Ganathor grunts, taking the blow. He uses his stone's endurance to reduce the damage by 13 and ignores the blow completely (otherwise he would've been unconscious, which would've been awkward as the one who suggested the mission)
Wraith snarls at the Ice Mephit, "Blasted imp! Return from whence you came!" Wraith calls upon the powers of his patron, The Burning Blade, to destroy the Mephit. Wraith's body is briefly outlined in a shroud of eerie flames, his eyes burn with an emerald light, & his pale hair flutters in a supernatural wind. A lance of emerald energy flies from his hand to strike the mephit.
(Uh oh...Do we have to worry about an up-and-coming young Gul'Dan here? :P)

Back at the camp, Kalahari turned to Wilfred. "Oh! Well, for the most part, I just make the gestures and say the words, then the gods provide. A few of my spells need components. Like a bit of holy text, or lodestones." She paused, digging around in her small velvet pouch before pulling out a pair of small gray stones, almost like large smooth marbles. "With a minute or so and these little guys, I can fix most small objects." She tucked them back in the pouch and pulled the drawstring shut.
"Hm? Oh, ah... I guess I am a little curious!" she said. "The only other healer I've known is Galahut, and he was a cleric like I am. I only know the basics of healing without magic, so I've never met someone who does it without any at all." She smiles, laughing awkwardly. "I guess, what I'm tryings to say is—I'm really impressed!"

“Well, make sure to keep those handy then, and I’m sure we can clear some space for you to stash your other components as necessary.” At her nervous explanation, he chuckles drily and adds: “Growing up in war camps, I learnt two things early on- I’m not chosen by any gods to act as vessels for their will”, pointing to a brutal scar hidden by his red woolen neckerchief, “and the one able to patch people back up is often more important than the one doin’the sunderin’. Never was the strongest , tallest or most skilled with a sword, but I got by, dodging most blows and survivin’ those I didn’t. I been in many fights, but I wasn’t made for that either. Instead, I saw that I could fix people up, an’ ‘fore long, soldiers on death’s door were brought to me, as a last chance when the priests wouldn’t or couldn’t do anythin’ for’em any more. Got to know the human anatomy pretty well, and got used to the guts and the stench of it all, worse than a battlefield, for your fighting death itself. But I found that cursin’ often helped me more than prayers.” Finishing, half for fear of getting carried away, he pulls out his flask, and takes a big sip of a potent smelling type of mead, before wordlessly offering the flask to Kalahari, as an invitation to drink or to keep on talking. Holding out his flask, he also strains his hearing to find out if anything is happening close by to the camp, trying to hear any approaching figures or nearby fighting, despite the heavy snowstorm.
I’m rolling a CON check to see if Wilfred is getting drunk. 19
Here’s his Perception check. I’m rolling with disadvantage since Wilfred is drinking booze and in the middle of a snowstorm. 17
(I made a mistake with the dice roll at first, thinking I’d have to roll two dice for disadvantage, that’s why the dice roll is modified, just for transparency’s sake )

OOC - just going to go ahead and rp Xerlax action for the sake of time.
Not affected by the Mephit’s cold attack, Xerlax turns and charges toward the icy creature - leaping at his foe with his shield pushing forward with his left hand only to pull it back revealing the warhammer headed for contact from the right.
Attack: 5 Damage: 10
After landing his blow, Xerlax maintains a defensive stance with his shield at the ready to protect those around him.
Wraith's attack is enough to shatter the mephit, the flames of his patron blazing around him. The mephit shatters, throwing shards of ice everywhere.
[I'm sorry, this is another dex save.] Ganathor, Guthric, and Wraith must make a DC 10 Dexterity saving throw or take 3slashing damage.
Wilfred sees nothing out in the storm, though the alcohol does warm him somewhat. His years of drinking have helped him build up a bit of a tolerance to the drink.
[I think I'll be using these rules for drunkenness. I saw 'em one day and I knew I'd need them eventually. Today is that day. Since it's vague, I'll just say that once you fail a save, you gain those negative effects and begin making saves for the next stage. Currently, Wiflred is still Sober and making saves for Buzzed.]
(Sounds good, and a shame that I didn’t choose to resolve the actions in the opposite order, but fitting that Wilfred’s fairly resistant to getting drunk)

Dex Save 13
After the combat, Wraith will exam the tree that served as the Mephit's lair more closely to see if any loot could be found from victims not as capable as ourselves.
Guthric looks over the injuries of the party and assesses potential to continue, "Those too injured to continue should head back. If we find we're just pissing in the wind, we can't afford to be slowed down." His axe head rests over his shoulder, his shield held against the wind.

Nothing of note is in the mephit's "lair," though a familiar object catches your eye. A small orb, almost identical to the one that you pulled out of the orc in the camp, lies in the snow beneath the tree. The only difference is the spiderweb of cracks through it, and it doesn't take a spell or a trained eye to tell you that the magic that was in it has long since been leached from the orb. It sits on top of the snow, the only speck of color against a white background.
Wilfred catches sight of something out of the corner of his eye, though he can't be sure.
[Wilfred, make a Wisdom (Perception) check with disadvantage, on account of the heavy snow.]
Although not hearing anything but the howling winds, Wilfred feels abpresence, as if something was watching him, and felt likethere was something moving just out of view.

Straining his eyes to pierce the darkness and the snow, he signs for Kalahari to go queit, and puts his flask away, focused again on the world outside.
