The half-orcs nod, apparently grateful and eager to leave, which they do. The unconscious humans are dragged to the side of the square, where some nice-looking folk promise to take good care of them and not pick their pockets, honest.
The crowd cheers at Strix’s words, though it seems there are some different interpretations of his meaning which lead to discussion, argument and eventually some more brawls.
Scuppers fight ends with his offer to buy a drink for everyone who was involved, shouted into a large crowd. Suddenly it seems that most of the square was part of the fight, and they take Scupper’s free drink happily. It costs 1 gold piece.
It’s still not all that late for this part of town. Where are you all headed next?
Varinth, watching the fight, does what most young men who don't really know how to fight do. He shouts when he thinks it appropriate and shadow boxes in that strange way that young men do that may hint to a casual observer that he trained the actual combatant.
He cheers loudly at Strix's win and even louder at Scuppers offer of a drink.
Nice right cross there, lad. It's good to know this town still allows a bit o' tussle to work off the drink...and then more drink. Where the town watch get off too for their after shifter tussle? Poor bastards always walking about wit a stuck up their bum...one hopes they lets off they steam somehow. Keeps their truncheon off me noggin.
Varinth partakes in Scupper’s generosity, and there’s a general good mood in the square. You pass time with the folks here, and as a group you seem to have attracted a bit of interest. A few people ask if you’re an adventuring party, and whether you have a name...
Scupper, you know well that free drinks can get people talking. Hah, the Watch is it? You’ll see them in this square, time to time. This is about as far into the docks as they’ll brave. They don’t run this Ward, and they know it. There’s differing opinions as to who does run the ward. The name Coffer is mentioned, as are a couple of gangs, the Bones and the Dockwalkers. But everyone is suddenly very circumspect about the details.
It’s after midnight, and the square is growing quiet. People are headed home for a long morning sleeping in bed, or straight to work in the fish markets or elsewhere. Lights are going out, though drunks are still moaning individually or singing in groups as they head out.
Theres a flash of orange light, some way off into the Dock Ward. It’s gone in a moment, but you hear cries and screams. And it’s followed by a dimmer, but more persistent orange glow. It looked a lot like a fireball, as you know from your past encounter with a fire-wielding bandit, and Varinth, you are certain it was the same.
You head off towards the source of the explosion and fire, at a run. On the way, you pass many headed in the other direction, their faces fearful.
You start to smell the fires and see charred bits of building. You round a corner, and ahead of you see several men inspecting some very burnt corpses. You see five men in total, and the one furthest from you, busily emptying the pockets of a large, dead humanoid, is wearing robes instead of armour. One of the others, better armoured and seemingly more alert, notices your arrival. He rises slowly. If I were you, friends, I'd back away, and quick. You don't want...
In another, you see his eyes go wide with recognition. He points in your direction. It's him! And... shit, she wants them alive. Hey Vorner, he shouts at the presumed mage, soften them up for us.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

(Gulp! Given all the commoners in the last fight dropped with one punch and the declaration comes after the hit and damage rolls is it safe to assume I didn't spend any ki stunning them?)
Midnight in the large city is fascinating to Incantis, and he's more awake than usual at this hour. He follows the group along. When the fireball concusses, he darts along after Vaz, keeping himself to the side and the shadows as Zhudala flies further ahead. "Be wary friends! "She" has apparently heard of us."
Zhudala perches invisible on a wall, waiting to see Scupper pick his target and help him by tossing a pebble at the target's shoulder.

Cragmyre Ironseed, earth genasi ancestral barbarian 3 ● Cyrus Natriallae, aquatic half-elf warlock of the deep 3
That's on Bandit 2, to get the advantage; it hits, a nice clean shot to the chest, not killing him but doing a big chunk of damage.
The mage, far from you in the dark street but illuminated by the flickering flames, seems to cast a spell; you see him rising off the ground and flying behind a building to the right (south/down on the map) so you can no longer see him.
Strix is up.
(The map doesn't show it, but most of the buildings are either badly burned or on fire.)
(Edit: No, Strix hasn't used any ki points today, at least not in the brawl just now. He was able to knock the brawlers out with ease.)
As a bonus action, I'd like to give Strix advantage by calling out any movement or changes I see ("mage moved south, that feck took an arrow te the chest")

FeCkles! Varinth points in the direction of the screams.
LEt'sh gO get 'eM!
And he's off, like a gazelle with a head injury, Varinth bounds off toward the sounds.
Strix bounds after him, unsure if he's supporting Varinth or mitigating whatever he's about to do.
