Lafetha notices the bioluminescent fungus nature18 to see if she knows anything about this fungus/has seen it before/know if there are any uses from it.

Group:
Lafetha, you look around for a moment. The growing fungus is a kind that you've seen in caves and underground passageways before. Happens to grow where the environment is damp and there's enough decaying matter. It's edible, with a slight sour taste to it.
As you turn to begin heading down the hall with Diadochi, you glance at river. Most likely you believe the small shadows to be some kind of carniverous fish. Fall in, and they're likely to begin attacking and rending whatever happens to fall in there. It's also when you recognize the other glow in the water. Some kind of water plant. In that moment is when it's vines burst out of the water and towards you. Luckily, you're not caught off guard.
(Everyone, roll Initiative)
Murderous Drowning Plant: 8
Yaalin:
Having found that path, you begin to set out. Climbing and heading over the harsh terrain of the Widowpeaks. There's no real paths. And what few paths you find are either along routes that seem impassible or build for animals. Not tortles. Still, the first day comes and goes without incident. The next, you still seem to be following the same few markings you notice.
It's about mid-day when you hear a loud whistle. Similar to the ones the goblins used to alert others or call for reinforcements. There's also a heavy sound of.. something. But you don't quite see anything from your current vantage point.
Yaalin pauses at the Whistle, this isn't the approach she was going to use but the goblins might be a good source of information. At the sounds the perks up trying to concentrate on where and what it is (( Guidance )) and slows slightly so as not to spook any locals she might be inadvertently threatening.
You stop and listen. The sounds becoming a bit clearer after taking a moment to concentrate. The sounds of some kind of creatures, but their pace is irregular. Like missing a step or two. The sounds of armored feet echoing around, along with something.....
The sound is broken as a small herd of mountain goats burst over the horizon at you. One not knowing you're there as it leaps and lands (DC 12 DEX Save v 12 bludgeoning damage). You notice goblin wolf riders moving into a flanking position as they attempt to chorale the sheep. But you don't think all the goblins, or whoever these two goblins are with, has crossed over the ridge yet. But you do find yourself in the crossfire of some angry wilderness and others.
Group:
Round 1 (Begin)
Setup: You all find yourself on the sidewalk by the rapidly moving river. The faint lights of the mushrooms and whatever is in the actual water giving a bit of ambiance. Tentacles pour out of the water, and begin to lash about. (5 attacks). The bodies of these creatures seem rather deep into the river, their actual location a smidge distorted from the water.
Cora: Looks around and takes the defense action, waiting to see what they do.
Murder plant, three tentacles whip over to Lafetha, attempting to grab her. One Tentacle moves over to Cora. One Tentacle launches at Diadochi. (If Hit. Each attack make a STR Save DC 12 to resist being pulled into the water. If fail, pulled into water and can make a STR/Athletics or DEX/Acrobatics, DC 12, as your action to get free and use your movement to pull yourself out. Otherwise, begin to get constricted + drown) Lafetha Vine Attack: 13 Damage: 3 Lafetha Vine Attack: 15 Damage: 1 Lafetha Vine Attack: 5 Damage: 3 Diadochi Vine Attack: 14 Damage: 4 Cora Vine Attack: 12 Damage: 2

Abigail Wildcat of the Sea internal decision roll: 3 ("I have between 6 and 7 lives left." = 1; "Huh, carnivorous aquatic vegetation. Not something you see everyday... Well, lets keep moving folks." = 4)
"Hey, guys, how about we not play with the aquatic vegetation. We are, after all, trying to be quiet, and fighting this thing could blow our cover."
Abigail uses Disengage and moves south down the path away from the water ((Area 8, I believe)), but stays within an easy distance to get back to her allies if needed ((about 20 feet or so)).

Yaalin turns. The mountain goat lands, followed by a few others. The two wolf riders continue to move around, each spinning to keep the goats contained. Unfortunately, Yaalin finds herself in the middle. The larger goats begin to stamp their feet, agitated and now feeling cornered.
What does Yaalin do?
Round 1 (Summary): Vines shoot out from the water. Cora gets into a defensive stance, not having a reach weapon on hand. The vines move, lashing out. Two manage to strike Lafetha (4 total), trying to drag her into the water. Lafetha manages to pull herself free, while Diadochi and Sim both stab at the vines. The vines fall over, wiggling on the ground. Bouncing and coiling.
Round 2 (Begin): The vines seem to slump over, as if their energy is spent. Slowly coiling and moving back into the water. Another (3) vines spray out of the water.
Cora glances over to Abigail and then to the new set of vines that rise out of the water. "She's right. We can't waste time on this thing." She begins to head down the tunnel (double move)
The Eight vines launch towards the group. Three fly at Diadochi. Two head to Cora. One head to Lafetha, Sim, and Abigail. (If hit, DC 12 STR save per hit v being pulled into the water. STR/Athletics or DEX/Acrobatics, DC 12 to break free as your action. Still have to move to get out of the water) Diadochi Attack: 24 Damage: 6 Diadochi Attack: 5 Damage: 1 Diadochi Attack: 20 Damage: 3 Cora Attack: 15 Damage: 1 Cora Attack: 13 Damage: 3 Sim Attack: 15 Damage: 3 Abigail Attack: 20 Damage: 4 Lafetha Attack: 8 Damage: 3
