Strig blinks at the giant owl creature a couple times, knowing almost nothing about magic. Looking back over the crystal he begins looking for an inscription, maybe someone scrawled the activation code on it somewhere.

"As my previous investigation of this place, meaning, before the sudden eruption of the fire and the strange vision I described, searching this place does not give us any clue or result. However, may I suggest that we search the upper leves of the building?. Before our entrance some of us saw a child in one of the windows. And we came here looking for lost childs."
The metalic cleric is waiting for the rest to investigate near the stairs.

You remember reading that arcane locks are lock's held together with a spell nullifying the spell will open the lock a key phrase is used to do this.
Dispel and knock will also do this, or any other magic nullifying effects.

You sneak up the stairs to the lobby there are 4 doors on each side and a stairway going up.
