A thorough search of the room on the part of Viaya and Zakon reveals a few bits of information. There are no more zombies to be found in the room itself. However, considering that there are six beds and you've only killed 5 zombies thus far, it's a fair bet to say that there may be more lurking in the temple. A quick observation of the beds reveals several bloodstains, where the acolytes were probably killed in their sleep-induced state. The blood is dried and old, indicating whatever happened occurred several years, if not decades ago.
So, short rest or long rest?

You're barricading the door, so no time factor involved. A bit unorthodox sleeping in a temple while you know there may be other things lurking about, but hey, that's what makes these things fun.

Dragging the last of the zombie bodies into the hall after retrieving her daggers, Viayalooked up as Kelvinspoke. Glancing up and down the hall before stepping back into the room and closing the door behind her. "I doubt whatever affected this lot will bother us. They seem to have suffered more from a blade to a throat than a botched ritual. And one of us will be keeping watch, just in case. Help me barricade the door will you?"

Zakon will help Viaya barricade the door. "The lass is right, Kelvin. And we need a rest before we end up like these poor bastards here. I've slept in worse places," he says with a grin at Kelvin. "Besides, if we set a watch, we shouldna get caught sleeping, aye?"
"I suppose you're right,"Kelvin says, smiling at the two rogues' enthusiasm. He'll set about helping prepare the party for rest, unwrapping his bedroll with an uneasy glance at the beds. "I'm happy to take whatever watch you guys want me to, I don't think I'm going to sleep too soundly tonight either way...And, thank you Theodore."

Viayaflashes Zakona grateful smile at his support and the two of them make quick work out of barring the door. The elf settling down with her back against it when they're done. Not bothering with getting out her bedroll though she does rifle through her pack for some rations. Offering some to Zakon if the gnome is hungry before glancing up as Kelvinspeaks. "I'm happy to take first watch alone." She shrugs. "I don't need as much sleep as the rest of you and I doubt any I get will be restful either." She looks down and shakes her head with a sigh, massaging the shoulder where she was struck still. The soreness is lingering. "I still can't believe Ruggero ran like that, in the middle of battle. I didn't peg him as the cowardly type." And she was usually far better at pegging people honestly. No matter how short the time she'd known them. She looked to Kelvinagain, head tilting. "Weren't the two of you friends?"

Zakon shakes his head at Viaya's offer of rations with a smile. "I'm gonna get some shut eye first - wake me for the second watch,"he says, laying down on the floor with his pack for a pillow. He starts snoring almost immediately.
On mobile traveling right now (happy Easter/Pesach that’s any of yours thing), gonna edit in the colors later because it’s infuriating on mobile 😅
Kelvin shakes his head, eyes downcast slightly. “I wouldn’t have called us friends...”he begins thoughtfully. “Oh we were friendly enough, but I only knew him a short while longer than you three. A piece of mutual safety I guess. Saved my skin getting out of Kolovoro, frozen hells I didn’t peg him as a coward...” Kelvin’s eyes shift slightly uncomfortably as he curses; he’s all too aware of the hypocrisy of damning Ruggero’s flight after running away himself from his home in Clifnalia to avoid conscription. He pauses, internally voicing a silent hope that the dwarf finds his way. Watching Zakon curl up in his bedroll and Theo passed out where he sat, Kelvin meets Viaya’s eye, smiling slightly. “Third watch it is.”
Kelvin lays out his bedroll far in the corner, bunching it up so as to remain slightly propped up towards the door as he sleeps. It is a good while before he stops tossing and turning and lies still. It is an even longer while before he drifts off into a fitful sleep.
Since everyone is doing watches solo, you're free to RP anything you consider important (dreams, thoughts, ideas, etc.). Otherwise, I can fast-forward as needed.

Viayanods at Kelvin'swords, returning his smile before watching as he joins the rest of her companions in sleep. Theoand Zakonsleeping with a heaviness she both admires and envies, while the sorcerer tosses and turns quite a bit until finally managing to settle. The room is quiet after that. The temple is quiet around them. If she listens hard enough over the breathing and in some cases snoring of the others, the elf imagines she can hear the noises of the forest beyond both. Wind through tree branches and the movements of small night animals. She meditates for a time, focusing on her surroundings and nothing else. Avoiding thoughts of home with a singular kind of desperation until she is too tired to do any thinking at all. Viayashaking Zakonawake a little more than five hours later so he can take second watch. Hers having been long enough that Theoshouldn't have to take one at all. The orcneeds sleep more than most of them after taking the brunt of the zombie's ire. Curling up to the right of the door with her pack as a pillow and Zakonon watch, Viayafinds herself slipping into sleep much more easily than she expected and doesn't stir until morning.
Happy belated Easter yous! ;) Hope you got where you were going safe and had fun jsmall.
Zakon started awake as Viaya shook him gently. He blinked, then remembered where he was. He smiled at Viaya. "Thank you, lass. Rest now." He watched her as she squirmed to get comfortable, then closed her eyes. He looked over at the other two, another yawn cracking his jaw. He settled in for his watch, listening intently at first to familiarize himself with the sounds of the building. Once he was satisfied he'd hear anything unusual, he let his mind wander. It had been a couple of strange days. The attack by the Valcimonian soldiers seemed like a lifetime ago. With the discovery that all the sleepers had been turned into zombies, they were once again left with more questions than answers. Finding a cure for poor Vall seemed unlikely, since the spelled sleepers were dead. And who killed them? And why turn them into zombies afterwards? Was there something here worth killing for? His mind went round and round in circles, getting nowhere. With a heavy sigh, he cleared his mind. He wasn't going to solve the problem sitting here, so it would wait. He only hoped Vall could, as well. He sat unmoving for several hours, then quietly woke Kelvin for his turn on watch. He headed back to his own pack, letting his eyes close and waiting for sleep to claim him.

Theo is out of healing spells until a long rest, but he's got some HP back. Fine with whatever you all decide. Is the time factor crucial?
