As the Elf woman comes out and joins her with the guards Filli wonders what is going on inside, she had expected the warriors to lead the way as the group exited for they certainly seemed keen. As the elf speaks to the guard asking about the woman named Alea Filli tries to get a sense of what is going on, she presumes that this must be her sister given mention of the identical appearance.
Turning to face her she simply says "Is everything okay?"
The guards outside listen to Filli's story, and then speak. "Of course, Ms. Goldenfield. If you need us for anything, just ask. Meanwhile, we'd like to see the bodies of those pirates you mentioned." One of them then turns to the Polarian woman as she exits the tavern. "I'm sorry lass, I've never heard of a woman named Alea around here. But there is an Elven lass who passed through here recently. She looked just like you. She went north from here, probably heading to Darkport. If you're looking for her, check there."
Mugs walks out passing the guards on the way in. Stopping one she points to the 5 bodies on the ground. "That's them there. Now who do I have to go to about a reward or some sort of bounty for keeping the peace around here?"
Afterwards she heads over to Filli. When she finishes her current conversation she'll ask, "So what's the plan regarding Larkins map? If he keeps if they'll just come back again to finish the job won't they?" Mugs pauses briefly, "Chances are we won't be around to save him then too. "
Larkan leaves the inn as well, as the guards move in to inspect the bodies. He quickly catches up with Filli. "Ms. Goldenfield, if I may. I have a ship docked at the harbor. It serves no purpose now, as I no longer sail the ocean as I did when I was younger, but it may help the lot of you. Wherever you're going, and if you're going to save Gerant and Vons, the gnome, you better take a ship. Walking to Blood Shoals is not the best path, especially with natives about. As for the map..."
Larkan goes into the inn, and withdraws a roll of paper from under the counter, then returns. "It is here if you need it. The ship's name is Windborne. I ask of you, lady Goldenfield, that you accept my offer." He hands you the deed to the ship as well as the map.
The guards look at Mugs as she asks her question. "If you want payment, join the Navy. Better yet, loot a pirate ship." They begin to laugh, "Not like the Navy could sink one of them pirates anyway!"
As she is about to reply to Mugs Larkan appears and puts a clear end to the question of the map. With a quick smile at Mugs she looks to Larkan and says in a particularly gracious tone "Larkan my friend, you are most generous. It would be my honor to let Windborne free upon the seas once more, especially when there are those in need of our aid. I shall endeavor to bring both Gerant and Vons back to Stormhaven safely, and it seems that I shall not have to look far for a group of capable companions either."
She then takes his hand in her own before she continues: "I shall speak with the captain of the watch before I leave and have him arrange for a permanent duty assigned here until we know that Ratbeard is no longer a threat. May Argon's light watch over you friend." With that she closes her eyes and whispers a quiet prayer to Argon for protection over Larkan.
Turning back to Mugs with the smile reappearing on her face she simply says "So, how would you like a job? From what I hear the reward could be quite handsome." Then with a glance to Dara quickly adds "What about you friend? You lent a hand inside, and I gather you are looking for someone. I would be more than happy to take you to Darkport once we have rescued our quarry?"
"Yeah that sounds good, but I don't know how I feel about getting on a boat with a bunch of other greenhorns and sailing into a pirate stronghold. Shouldn't we gather more information?", Mugs asks. "Also shouldn't we approach by land where the people who've spent their lives killing on the seas don't have as much of an advantage?"
Fillichuckles before she replies "Just about anyone who's lived in Stormhaven for any length of time knows how to fight on a boat friend, and two of the others who I hope will join us are sailors by trade. Given the mess you made in there, I would guess you'll take to it pretty fast yourself. As to gathering more information, I agree with you there. I'm sure there is plenty more we can learn about Ratbeard's hole before we go anywhere. So, what say you...eh...I don't believe I caught your name actually. Will you join me? You'll see your fair share of whatever gold or treasure we find."
Mugs crosses her arms, "My name is Mugs Legushka." She looks down at her shoes for a minute and shakes her head, "I don't like the idea of going by sea but I don't know that much about these matters. I'll go with you." Mugs looks back up and winks at Filli and continues in a cheery tone, "We better find some pirate treasure though."
Filli holds out her hand in greeting "Nice to meet you Mugs, and I'm glad that you will join me. Now to see about the others."
((Basiel has started to move the bodies from the kitchen back into the main room. He is/was anticipating that the time they had to interrogate the pirate before the guards interrupted them was nearing an end. He doesn't want to face questions about interrogating a prisoner in a kitchen, as that is likely frowned upon, and is trying to return everything to the way it was in the main room, now that the need to be hiding their activities is over, in his opinion. He also felt that the information gathered was all they would get from a henchman such as the one they have prisoner. Hopefully, he will have completed this by the time the guards enter - perhaps with help from Benagol and Ericka.
To answer your earlier question @dndpro100, you did understand correctly: Basiel wants to hand over the prisoner and the corpses to the guards, to absolve himself of legal liability and moral responsibility. As a player, I think our next move is to formally unite our characters as a party and decide together what our goals are vis-à-vis the map, the gnome Vons, and the human Gerant.))
