"Ahh bright light", groaned Hawk as he covered part of his eyes. His dark vision had set it. That probably explained how he was missing everyone. Walking over to Atticus. He looks at the block and the crowbar. "Very well, lets me take a crack at it." Strength Roll : 23
Rather than use a Crowbar Hawk stabbed his finger's into the stone and used his brute force in a attempt to pull the stone out the ground.
Hawk strolls up to atticus, rubbing his eyes. After a moment the orc seems to have collected himself, taking and wedging the crowbar into a crack with the most give. Hawk pushes down, putting all of his considerable weight onto the crowbar. The stone begins to lift as the orc grunts, you hear the sound of bending metal as the crowbar literally bends under both the force of Hawk and the weight of the stone slab.
After a few moments and with one last push, Hawk forces down on the crowbar and the stone slab heaves up and out of its spot. Now that you see the slab, It is almost 3 feet in thickness and weighs a couple hundred pounds for sure.
As the slab heaves out of the hole, Atticus and Hawk you hear what sounds like a latch let loose of something. There is a whirring of gears and a shifting of stone, Behind you the Obelisk shifts and begins to rise higher into the air. Raising an extra 4 feet until it stops, With the newly raised portion of the obelisk you see a hollow portion that is 2 feet deep and 2 feet wide. In the vacancy lay a Brilliantly made Lute. Made of some ind of dark oak and stained to show the intricate patterns the wood itself has.
Gold lines it edges, The strings themselves look like shining ivory.

Imras you lay down on the floor and see that th stone slab that is jutting out is maybe an inch thick, there is more then enough room to get your tools in there so you goto work. Taking a lock pick you reach it in and hold onto a latch that triggers when the stone is stepped on, Following a small copper wire to where the actual firing mechanism is. Gently reaching in with your dagger you sever it and hear a dull thud as the slab falls into place. The trap is Disarmed.

I remove the lute and hold it out in the light. Does it give off an aura of magic? “Do we have any performers in the group? Someone that knows the way of the lute?”
Atticus the Instrument is giving off a very faint magical aura, and because you rolled so high you can tell its an enchantment that allows anyone to play this instrument. Even if that person does not know how to.
It dosent really warrant an Identify so.
Basically,If you do not know how to play a Lute, While playin this one you can add your proficiency bonus to a performance check made while playing it. If you do know how to play the lute (Which none of you do.) You double the proficiency bonus.
A Little Homebrew item I made for this one Ordeal, Its the only one in the cave. Just wanted to try it out.
Atticus plucks at the strings and while they do give a tune, they are horribly out of sync with one another, His fingers getting in the way of eachother.
At The Statue, The statue shifts and begins to move as the female figure on the statue takes a new pose. Cradling the lute with her left arm, while 3 of her right fingers rest on three specific strings. The higher and second highest on the neck and one away from the lowest, each are fairly close to the body of the lute.

Imras' attention jerks up tot he statue as it moves. Seeing it's fingers move on the lute, he looks back to where he heard Atticus playing the lute he'd found. "Her fingers are resting on three specific strings," he says. "The 2 highest on the neck and the second from lowest. Near the body of the instrument. Try playing those."
Atticus will shift his fingers to match the new position the statue had moved into. After his fingers are placed, he takes another strum on the strings.
Whereas previously, Atticus showed no talent with the Lute whatsoever. This time however it seems like he quickly learned his previous mistakes and cast them aside. Not letting his fingers get in the way of eachother. Atticus now shows talent with the instrument that only the most Masterful bards have shown.
The tune begins soft and dull as he plucks at the three strings, each giving a kind of somber tone. As if recognizing the tune, His fingers shifts to further up the Neck but on the same three strings. The statues fingers do follow but behind Atticus, Unable to keep up with the man as he seems to enter a trance like state.
The melody from the lute becomes jovial and As if it wasnt enough. Another statue begins to shift some distance away. A Viol in this ones hand, the tunes begin to match. The instruments match eachother in tone and harmonize, Filling the chamber with the sound of music.
Stone Melodies. Linger in the chamber as it comes to a final and wonderful end.
The Obelisk shifts once more and begins to sink into the ground, Vanishing beneath the stonework; Leaving another mass of darkness that leads downwards. As if from air a chest appears Just in front of it.

Atticus will take a bow after completing the tune. The lute he will pack away (if he can take it). "Well well my friends, seems we are at another crossroads in our journey. I fell I need no rest after such a pleasant musical experience. I say we press on, but of course, we shall take into account any of the others opinions on the matter."
Atticus you can most certainly take the Lute with you and you know how to play Stone Melodies with it now.
At this point, Stanford who had been fairly quiet threwout this entire ordeal Walks up to the hole and without stepping into it. A Bright light encompasses him and he vanishes.
So, Rest an take your levels and loot or Push forward once again?
You have two levels waiting for you when you rest and 6 unknown pieces of gear in the chest.
Imras grimaces. "I don't know about the rest of you, but after getting frozen by that statue I certainly wouldn't say no to a rest. And who knows what's in that chest. Could be some stuff that'd be useful in the upcoming challenges."
"Holy crap that worked", spoke Hawk in suprise. He was sure they had to release wind or something. It seemed the riddle was more literal than he thought. Still he preyed that their next encounter will be someting that suits his strengths. That being said Hawk had to keep his eyes on the prise. He needed to get out of here, and make the person who put them here pay. What sick freak would make them go though these challenges.
"I was pratically useless in that last event. So whatever you all decided I am game. Also, the name is Hawk. I never really introduced myself."
