Landrae picks up the 2nd watch from Elber, she appreciates the quiet out in the wilderness, compared to the normal tussle of city life and the constant array of noises at all hours.
The night passes without event, and the dawning sun rises over a peaceful forest. The two bandits have spent the night sullenly in a corner of the cave, kept awake by Heobo's snoring. All factors taken into account, they are not in good humor. Socrates dozed during Jack's watch but otherwise remained awake all night, reading his books by the light of the fire.
“So is the plan to make to the cart as a group w the bandits. Then pick up the Scorpion’s body and the cleric mask at camp, and then make it back here to load up a few crates and the prisoners. Then stop by and get Orlan and his men? If so, let’s get moving so we can get a hot meal and warm bed back in town after we collect our reward.”
Landrae grabs another bottle of wine as everyone is making arrangements to travel. She pops the cork and starts the morning with hair of the dog. "Aye lads, let us make outlr way back to Thithladroth. We can can take Orlan, the cleric and the scorpion back. They were the folks in charge here, the others will more than likely disperse into meager banditry, and should that be the case, we can come back for the bounty on their heads, should they not have thought better of their ways."
“We could always leave these two as food for Socrates.” says Jack with a hidden wink towards Duncan and Landrae as he points towards the two manacled prisoners. “By the way Hoebo, where did all the wildlife in the forest go? You say you’re the cook but we haven’t seen any animals, let alone any game.” Jack will ask Socrates the same question since he has shown interest in the natural order of things.
((Feel free to jump forward as we have gotten the cart and bring it back))
Duncan will ponder, while sipping from the morning bottle "I wonder who paid the Scorpion to kill Elron's compatriot...?"half to himself, but certainly loud enough for others to hear.
At Jack's inquiry Heobo begins to look uneasy. "I can't rightly say." He replies. "There was plenty of good game in the forest for the first few days and then after that... well, it disappeared. None of us, not even the boss I reckon, knows what happened to the wildlife."
Kai ponders then asks, "Do you remember which goods were his? Are they still here, or know what happened to them?"
Kai is longing for the simple life of the Forest, or predator and prey, and not this mangled ball of motives that comes with 'civilization'..

Elber takes first watch, and stays up most of the night before he taps out.

Heobo begins to doze off. "Hmm? Sorry, I (hic) can't help. I'm just the... the cook..." His hiccups are replaced by reverberating snores.

Elber is also eager to get moving. WhenWhen group reaches the cart he will tell the bandits to bugger off, preferrably in a direction away from town.

Hell, Duncan will join Lan with the wine. Gotta take advantage of it while we can still blame the bandits ^^

((Any info gained from Socrates on the wildlife missing since he is one who studies the nature of things?))
Socrates is similarly perplexed, and he has no answers to offer you.

Elber is less than bothered by all the unanswered questions, and naps on the cart.