Benagol , even if not totally convinced, thinks that what Basiel is doing , if not totally right, is to avoid to be seen as wrong doers, so he joins and help him
Erika follows Larkin who has the map, and listens to Filli offer Mugs a job. “If you’re willing to hire one more, I’d love to come with you to La Fortaleza. Seems like it will be an interesting journey.” She looks around at the others outside, trying to gauge who else would be coming.
Turning to Erika Filli answers with a smile and offers her hand in greeting to the elf "I would be glad to have another along. I must confess, i missed your name also. So tell me, is it La Fortaleza that Ratbeard has taken Gerant and Vons? Did he reveal anything more?"
"No, Ratbeard is docked in the Blood Shoals to the North. He's looking for the map you're holding so he could infiltrate La Fortaleza and steal some treasure hidden there." Mugs said filling Filli in. "I don't much see the point in bringing the map with us given that we'd be walking Ratbeard's treasure map right into his house." Mugs spends the next few minutes filling Filli into what information was gained from the surviving pirates out of earshot of the guards. Including the convenient timing of Gerant's disappearance and the pirates showing up knowing Larkin had the map.
Filli frowns when Mugs makes her suspicions about Gerant clear. She knew he was desperate, but surely he wouldn't have been that stupid would he? Regardless it didn't change what they had to do.
"I would agree with you there, I shall take the map to my family vault. It will be safe there while we visit the Blood Shoals." She frowns again at the thought of visiting the Blood Shoals before she shakes her head in an effort to clear the weight of responsibility she is feeling for a brief moment. "By Argon this day has gotten interesting awful fast."
Upon hearing about her sister, a pained look flashes through Dara's eyes, but that gets quickly hidden when the revelation of her getting nearer to her sister finally settles. Dara nods in thanks as she provides a small smile to the guard and says,
"Thank you so much."
She makes sure to keep note that her sister was seen going north. If she was not at Darkport, or there were no signs of her traveling through at all, she might have to continue going northward. As the guards walked by her to enter the tavern, she heard a voice by her side asking if she was alright. Dara gave her a small smile, as she said,
"I'm alright now. I am Dara, it is nice to meet you. Thank you, you are...?" (She waits for the halfling woman to introduce herself since Dara isn't aware of the halfling's identity)
The news of her sister has infinitely brightened Dara's day, almost washing her exhaustion out of the way. But before their conversation could continue, the human that seemed to glance at her within the building popped out and started conversing to the halfling immediately. Dara felt a little out of place, not having been a social elf. She had never needed to unless absolutely necessary due to her days in the military. And yet, even before that conversation could continue too, Larkan came out to join in. She awkwardly stood there, an empty look that elves had perfected just taking the place of the smile.
And yet, she is brought out of that daydream-like phase when she hears Filli offer her passage to Darkport. Of course, Dara wished that she could head immediately to the place, but the offer was appealing. After a few seconds of thought, Dara nodded as she said,
"I'll take you up on that offer. I appreciate it."
With that, she had followed the group back inside the inn, putting her hood back up, feeling self-conscious about showing her face so openly. She just silently observes the rest of her new crew interact with others, not sure how to introduce herself to this quickly-made crew.
Once everything has settled, Dara would like to settle in a room, and before she sleeps, she spends an hour and 10 minutes casting Find Familiar (this is getting cast as a ritual) to get her white weasel familiar by the name of Aspen. Once this is done, she turns in for the night, feeling a little more hopeful by the news of her sister.
Turning to Dara Filli smiles at the Elf and gives her a gentle nod. "I'm glad you are okay. I am Filli, Filli Goldenfield. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance Dara, and I'm glad that you will join us."
Turning to Larkan she says "That sounds most agreeable friend, it would ease my worries to remain close until I can speak with the captain in the morning."
Heading back inside with the others Filli immediately goes looking for Basiel and Benagol. Pulling the two of them aside and produces the map to show them before she says "Friends, you have both done much already this day so please take my thanks. This is the offending map that has caused so much trouble. Larkan has also kindly given me the deed to his ship, the Windborne. I intend to set off for the Blood Shoals and rescue those who are missing from Ratbeard and I was hoping that you would both join us. You have both lived a life at sea and your experience would be most valuable indeed. I can only promise you a fair share of whatever we might find, but I am sure that whatever happens there will be plenty of excitement and danger. I am going to place the map in my family vault in the morning before we leave, we shall talk about what we do with that upon our return from the Blood Shoals. So what say you both?"
Filli puts the map away in her pack once more before giving Benagol a smile "It's good to hear that, and to see such enthusiasm too. Larkan has suggested we stay here this night and it seems a sensible suggestion to me. I will pay for the rooms, so please get comfortable."
((legible, fine, but maybe because of my poor english I didn't understand what you wanna do...you wanna give him to the guards?! then what?))

ah, ah, things are getting interesting!

Benagol replies, touching his mustache:
"I will go at my place tonight: I must close everything , collect my things and all...dont' worry: I will be here for breakfast, see you tomorrow"
also because he thinks:
I don't want to be here if the pirates send other ruffians to check what happened to Quarren's friend...those fools!
and indeed he does as he said: he goes home, collect the few things he has that may come handy (like fishing rods and stuff),
In the morning he wakes up early, closes all the windows and doors and heads toward the others for breakfast
