Delg nods, turning to catch Ajax's eye and motion for him to keep watch on the top of the tower. He shifts his grip on his warhammer and follows after Reidoth, shaking his head at the sound of his armor.
Motioning the party to go in front of him now that the tower is in sight, Reidoth rolls his eyes at all the clanking and rustling. "So, no element of surprise, then," he mutters sarcastically under his breath.
Delg & Mulligan: You know the party is making more noise than is advisable, but there doesn't seem to be anyone taking notice of it. You get no sense of anything moving around in the area.
Delg - you don't see anything in the area around the cottage that looks like someone (or something) has been in it recently. However, you do see, looking up from behind the cottage, that a large section of the roof of the tower is missing. The opening in the roof is certainly large enough for a dragon. As you stand there, silently, you do hear a faint sound. It's rhythmic, though faint. You recognize it as the sound of a large creature breathing.
"Keep your eyes on the top of the tower. Let us know if he sneaks out. We still have to find the way in. Even knowing which direction he is facing when he appears will be of use."
((Is there a doorway in the tower or does it look like we'll have to go thru the cottage?))
((There is no visible entry into the tower. The only doors you see lead into the cottage.))
"If he leaves the tower, I'm sure we'll see him," Reidoth says grimly. "Hopefully we encounter nothing dangerous in the cottage, but if so . . ." he trails off and you see a faint glow of green magic dancing around his fingertips.
"You wouldn't happen to have any way to bring the tower down on the dragon, would you?" Mulligan asks, even though he's pretty sure he already knows the answer.
Frowning at Mulligan, Reidoth shakes his head. “If it were that simple, I’d have done it before now,” he says grimly. He gestures at the cottage door. “Shall we?”
Ajax opens the door. The interior of the cottage is dark, the only light spilling in from the open doorway. Inside, all that is visible is some dilapidated furniture covered in webs. Off to the east, there is another door visible just at the edge of the light.

Delg moves toward the door to the cottage. If it's open, he'll peer in.

He'll circle around, seeing if the cottage shows signs of being used. Going to assume the dragon doesn't fit in there, so seeing if he has company.

Delg slides back slowly to the rest and whispers. "Think I hear him. Something large, breathing in the tower. Must be sleepin, or laying in wait."
Reidoth motions towards the tower and nods. “We should go in quietly, if he is still unaware,” he says.
Ajax approaches the others, muttering a small prayer under his teeth
"If we're planning on being quiet, maybe I should be toward the back?"

Delg will cast Aid on himself, Mulligan, and Ajax. You both get 5 added to your max HP and your current HP for the next 8 hours.
