you quickly determine to be a cell. The stone floor is damp, and a small pool has formed in one corner of the chamber. The stone cell is bare.
Yawgou sits up and begins to get a feel for his surroundings. Seeing Bear and Belzaphira still laying down, he begins to meditate quietly, patiently waiting for something to occur.
Belzaphira sits up, holding her head for a moment before looking around. "What in the hells was that?" she says a touch of anger starting to float through her voice. "Vile, dirty fighting, no respect ..." she mutters, words trailing off as she starts to take stock of the surroundings.
Investigation: 23 to see if there is anything of immediate use or interest near by or even close to nearby the cell. General lay of the land kind of investigation.
Beyond the iron bars of your cell is a small stone room, illuminated by a dozen lanterns which adorn the walls. A stack of paper rests on a polished black wooden desk, and a narrow flight of steps leads to a higher level. You are alone for the time being.
Seeing no possible way out or anyone within his immediate vicinity, Yawgou stresses patience. "Recall they didn't outright look to kill us; instead, they took us prisoner, which means they more than likely want something. I suggest we remain patient, and they will come to us."
Yawgou pops into his shell and attempts to resume his long rest.
"Let me try something. Not sure if it will work or not, but let us see." Belzaphira says, pulling out her waterskin. She walks to the door and looks for a lock.
(I would like to attempt pouring water into the lock and freezing it with shape water with an aim to disrupt the locking mechanism. If it doesn't work, she will take an action to melt whatever DID freeze.)
Belzaphira quietly loses her focus on the lock as it shatters and lets the ice melt away. "There. We can either move quickly or we can just rest here as if nothing happened. I'm good with either option." she says quietly, gesturing to the door.
Yawgou pops his head out of his shell momentarily. He's simply been quietly meditating in his shell, but he's continued to listen intently. "We know not where we are, nor do we know our way around this place. I think if we close the door and pretend we are still encaged, we can surprise whomever comes down here to check on us and maybe turn the tables. Should either of you wish to scout ahead, however, then do not let me stop you."
He then pops his head back into the shell to continue resting.
"If it was me locked up in a dungeon," Purrs a voice, " I would be on my way by now. But then again, I would never have allowed myself to be captured in the first place. "
Moon lounges nonchalantly on Yawgou's shell, regarding you without interest.
Yawgou will slightly wiggle in his shell in order to get the cat off of him. (OOC: How much time has passed since the the sleep spell was cast on Yawgou? Just looking to get that long rest in to replenish spell slots.)

Bear attempts to break out of the cage with her greataxe.

Sparks fly as Bear's greataxe clashes with the iron bars. When the ringing in your ears settles the iron hardly bears a scratch.

With a sharp crack the locking mechanism snaps under the pressure and the iron door creaks outward.
