As the others head back to the shrine, Delg and Melkias head for the Miner's Exchange. As you enter, a human woman is behind the counter. She is dressed in all black and looks you both up and down. She nods and says, "Welcome to the Miner's Exchange. How can I help you?"
Though she appears fairly innocuous, you note the various nicks and old scars on her hands and you catch the glint of light off of at least 3 knives hidden beneath her clothes. Her demeanor is not threatening, but she is certainly more dangerous than she appears at first glance.
"Well, who is this lovely cup of tea before me? My name is Melkias Longfoot, and I would like to discuss a business deal involving the reallocation and reacquisition of certain valuables....but we could always start off with a drink..."

Delg lets Melkias reach the counter first, moving to the side. He pretends to be busy laying out the jewels and jewelry in his hand, but is using that as a cover to keep his eyes on the woman's hands.
The woman snorts at Melkias' words. "I don't have time for pretty words," she says flatly. As Delg starts laying out the goods, her tone changes a bit. "I do, however, have time for business," she says with a slight smile. She reaches under the counter and pulls out some sort of glass. "May I?" she asks, gesturing to the gems.
Delg - you see a hint of respect in her eyes as she nods slightly. She leans over and places the glass at her eye and looks over the pieces critically. After a few moments, she straightens back up. "Nice pieces," she says. "You must be the ones everyone is talking about - the ones who drove off the Redbrands." She pauses, then says, "I can give you 130 gp for the lot. Deal?"
Melkias looks over-dramatically offended, a slight smirk on his face.
"Come now, miss. These pieces are remarkable, one of a kind! These pieces could sure sell for 250 or more! But, as I haven't a lot of time here - more Redbrands to clear out and all - I could part with the lot for 200 gold and a smile."

She looks over at Melkias thoughtfully, eyes narrowing. "I'm sure you can appreciate that the market here is rather small for items such as these. I will have to take them into Waterdeep or Neverwinter to even find a buyer who can afford them." She pauses, tapping her finger on her chin. "How about 150gp?"
"Very well, lass. While I understand the frugality, I only hope that when you make your small fortune from our wares, you'll pay it forward on our next run. Delg, go ahead and collect the money. When your finished, follow me. We must meet with Ajax and the others as soon as possible so we may proceed with our next heroic exploit!"
With a swish of his cloak, he exits the shop.

Delg watches Melkias leave, then looks back at the woman and shrugs.
"I don't know you and you don't know me."
He closes his hand and turns it over, hovering higher in the air. The other hand stays flat on the counter and just moves a little closer to her.
"At the same time? And not saying you would, but I have had others think I couldn't count that high. I can. The good news is you won't need to think about us for some time."
She smiles thinly and gives a slight nod. She reaches under the counter and counts out the gold as you watch. She makes no attempt to cheat you. After gathering the 150gp, she places them in a small pouch and pushes them towards you, her hand still on the pouch. "On 3?" she says with a slight smirk, and then begins counting. "One, two, three." On three, she releases the pouch and reaches for the gems. As you complete the exchange, she gestures with her head at the door Melkias just left from. "Interesting friend you've got there."
As Delg turns to leave, she says with a smirk, "Looking forward to it."
Delg and Melkias head back towards the shrine to meet up with the rest of the party.

"I am. Coins can wait til we are on the road." He looks the shrine over, gives it a little nod. "You didn't notice anyone taking an interest? Any one we might have to deal with on the way."

Delg pretends to scan the shop and glances at Melkias to see if he's noticed.

Melkias enters and eyes the woman up and down.

"I do the holding. He does the talking. You do the possible buying. And the not stabbing."

Delg drops them into her hand as he grabs hold of the pouch.
"Everyone has their uses. That I am sure you know. Just a matter of seeing what."
He slides the pouch into his backpack and nods at her.
"Nice doing business. Maybe next time I'll be buying."
He heads out to find the others.

I see my prayers are already bringing us luck, aren't they? Are we ready to leave?
