Mulligan follows everyone else quietly down the steps, and is surprised to discover that his big, clumsy feet aren't making near as much noise as they normally do for some weird reason.
Mulligan will not carry a torch, he will rely on the light from Odo and Ajax, and keep an eye out for attacks on whatever side they're holding the torches on.
Following the stream inside the cave, the party sees a few uneven stone steps that lead up into on the east side of the passage. The cave narrows to a steep fissure at the far end, and is filled with the stench of animals. Savage snarls and the sounds of rattling chains greet your ears where three wolves are chained up just inside the opening. Each wolf's chain leads to an iron rod driven into the base of a stalagmite.
The wolves are chained in area 3. Seeing you, the wolves begin to snap and snarl, straining at their chains. What do you do?
ooc: are we able to see what's inside apart from the wolves? I mean, are we able to see if that chamber is a dead end or if it leads somewhere else (north, more eastern, above, below)? e.g. it seems from the image that there is path north, maybe I am wrong
Ajax talks with the others, paying attention that the wolves' chains are not so long to reach them:
All this barking will attact attention, do we have enough food to silence them?mh..
Ajax: Yes, you can see a path leads further ahead, though you can't tell how much further. The room the wolves are in narrows at the back, with a lot of stone rubble piled up. To see clearly, you'd have to move into the cave.
As you stand there debating, the wolves begin to snap and snarl, straining against their chains even more, and you see one of the iron bars give slightly.
Kyanite fishes in his pocket for a bit of and with a few mumbled phrases creates a wolf twice their size standing with a snarl of its lips. Minor Illusion
The wolves, seeing the giant wolf, stop snarling for a moment and begin sniffing the air. In a few moments, their snarling resumes, and they continue to strain at their chains. The closest one to the door begins to become frenzied, planting its feet and pulling against the chain around its neck.
"I'm no strategician... But if these dogs keep making noise it won't end well for us..."
Odo steps forward, just out of reach of the beast pulling out its chain and thumps it soundly on the head with his staff, trying to knock it unconscious. (Non lethal dmg). Should it work he will do the same to the others.

Ajax agrees with Odo and understands these wolves must be put silence: he gets close to the most active one and , keeping himself out of its rech, he attacks it with non lethal damages

Ajax and Odo attack the nearest wolf. Odo's first swing with his staff connects with a loud whump on the wolf's head. Odo swings again, but the wolf dodges the staff. Ajax steps up and misses with his first swing, but connecting solidly on the second. The wolf is severely injured, but becomes even more ferocious in his attacks. The other wolves are now snarling and lunging, the iron bars holding their chains in the ground straining, then finally popping loose.

after some seconds, with eyes wide open
Or will they enjoy some goblin's meat?
Kyanite looks at them... "Maybe a bigger wolf will shut them up?

"I think we're better off going with the bigger wolf. If I were a wolf, I'm not sure I'd be into eating goblins..."
Ooc: just in case, because of my feat, if an enemy enters my reach 10 feet, I have a reaction attack
