Scupper, you cast shape water and fortunately the soup in the cookpot is still very thin, and is close enough to water for the spell to take effect. The watery soup monster raises its head and starts to menace the chef, who is momentarily distracted from Dekhan.
Seeing the plan come into action Incantis darts forward, withdrawing his more quiet dagger from under his robes. Placing a hex on G10, the warlock slashes the greenskin's throat.
Incantis stalks silently forward, drawing his dagger and preparing to strike.
Everyone roll initiative please.
Note that other than Incantis you're not necessarily in combat and Dekhan please still make your Deception check and we'll see how things play out in the banquet hall. However, we will go to turns and initiative.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Goblin 11 and 12s' Insight: 912 (Average 5 - almost, but not quite!)
Dekhan, the two goblins, though you are at point blank range, take aim with their shortbows.
(So combat has also started for Dekhan with the two goblins here. The banquet hall goblins continue undisturbed, watching the cooking pot's various performances - for the moment...)
A: Goblins 1, 2, 3 and 4 (unaware) B: Varinth C: Goblins 8, 9 and 10 (sleeping) D: Goblins 5, 6 and 7 (unaware) E: Sildar F: Chef (unaware) G: Strix, Scupper and Dekhan H: Goblins 11 and 12 (aware of Dekhan) I: Incantis
A: Goblins 1, 2, 3 and 4 are scurrying about and trying to avoid the chef's anger. They don't notice anything.
B: Varinth is up.
(Note - the spells on the cookpot have been cast and taken effect. Dekhan has burst into the small room and shouted, but the other goblins didn't hear. Incantis' strike has not yet occurred and will be resolved in this first round.)

Varinth will keep up the shenanigans of the fire sprites, mooning the Chef with their tiny wee bums. Hoping to keep the room in such an uproar that they don't hear Dekhan and Scupper dispatching the others.
While doing so he will take in the room and asses what is flammable.
Varinth, you get the feeling that the room is usually chaos, but not quite as much as this, judging from the extremes of laughter from some of the goblins. It doesn't seem to have occurred to them to ask where the magic, if it is magic, is coming from. There's not much flammable in the room; there are no wall hangings, no carpets, and no piles of rubbish. Of course the wooden tables and doors would burn under an intense enough heat, but they won't catch fire easily.
C: Goblins 8, 9 and 10 (sleeping)
The goblins keep sleeping. There's been no noise so far out of the ordinary, and they've learned to tune it out.
D: Goblins 5, 6 and 7 (unaware)
The goblins are sitting at a table and watching the chef's furious dance, holding their sides as they laugh.
E: Sildar
Sildar watches you all, hanging back, gripping his longsword and waiting for the battle to commence.
F: Chef (unaware)
The Chef shouts again and again at the various goblins darting around him. It's in goblin so you can't make it out, but he is paying no attention to anything but the cookpot, and his strikes against his underlings don't connect much, they just cause the other goblins to dance out of the way. After a moment, he goes in, and with his large wooden spoon strikes the pot once loudly. It doesn't appear to wake up the sleeping goblins however.

Scupper is now standing in the midst of three sleeping goblins, but still within Strix's stealth zone.
(I'm stuck centrally keeping us hid do I can't kill the sleepers. Translation : Incantis, get stabbing!)

I actually meant the other room that we can’t see into on the left was the one Dekhan was barging into. Sorry that should have been clearer. 😬
Deception 4
OOC: shit.
Sorry, no, it was clear as you wrote it, I just misread. We can retcon, as almost nothing has happened yet.
Dekhan bursts into the room where two goblins are keeping watch (poorly) on the main door, bows in their hands.

Not that its likely to matter but the spell doesn’t have concentration so it’ll evidently just be wacky inflatable arm man soup for an hour
