The group piles up and sets off along the High Road. They have now turned onto the Triboar Trail which they notice seems much less traveled. Actually, you see no other travelers so far. The Trail is exactly that, a Trail which makes the wagon ride a little more bumpy and just enough room for the wagon to travel. Much of the fog has burned off but some remains.
OOC: Alright I have all four characters in the wagon. Who is sitting up front with Rhaucred?
OOC: As a decent amount of time has passed I will be invoking DM power to keep this story progressing. Nelvik please feel free to add anything you feel is important.
As you progress down the Triboar trail up ahead you spot a familiar elf ranger running down the path towards you. You recognize this Ranger as Nelvik. As he approaches he looks unharmed and has a bewildered look upon his face. "What are you all doing?! I told you to wait for me to return! There is danger ahead."
Nelvik after getting over being slightly annoyed recounts to you his recent experience. "I was sneaking up ahead not to far from here when I came upon two dead horses, one white and one brown in the road. They were peppered with arrows. The trail was wooded on both sides, I suspected an ambush. I slipped into the northern woods and luckily from afar was able to spot two goblins in wait! I dashed away as quickly as I could to warn you for what is ahead."
“If what Nelvik says is true I think we need to pull the cart off the road and approach silently on foot” Prax says.
“This would give us a chance to see if there are only two as well” says Prax. Prax grabs his spellbook and begins flipping page after page preparing for what the decision is.
*I pull the cart to a stop along the side of the trail*
In a hushed tone, "shouldn't we leave someone with the cart to make sure they dont sneak up and take off with the goods?"
"Glad to see you aren't dead by the way Nelvik, took you an awful long time to come back from such a short easy expedition though didn't it you little saltcake? Won't go worry about you again next time. Take my sweet time waking up. Whatever, let's take care of these buggers." * I dismount from the cart.
“I don’t think anyone will have to have anyone stay if we hide the cart over there” says Prax as he points toward the brush about 20 ft off the path. “We could easily cover it for now and come back later”.
Nelvik looks at Rhaucred "hah, maybe if you didn't ruin my rest I would of been 100% on my game and found all of them and killed them all myself."
Nelvik looks at Creolina "your a cute girl with thick thighs, you should go out by yourself while we watch so we can get a better idea on what we are dealing with." Nelvik continues "I don't think us sneaking will work very well, especially not all of us at once. We are bound to lose our cover probably from a phantom arrow from a rogue" Nelvik smriks and looks over at Rhaucred.

The group heeding Nelvik's warning travels along the Triboar Trail. Most of the fog has burned off but a small amount remains. The group moves the cart to the side of the ride and ties off the oxen. With Thaylenir and Nelvik's knowledge of the wood they are able to camouflage the cart effectively. Prax casts [Tooltip Not Found] to have a warning system on the cart.
At Nelvik's suggestion with no argument from the brave Creolina. The group decides to send Creolina out in front to possible act as a form of bait for the possible Ambush.
As the group rounds the bend they spot the horses. The two dead horses blocking the path, clearly an ambush site at this point and they have black-feathered arrows sticking out of them. On each sides of the road there is a steep embankment(which would count as difficult terrain) and dense thickets one either side.

Bringing up the rear, Kirec(sorry been calling Rhaucred wrong name), Nelvik, Prax, and Thaylenir sneak behind Creolina
Group Stealth Check:
Kirec 10
Nelvik 21
Prax 20
Thaylenir 9
The rear group is silent for the most part. Prax steps on a few branches but with some helpful guidance where he should step from Kirec the gnome quickly fixes his errors. You feel confident that you are fairly hidden.
In front of the group Creolina marches out defiantly but yet elegantly with her shield in one hand and longsword in the other. Creolina keeps an eye on the northern wood near the horses as that is where Nelvik told her he spotted the two goblins.
Creolina Perception: 16
From this distance and the dense thicket Creolina vision is not the best. However, she does make out the form of a goblin in a similar area to where Nelvik described. From what Creolina can see, the goblin does not seem to be making threatening movements so she believes it may not have spotted her.
Updated Map Below(Pretend the cart isn't there):
What do you do? Use the grid coords best you can to describe any movement.

Creolina, seeing the form of a goblin, raises her weapons and charges in.
OOC: if possible I would like to attack but I think I will have to make a double move? Unless I can count it as a "charge" not sure if it is a feat or not in this edition.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: Once initiative has started, yes you will be limited to your movement speed. However, since you surprised the goblin due to piss poor perception rolls on their part you will be able to get up and strike at the goblin. It does not appear that you currently have the Charger feat.
The party watches as Creolina's eyes lock onto the goblin and she charges up the embankment. As she approaches the goblins eyes go wide in surprise but it just get it's shield up just in time to deflect the blow. Creolina is now at E,11.

As Creolina strikes the shield she hears guttural screams around her. She recognizes this as more goblins but is unable to determine where they are coming from.
Suddenly another Goblin(blue for sake or targeting) charges out from the southern thicket with a scimitar in one hand and a [item]shield] in the other. It moves to F,11 and strikes out at Creolina but the experienced Paladin deflects the below off her shield.

Nelvik seeing that the goblins took the bait have attacked Creolina the Ranger moves into Action.
Nelvik uses his movement to move to E,0 giving him clear line of sight of the Blue Goblin at F,11. Nelvik raises his Longbow and looses an arrow(Nelvik please deduct 1 arrow from your inventory. Remember after the battle you can recover 50% of arrows fired)
Attack: 18 Damage: 6
Nelviks arrow sails through the air striking the Blue Goblin in the side. The Blue Goblin is DEAD.
The Yellow Goblin will retaliate against Creolina with its Scimitar.
Attack: 21 Damage: 8
The Yellow Goblin is shaken from seeing it's comrade be shot down in one hit causing it to swing wide which glances off Creolina's armor.
*a gruesome expression passes over Rhaucred's face as he hears of the dangerous creatures*
"We need to get moving fast then," *Rhaucred kicks out the fire and puts a last pack on the cart. He then climbs up into the driver's seat again.
" Grumpy or not, he stood by us last night and I won't leave him to that fate. Do you know a good way to approach Thaylenir?"
" Holding out a hand* "Climb on up. You too Prax, Creolina."
Prax grabs the hand of Rhaucred. “Onward! We mustn’t fail Nelvik”

I will ride up front with Rhaucred while looking intently for signs of Nelvik
Creolina will ride in the back.

If you are approaching stealthily on foot I will need everyone to roll a stealth check. Are you going to sneak down the road or do anything special?
"Are we sure we should all abandon the cart?" asks Creolina.
Prax scratches his head and says “I have a spell just for this occasion!”
*Prax casts alert in a circle around the cart*
“now if anything gets close I will be alerted” Prax says.
