Keluzur watches as his companion finishes off the giant with a mighty leap and takes a step back, his face now drenched in sweat and the blades of his battleaxe covered in the gore and meat of the undead giants. With the way they rushed in, he was glad they didn't end up killed or worse. He noticed during the fight some of his friends were getting pummeled and he would have done something for them were it not for the fact that he was in the heat of the battle. A tang of regret hits him as he drops his axe and places a gauntleted hand on Cleft's shoulder. "Well done," he said with a nod, "that was a mighty couple of swings you gave that giant. Didn't see it coming." turning to the others, he picks up his battle axe and and drops it into his belt-loop. "How is everyone doing? Anybody injured?"

Garrus will jog over to the giants corpses, taking a glance at the army in the distance, he gets to work. He's relieved to see that someone is taking the chance to get a better look, but he wants to check the body's of the giants.
First, he'll examine their exterior, checking their clothing and body to find anything of value, information or material wise. Investigation: 17
Cleft would quickly look around as his wounds begin to close before spotting Volgiah and giving them a nod. "Thanks friend!" He would say with a bloody smile before placing his axes across his back. Hearing the compliment, He would shift his bloody smile to Suneni. "It was nothing! you were great too!" He would say before coughing up some blood.

Ogged, the fires in the undead giants begin to extinguish before your eyes as all traces of life, unnatural or otherwise, leave their tortured bodies.
Suneni, you gain a sturdy tree limb but the giants are a good two miles distant, and you are unable to make out details regarding numbers or equipment. You can see that they are only a few hours march from the city, located atop a rock-strewn hill.
Garrus and Ogged, investigating the bodies you find two sacks the size of a human man. Among scraps of melted armor and dented weapons which you assume passes for fire giant currency, you find several large obsidian stones (6) and manage to extract a number of gold coins amounting to 108.
Garrus distributes the money giving 16 GP to everyone, then passing the remaining 3 to Ogged, Cleft & Volgiah. After which, he pockets 3 of the stones and attempts to open on of the sacks.
Keluzur takes the gold and thanks Garrus, taking a moment to put the coins in his pouch and pat it in place. His eyes then shift over to the corpses, watching as the fire dies out. Strange things those, he wonders to himself and wonders what sort of creature brought them back from the dead. What sort of magics would be strong enough to have done that? He supposed they'd find out soon enough. "Suneni, what do you see up there?" He calls out to her.

Cleft will take the gold and slip it into his pouch. "Do you think we need to rest a bit? or push forward towards the city?" The centaur will say breathing hard.

Oggéd says
Well i don't know if we would be safe resting here without some sort of arcane protection. I do not want to be caught with my trousers down by a giant, that's for sure.
Volgiah nods in appreciation toward the others and gratefully accepts the gold. She waves back toward Cleft, her smile slightly faltering at the sight of bloodied teeth.
"What about that city they were heading toward? How far do you all reckon we are from it?"
She crouched down, yelling a quick response to Kelzur. "Two miles from here. They're probably only a few hours from Djerard Thymar, hard to say how many are in that war party. We need to get closer before making a call." If they ever found a shop that wasn't ravaged by undead giants, the first thing she was going to do was get her hands on a spyglass. Then maybe an unreasonable amount of ball bearings, just for fun, Suneni leapt down from the tree, walking back towards the group. It seemed like the best plan of action would be to follow for aways and get a better read on the situation. She was all for rushing into battle head first, but if they were outnumbered ten to one, it would probably be smarter to flank around to get into the city and help from the inside. She glanced at the pair of giant corpses, a frustrated sigh escaping her. "May Bahamut show no pity on these monsters," she muttered, tapping her foot impatiently to get moving again.

Volgiah puffs up at Ogged's question; a golden amulet set in the shape of a sun shines brightly in contrast to the duller grey of her chain mail.
"I, my friend, am a proud servant of the Dawnfather, or Lathander as he may be more commonly known through out the lands. I think I can see where you are going with this, but no I do not have any holy water on me. Its been a too long since I'd last been to a temple."
Garrus stands up and walks over, having completed his search of the bodies. His hood & mask are pulled up hiding most of his face, save his eyes, "We should head back to the boss. Staying out here isn't smart."
Matriarch Anala currently resides in Djerad Thymar. The war has not gone in favor of the Alliance, and the last of the resistance has gathered in Djerad Thymar for a final stand.
A cloud momentarily obscures the moon, plunging you all into total darkness. The faint lights of Djerad Thymar glitter gold in the distance, outlined by the smoldering red emanating from the fire giant army.
Oggéd's heart sinks as he sees the shear numbers of the enemy.
Well that looks like Djerad Thymar there. Aslo, eh.. Looks like a lot of shit out there around the city. It will be a fight we may not live through. If that means I expire, please remember me not as a criminal.
again tears come to his eyes.
They will smash into the city like waves on rock. But how long will their strength hold, how long will they last, and how long do we have to make any difference? For even water can destroy stone.
He turns to look at the rest of his party, the tears have stopped and a very serious look across his face. He locks eyes seemingly with all of you.

Suneni folded her arms, huffing. "The fastest way? Well, other than a straight shot... damn, it would be ideal if we had horses. Gimme a second to think."

Ah yes ze capitol! I lost ze direction we were heading after fighting zees smelly ********!
Oggéd nearly vomits from the stench of the rotting corpses.
But I must say, not a bad fight for our first one together. Now at least for my self I know what I need to purchase to help.
ponders for a moment scheming something.
