"I'll take the second watch, then. I'll use Fortuna as my eyes - I can see through them and she excels at night hunting," states Suerte.
Suerte looks up at Fortuna and she glides down, he tells her, "Time to rest a bit until our turn to watch." Suerte dismisses her back to her pocket dimension for the time being.
Raxil pulls out a ration from his pack after get the camp site squared away. "I'll take the last watch... I suppose. Unless one of you two need a hand. These eyes ain't afraid of the dark."
"I'm also happy to take last watch. I usually get up early anyway. Rising with the sun and all."
Skye sits close to the fire, eating whatever she found while foraging for food (or roasting it). She glances over at Suerte, "So how does your owl friend work?"

"All will become equal now" | "Cause we're going to shout it loud, even if our words seem meaningless. It's like we're carrying the weight of the world"
"Well, Flute," Suerte starts, "I guess your sharing a watch with either Bane or me."
He responds to Skye, "It's a spell that they teach most mages very early on, as gaining the service of a familiar is very useful and helpful. Whenever cast or can take the shape of a small subset of, typically, tiny beats. It's a spirit animal of sorts whose energy comes from a fiendish plane, a celestial plane or the feywild. Fortuna is a celestial, herself, my tiny guardian angel."
He pauses thoughtfully before continuing, "Someone of your skills could find such a familiar useful, as familiars could also deliver spells on your behalf that would require you to touch another - like delivering one of those curative spells I've seen others of a divine calling cast. I could teach you the spell, although it would require time and materials."
Suerte eventually takes out his pan flute and starts playing a quiet, restful, piece of music.

"Huh, yeah that would be great! Usually my brother just turns into an owl if we need a lookout or something, but if I can summon one and cast with it, that'd be useful. Maybe once we have some time."
She'll settle in for bed not long after, falling asleep with out much effort.

Suerte comments to Skye, "Why are you awake? I thought you were going to take the last watch with Raxil? I don't mind really, go back to sleep, I'd be a boring watch partner anyways - I won't be able to hear you... Well, directly anyways."
Suerte settles in for his watch and summons forth Fortuna. As she rests on his arm he whispers, "Night watch patrol. My eyes and ears through yours."
Fortuna flies up to about sixty feet, settling into a practied pattern. Suerte situates himself in a meditative position. After a moment, his eyes go pale as if struck by glaucoma.
Suerte whispers to himself, "I love seeing the world through your eyes."
As he settles in for the watch, his whole body seems to give off a very, very faint, and extremely brief, glow.
There's travelers on the road approaching the camp from both directions. The group from the north have a wagon weighed with objects. The group coming from the south, from the direction of Felderwin, are on horses.

// OOC Can any details be made, size/type of the riders and wagon drivers, the colors worn by each under the moonlight (assuming there is)? Is the wagon covered, if not, what does the cargo look like? //
Suerte briefly enters his own eyes to see where everyone is and starts shaking them awake, making the silence gesture before entering back into Fortuna's eyes further describing what he sees in hushed tones, also telling them to touch his shoulder if they want him to return as he can't see or hear them as long as he's using Fortuna's senses.
Fortuna can see the wagon driver is in some sort of peasant clothes in earth tones and the passenger as well as the driver look human. The riders, however, look more uniform but with hoods up nothing else is really discernible about their appearance. They are three of them and they look bigger than say the average human with weapons on them also wearing clearly visible armor. They are dressed in blues and greens that are not fine but certainly not peasants like the wagon folk.
The camp the party made wasn't visible from the road but then the light from the fire makes it easier to spot.

"What the hells!"Raxil immediately grabs his axe and raises it to whatever just interrupted his beauty sleep. He grumbles as there is not an immediate threat and gets to the feet. He listens to the wizard's descriptions of the two parties. "So what, we're gonna rob the wagon, right?"
Bane moves having been in his trance for less than an hour looking annoyed.
"People traveling on the road oh no! What shall we do," Bane exclaims with a grimace. "It's a road of course there is going to be travelers?! Did they start coming this way or did you hear them magically say 'there's a campsite attack," he adds scowling as he gets up glaring. "Well, wizard?! What's the threat," he demands.

Flute awakens, and somewhat out of normal, agrees with Bane on the situation. "I agree with Bane, this is a road and there will be travelers on it. However since we are up now, I suppose we can take a look at who they are."

Together Rax and Wendy make a great camp just off the road. They find enough fuel for a fire building it up for the night.
