Ajax - you take over the watch from Mulligan. You sit, alert, watching, as the first pinks of dawn begin to show in the sky. The sun begins to rise and you wake the rest of the party, ready to set off again on your travels.

Melkias stretches as he wakes up, grabbing his pack and such and fitting it perfectly to his body. After combing his hair and using a damp cloth to clean himself up a bit, he is ready to start the day.

Melkias leads the party, stopping every now and again for small rest breaks. As you continue northward, you skirt the edge of the Neverwinter Forest. Though you've all heard stories about the strange creatures that supposedly inhabit the woods, the day's travel is free of any surprises. The day is unseasonably warm and you are all coated with a fine sheen of dust and sweat. Nearing dusk, you all begin to look around for a suitable camping spot. You find a small stand of trees with a clearing in the middle that looks good - especially as it is a ways away from the edge of the forest. You begin to set up camp for your second night.
((Let me know who is taking watches and in what order))
You sit by the fire, washing off the grime as the rest of the party readies for sleep. You finish your primping and settle in for the rest of your watch. As you gaze around the area, your mind on other things, you notice movement in the distance. Your eyes narrow, focusing in on the location, and as you do, you realize that something is headed your way. Something large - boar? bear? You're not sure. As these thoughts are rushing through your mind, you realize you also hear something - a screeching sound that is steadily growing louder.
Melkias takes out his lute, and begins lightly strumming a song, a calming minuet. He stays on the alert for this incoming set of beings, ready to switch tunes to a jarring bolero in order to wake his companions should the danger be real.

Melkias - as you strum your lute, watching the movement in the distance, the rustling gets closer and the screeching gets louder. Suddenly the beast breaks through the cover of the bushes, and you see it lumbering towards the camp. It is the size of a bear, but its mouth is a beak - gaping open and the source of the screeching. Its eyes gleam, and it heads straight for you. ((It is about 100 ft away at this point))

Delg and Ajax - you startle awake, something having roused your from your slumber. You hear Melkias' lute, but as you sit up, you hear a loud screeching noise nearing the camp.

Ooc : I propose melkias in front because of his stealth, then Ajax then Delg then Mulligan
Yeah, Mulligan toward the back to help protect the squishies.
Before they set off, Delg does Blessing of the Forge on his Warhammer. (+1 bonus to attack and damage rolls)
He also gives everyone 30 gp from the sale.
Melkias - if you are taking point, make a nature or survival check - your choice.

Delg will take second watch this time.
I'd say like last night
((Delg is second - who is taking first watch?))
(Melkias will take first, as he has to prim himself up a bit)
Melkias sets up camp, and gets a fire going.
"You all get some rest. Tomorrow, we continue of to fame and fortune! Delg, I shall wake you once i've cleaned myself up a bit."
He damps a rag and begins meticulously washing off the dirt and sweat from his body and clothes.
