Landrae inspects the fabric, ponders for a moment, and then admits to herself that it is a feel and design that could work for a blouse. She starts to discuss the tight fit and low cuts that she would like, with baggy sleeves that will display her arms, but hang in such a way as to allow free movement around her instruments. Stating her preference for where the floral pattern should be most visible to accentuate the cut.
((If Lily can undertake the work, Landrae will commission the work - half payment up front, and she'll collect in a span, assuming that gives Lily the time.))
"Well, that was a most useful diversion Kai." Landrae walks with a spring in her step and her smile is one of pure girlish glee. "Let's go meet up with the others - hopefully they are still at the Silver Thorn." She starts walking off in the direction with Kai.
Kai fishes in his pouch for the gp and hands it to the matron, "Thank you good, Matron. Tell me, the last time we were in this town there was some commotion. Something about creatures in the garbage dump? You know how tales can be, tales of the most horrific things and happenings. Has anything else been hear or did it turn out to be a some wild animal found its way to the dump?"
Matron L'engle refuses all offers of payment for the blouse. "It's been a long time since I had someone to make a dress for. My own daughter didn't make it past her third year. Just stop back here tomorrow and I'll have it waiting for you on the shelf."
In answer to Kai's question, she shakes her head. "Like all rumors, that one died before it got any wind behind it's sails. I've heard nothing more of it."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kai, somewhat mollified by the possible end of the monstrosity they first fought, "That is well, the world abounds with the unnatural, and I would hate for something to make this town it's lair. It is enough you have bandits along the road, and who knows what intrigue and deeds among the high born. Simple folk as us, sometimes the small village where we know everyone are more comforting, would you not agree?"

Elber smiles and waves Landrae and Kai over as they return, and gestures to the deflated Elron. "You be back just in time. Our friend here be overcome by guilt, so we be about to take him to Alais so she can hear his confession too."
"Elron?! A confession... to the watch!?" Landrae looks incredulously at Elron, and then between the coy Elf and the others, "I leave you all to go buy clothes, and the whole world crumbles apparently. Someone will have to fill me in on the walk over there then. The twist had better be interesting!"

Jack pulls Elber aside out of earshot of everyone. “Elber, I know you have a sense of justice and I respect that about you. I just don’t know if taking him to the law is the correct thing to do in this situation. The other man stole from him, ruined his business and was basically preying on him. Now I can’t say that what he did was the answer I would have chosen, but imagine yourself in his place. If someone did all of that to you, would you take him to the law or would you impose your own justice upon him?”
Jack does his best charming smile, “I have another suggestion. We work well as a team but we need contacts and we need friends that have connections. If he was to work with us giving us assistance in the form of information from his merchant acquaintances and occasionally supplying us with some of his wares...wouldn’t that be a better way for him to pay penance than sitting in a prison cell? We can do good things, we can do better things with the right people feeding us information, making introductions and supplying us when able.” Jack puts his hand on his shoulder, “Just give it some thought. We could bring much worse people in greater numbers to justice with his help. With him rotting in a cell, we get only the short term satisfaction of one person receiving justice. Plus, most everyone deserves a chance for redemption don’t you think.? If you are 100% decided on turning him over to the authorities, I will respect your decision. Or if he can’t give us what we need, of course I agree it’s the right course.”
If Duncan overhears Jack he mostly agrees. Though thinks Elber is a coward for having others deal with his problems, he can see the reason he would have wanted vengeance.
"We be hearing different tales. He be a fraud, selling the work of others at double rate while envious that his lawful partner be a greater success. He had him murdered by bandits without regret, then hired us to clean up and earn him more profit. If we be in need of friends, I would take even one Alais or Ardidd over an army of Elron."
((I assume kev meant that Elron is the coward, not Elber? Either way, now that we stand at a decision of potential contacts, I say we players just vote it out and I have no problem finding a reason for Elber to follow either result. I vote for earning some actual trust in this town by turning him in.))
((I vote to try and use him as a benefactor of sorts))
Jack will agree to Elber’s party vote. He calls over Duncan, Kai and Landrae and they both make their pitches
((no sense in drawing out the convo unless anyone wants to, which I’m fine with. My two previous paragraphs are enough talk from Jack. By the way Twoshort, if Elber would have been (or still are) 100% committed to turning him and fight to the end on that, please feel free to role play that. Conflict can be good, doesn’t always have to be a negative))
((Nah, while Elber is pretty strict, both Ardidd and Alais have made him doubt them a little, just enough so that the idea of redemption isn't impossible even for Elron.))

((oh shit dude.. yeah of course. Elron is the coward. Sorry... very early morning post earlier. Elber has done some fine fighting alongside Duncan~~))
((Oddly, I am going with Elber on this one. Elron has been less than useful when he was getting a good deal, now seeing his reasoning behind it. plan hasn't warmed to him, and she would rather build a relation with Ardidd directly. Alais is exactly the opposite, the cold captain has ground to be made, and after a series of showing her up, Lan will happily rub this in her face too. Vote for the law!))

Elber shakes his head at Jack's mention of a possible deal. "Let him first deal with Alais judgement, then we see."

Kai considers it, a friend in the town would be helpful, but we can not be parasites ourselves.
