“Da inn is just past Barthen’s” pointing to the blue roofed building closer to the center of town

GREYSTONE

Jackson will begin leading the cart to Barthen's. "If anyone wants to move ahead to the inn to secure us lodging, then by all means! We that are going to Barthen's will meet you guys there."

Harukai continues along with Jackson and the cart, watching the passersby warily.

Sildar says "Let me check with the inn, I may be able to come to an agreement with them"

GREYSTONE

"Then it's decided!"

Jackson will make his way over to Barthen's with Harukai, Koren and Nil while Sildar secures lodging.

When they get to Barthen's: "Excuse us! We are looking to drop off this cart, courtesy of Gundren Rockseeker?"

"Is that so? Where the hell is the dwarf? He was supposed to be here to discuss our contract. I am to be the sole supplier of his expedition in the Sword Mountains and I give him all the supplies he asks for."

GREYSTONE

A look of despair befalls Jackson's face, and he sighs. "The dwarf...was taken. Ambushed and abducted. We nearly suffered a similar fate, but we happened across one of their own, who told us their tribe was referred to as the "Cragmaw," and we followed a road to one of their hideouts. We have a lead as to where he's being held, but we wanted to rid ourselves of this cart and rest a bit before heading out. It is...unfortunate."

"Brother Greystone, perhaps we should show him the contract, then inform him of the...unfortunate...circumstances regarding the Grunden's absence," Harukai offers quietly to Jackson, continuing, "Maybe he knows where we can get a good price for the bejeweled armor too."

GREYSTONE

"Good idea, Harukai." Jackson shows the contract along with the armor. "Know anywhere we can get a fair price for this?"

Barthen begins muttering to himself “Just my luck, get a decent business partner and he up and gets himself kidnapped” he takes the contract and walks to the cart, looking at the list of items and comparing them to the cart’s contents. “Looks to be in order, I’ll gove ya the 50 gold he promised to your group and take it up with him if he makes it back. You lot going to look for him?”

GREYSTONE

Jackson nods. "Indeed. He's more than just a business partner to me. He's a friend, first and foremost. We'll find him and bring him back."

Jackson will take the 50gp once Barthen reveals it. "Oh -- and the armor?"

“Good, he was a grumpy old codger but I liked him all the same. His two brothers haven’t been around in a few days either but they were working in their mining operation so maybe they are not having the same issues as Gundren, but keep an ear open for them too. I would try Linene at the Lionshield Coaster to get rid of that horrible looking armor. Her trading post is just past the town center” pointing toward the south west

“Sildar mentioned he overhead the goblins saying something about taking the dwarf to the castle,” adds Harukai, asking the shopkeeper, “Do you know anything about a castle in this area?”

Barthen scratches his chin “no, don’t know nothin about no castle ‘round Phandalin, but check around town cause other people hear more gossip than I do”

"Brother Greystone," Harukai says respectfully as he lifts the gaudy armor off the cart and prepares to leave Barthen's, "on to Linene's shop then?"

GREYSTONE

"Indeed, Harukai. Let's rid ourselves of this armor and find out what we can about this castle that may still hold Gundren prisoner."

(We make our way to Linene's. Jackson hands 10gp to each adventurer.)

KOREN

Once the cart is dropped off and gold is in hand, Koren clears her throat. "My friends, this is where we part ways. We were tasked with delivering the cart, and we have delivered it. While I would love to stay to help find Gundren, I unfortunately have more business to see to in Neverwinter. I hope we meet again. If not, then safe travels to each and every one of you!"

GREYSTONE

Jackson nods and reaches out to shake Koren's hand. "I understand. Safe travels to you, as well!"

Nephrius has been quiet whilst Jackson and Harukai were talking but she is listening carefully.
