Begins to grin as Gundren speaks, and replies in a low tone, "Wonderful! I was just speaking with Prax about where something to do might show up today, and I'd love to help such a good friend as you Gundren." Thinking to himself, (I'm sure he and his brothers are good for the money, and if this pulls through maybe we are looking at a real haul.)
Looks over at the person holding Gundren's mug curiously with the attention drawn to them and attempts to contain laughter as the illusion plays out.
Nelvik gasps and sets the mug down, giving Prax an agitated glance. "Sorry about that." As Gundren walks away towards the table with Creolina, Prax and Rhaucred.
After hearing of Gundrens news, Nelvik walks towards the table. "Hello, I overheard you are worried about your supplies getting to Phandalin?" *With a grin* "It would be a shame if something would happen on the way there. I could be of assistance, let me come with you."
Gundren is excited to have secured commitment from Rhaucred and Prax. "Great! I do feel Moradin is lookin' out fer me today puttin' you all here."
Gundren turns to Nelvik and doesn't say anything but seems to be conflicted. Then struggles to say, "There has been an increase of activity on the roads and It'd be better than having just the two of them guarding it."
Gundren raises his stubby finger to point at Nelvik, "But if these two end up missin' or me wagon gets robbed I will know it was you, Nelvik! I will put everthin' I got into putting a bounty on yer head!"
Gundren then turns to everyone, "Anyway lads, I have full confidence if ye' but ye' may want to grab one or two more bodies to help ye' arrive safely. You'll each get paid 10 gold pieces each for the safe arrival of the wagon and supplies in it to Barthen's Provisions in Phandalin."
Gundren nods down to Creolina, "Maybe you can convince this one to come along?"
Gundren then looks around the room ,"And where is that druid Thaylenir! I sent a letter weeks ago asking to meet."
Gundren starts to head for the door, "Once you got your party in line meet me outside and I'll show you to the wagon."
Prax nods and smiles at Gundren “We will get right on it sir!”
Prax then turns toward the bar keep and asks “ You don’t by any chance sell simple items that I might acquire? Just a couple of bundles of 25ft rope? If not I can head to the general store.”
"I would enjoy some money. The religious life has a tendency to leave me with an empty coin pouch, which reminds me, drinks are on you tonight.. right Prax?"
The barkeep is fairly gruff human. Standing about 5'11 with a shaved head and long beard with a brass ring at the end. "Hmm, I think we got some rope in the back that comes in with the keg."
The barkeep walks back out with a coil of rope on his shoulder that is about a third of Prax's body weight. He comes around the bar and stands above the small Prax. "Here is 50 feet of hempen rope Rope, Hempen (50 feet), if you want 25 feet then cut it in half"
The barkeep tosses the rope onto the sitting Prax who wobbles slightly but is able to maintain control of the new rope and keep his seat. "That'll be one gold piece."
OOC: Please add this item to your inventory and deduct the proper gold. Also, as we have 4 people ready to go you may now exit the Tavern. If the 5th shows us I will work it into the story.
Turns from watching the exchange back to Creolina, "perfect, glad to have you aboard. I guess I'm ready to head out as well. You coming Nelvik?" I call the last part as I get up and begin heading for the door. "I don't think I'm going to catch any more flies in dice today."
As you exit the tavern you see Gundren getting onto a white horse with a braided mane. Beside Gundren is a bald human with a goatee who is already mounted onto a brown horse slightly taller than Gundrens. The human wears chain mail armor with a heavy crossbow slung across his back. Hanging at his side you spot a longsword that looks like it has been used. This human appears to be an experienced fighter of some type.
Gundren spots you and points to his left where a wagon sites with two oxen at the helm. This wagon is absolutely packed full of an assortment of mining equipment and food. This includes a dozen sacks of flour, several casks of salted pork, two kegs of strong ale, shovels, picks, and crowbars(about a dozen each), and five lanterns with a small barrel of oil(about fifty flasks in volume).
Gundren spins his horse around, "There's the wagon! I'll see ya in Phandalin in a few days time. Me escort Sildar Hallwinter and me self will be ridin' ahead to take care o' some business. Safe travels!"
With that.. Gundren and Sildar ride off south for the High Road.
OOC: If you wish to do anything before you leave now is the time. Now, I need to know your marching order and what you are doing. Who is in front? Who is bringing up the rear? At least one person needs to be driving the wagon. The rest of you can be riding in the wagon, walking alongside it, or scouting ahead as you like.
The party sets off down the High Road together. The sky is clear and overall it is a very nice and uneventful day. Along the high road you pass many travelers headed to Neverwinter. Some with carts full of goods and some empty looking to purchase wares.
Rhaucred- You notice that the Oxen seem very well trained. If you are holding the reins they go but if they feel you let go of the reins for any reason they stop immediately.
Nelvik- You walk along the road ahead of the cart and see no signs of danger.
As you travel along you notice the soon is high in the air but based on your knowledge of the area you know you will need to camp later tonight at the halfway point.
OOC: This is where you can RP as you travel. Or if you want to do anything specific like if Creolina wanted to be standing on the left side of the wagon and watching the nearest fields. Or maybe Nelvik instead of just walking ahead would like to be stealthy about it. Or maybe you want to ask the next passerby about what's coming. You have complete freedom.
However, when you make camp there will need to be 3 separate time slots where someone stands watch. Please bring this up in RP and decide who will be taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd watch. Since there are four of you, 2 people can take 1 slot if you feel maybe ones skills would make up for the other's weakness.
Prax sits in the back of the cart watching the grooves that have been cut in the road by the wagon wheels. He leans back against a bundle of pickaxes and says “are we there yet??” He then stands up in the bumpy cart and looks at Creolina “ So what’s your story?”
Seeing how well trained the oxen are, Rhaucred quickly relaxes and settles into driving. He waves and greets passing travelers and merchants and asks where they come from and what they are hauling. Hearing Prax from the rear of the cart, his ears perk up. "Yes, what brings someone of your faith to Neverwinter?, don't you usually guard temples or go on quests and crusades? "
Begins to grin as Gundren speaks, and replies in a low tone, "Wonderful! Sizing up Nelvik, "I think we can make do with him or deal with him as needed. More than happy to help my friend, we'll take care of it!."
On hearing Prax ask for rope, "I suppose we could tie him up at night, Hahaha, and its always useful to have."
Turning to Creolina, "So what might you say to a short job for some easy coin with fine comrades hmm?" *extends hand in greeting*
Prax. Please make a strength saving throw.

I’ll be in the rear with the gear
*nods* "Aye, I'm ready to go."
I'll be scouting ahead
I'll drive I guess. Unless someone else can handle animals.
I will be with the cart.
